Foundations -Max Factor -Pan Stik

on 9/8/2018 1:53:00 AM

I'll get the bad out of the way first.

The black plastic case for the Pan Stik breaks fairly easily. I've had to tape it up to keep it together. The case cracks down the middle, and then the bottom falls off.

Will that keep me from using this excellent product? Never!

I've worn this makeup from when I was a teenager. I'm now a senior citizen and I love it just as much. Oh I've spent loads of money on other foundations from department stores including Estee Lauder, Bobbi Brown, MAC, Bare Escentuals, It Cosmetics, and several others from QVC. They're okay but I always wind up going back to my Pan Stik. It never disappoints me! I wear the #13 Nouveau Beige, and it's perfect for my complexion. It's not shiny or oily on me, it glides on and I use my fingers to gently spread it around. I do use a concealer when I need it, and sometimes I use Touch Eclat as a brightener, but I don't really need it.

I will use this product forever!!

Lipstick -Max Factor -Color Intensifying Balm

on 9/4/2018 8:16:00 AM

I have this in a mid-orange called Posh Puppy. I do like the color a lot, but this is a pretty small lipstick, and even after a year, I'm not through it. Why? Well. Even though it's decent at moisturizing, nice texture and has a good color, it - just like many other lipsticks from Max Factor - has a very weird, melted plastic smell. When I breathe in through my mouth, it also tastes burnt plastic. Very nasty and also makes it seem like something I shouldn't be applying to any part of my body at all. I really don't like the look of the packaging either: it looks so cheap! The taupe gold (the cheap color of gold, not like in their promo pictures) combined with the plastic is just not aesthetically pleasing at all, and gets scratches easily. Looks like something that belongs in the Dollar Store. Had I pulled off the cheap-looking sticker with the color name, I would also not have known what this product is called - not very effective marketing IMO.

Will try to finish this, but no way I'm re-purchaing, and would not recommend, unless you're fine with lip products that smell burnt plastic.

Liquid -Max Factor -Lasting Performance Long Lasting Make-Up

on 9/2/2018 11:44:00 AM

I found this product very long time ago (approximately 10 years ago) and it is still the best foundation I ever tried. I stopped using it for ethical reasons and turned my preferences to cruelty free brands. Sadly, I haven't find anything that could give me the same result. It is a perfect buildable foundation for hiding spots, pimples and acne scars and at the same time, it doesn't look like a mask or leave cakey finish. It also stays on during the whole day and allows easily make corrections if needed. Futhermore, when I was using this product my skin didn't go worse, so it somehow didn't clog the pores and my skin was fine. So, if Max Factor would be cruelty free brand I would definitely still use it. But as I believe animal testings are not worth the beauty I'm not capable for buying it anymore.

Stick -Max Factor -PAN - STICK

on 8/25/2018 6:57:00 PM

This has to be the most underrated foundation of all time, especially for people with dry skin. I use it as a concealer but often use it as a foundation on its own, it gives a very smooth, natural medium coverage without going cakey or settling into any lines or dry patches. I can put this under my eyes and it doesn't crease, theres not many foundations or concealers I can say that about. It covers redness and can be easily carried in my makeup bag and reapplied when needed. Although its small there is allot of product in there and it lasts me a year if not more, for the price that's incredible.
The only let down is there shade range, I find them either slightly too orange or too pink toned and they dont do shades pale enough. That said there darker shades work great as contour sticks if youve pale skin.

This is an absolute classic foundation, ive been using it since I was 13, im now 29 and have abandoned it over the years for more expensive alternatives but have always gone back to it, there is no other like it.

Mascara -Max Factor -2000 Calorie Mascara

The best ever!!! I think they discontinued it again though. I can’t find it anywhere. It stays on and makes lashes look long and full...doesn’t run or smudge.
