Mascara -Stila - HUGE Extreme Lash Mascara

on 10/15/2017 6:03:00 PM

I've only worn this mascara once but so far I absolutely love it. It makes my eyelashes look both thick and long. I will update once I've worn it longer.

Eye Shadow -Stila - Eyes are the Window palette - Spirit

on 10/11/2017 11:21:00 PM

Lovely colors and great, huge mirror that can be bent backwards quite far. I bought it 30% off, from CameraReadyCosmetics, without the opportunity to swatch the colours first. Very happy that I did not pay the full price of $50.

The first thing that is worth noticing is that there are 3 different palettes: Mind, Spirit and Soul, which have slightly different colors and textures. This one has two matte colors: chinois (vanilla) and puppy (coffee with milk) (both named puppy... hmmm) - I dislike both because, while they are great colours, there is basically NO color payoff if I don't use a primer first - they fade into nothingness when blended out. Chinois is a vanilla color, and I have NC25-30 skin color, and the shadow does not show up AT ALL without primer.

The rest of the colors are shimmery/satin - no glitter in any of them. ALL of the shadows in the palette are quite powdery - I have to tap the shadows to pick up product - swirling the brush in these would make them go everywhere because of how loosely packed these shadows are. None of the shadows are especially pigmented. While many of the colors are pretty, their staying power is about 3 hours - they fade horribly and slide around and into the creases of my eyelids. After applying three of the darkest colors (pigalle, barefoot and espresso - the three right ones) to my eyes, at the end of the day it wasn't even possible to see approximately what colour eyeshadow I was wearing. While I can wear MAC shadows without a primer, I absolutely need a primer with the Stila shadows - they don't last over bare eyelids, concealer or foundation only. I use the MAC 24h Prep + Prime Eyeshdow Primer under the Stila shadows; this primer can make anything last all day - I often use them for loose pigments

While I love the packaging of the shadows: the huge mirror, the thin palette, no unneeded space for brushes and other crap, great colors, with no two that are alike, the quality of the shadows in just bad IMO. I would recommend this only for those that are willing to wear a primer under the shadows - you simply cannot do without in this case. Am I mad at this palette? Yes I am, but I will still give it 2 lippies because I can actually use the shadows with primer.

Blush -Stila - Petunia Convertible Color

on 10/11/2017 6:12:00 AM

I LOVE the colour. When applied on my cheeks it gives a natural bright, fresh-looked face. Plus I love how cream blush look natural on me. Sadly this causes small bumps on my cheeks so I wouldn't repurchase.

Brows -Stila - Stay All Day Waterproof Brow Color

on 10/9/2017 3:57:00 PM

I picked this up because I needed something to help me extend my brows slightly and pencil and pomade just weren't cutting it. My brow tails are so thin most products didn't look natural.

I picked this up in Light. I wasn't sure it would work at first because the first swatch was so sheer. However, it is buildable so this actually can be an asset to some. You can get a very sheer, light colour if needed. It can however, be a little tedious when filling in some spots. I really only noticed the sheerness with lighter shades.

This product LASTS. The swatch on the back of my hand lasted an entire day.

It does have a little bit of a shine to it but it's nothing anyone would notice.

It's perfect for fine, precise work and it doesn't budge. The tails of my brows look natural and they don't smear off part way through the day like pencil did.

If you want a very precise brow, a more natural look or want to draw in individual hairs, this is the product for you.

Lips -Stila - Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick

on 10/8/2017 10:00:00 PM

I recently purchased a Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick on sale at Sephora for $12 in the color Baci and I adore both the color and the formula.

Formula: 5/5 Has a creamy mousse like consistency and smells exactly like a tub of vanilla frosting (yum!)
Doesn't dry down too quickly so you have time to work with it. It dries down to a matte velvet finish and is very light on the lip and I often forget I am even wearing lipstick! So comfortable!

Wear: This definitely has staying power, I get at least 5-6 hours without a need for touch ups. Which brings me to the way it wears off. It fades evenly and you can simply add another coat without having to remove it first which is super important to me. The other thing about the lipstick that I love is that it doesn't chip off like every other liquid lip I have!

Color: Baci
The best way to describe this color is lavender/grey and for once a greyish tone that doesn't make me look dead-yay! It's depth is comparable to a nude but lighter than their best seller Patina.

My favorite way to wear it is with a plum smokey eye using Kat Von D eyeshadow quad. Stunning!

I would absolutely recommend this lipstick to both liquid lipstick virgins and pro's alike.
