My daughter has been on this for a month along with Doxycycline (100 mg/day) and Sulfaclense.face wash. It was tough going for the first several weeks, with her breakouts getting worse, but now it has cleared up and no new pimples. She had small under the skin clogged pore bumps all over, but a few days ago they started to get fewer and fewer. She also had a lot of redness, which got better soon …Read more

After insurance, this cost me $100. I had clear skin my whole life, then suddenly in my 30’s have gotten hormonal acne.
I have used retinoids from my derm for $5. They work ok, but I just figured out it’s the cause of these small flesh colored bumps on my chin/jawline. Prob bc the pores clogging ingredients. It also left my skin barrier impaired, & I was always dry & itchy. I decided …

I was prescribed this in combination with Atralin, and I quite like it. Cosmetically, it's not the most pleasing product - it dries to a gritty white texture. It's not something you can throw on your zits and run out the door with!

What I do like: it doesn't dry the skin out and ruin it like BP. It can sting and itch a bit, on particularly juicy zits, but it works well …

Great product! It works really well on inflamed, red acne and takes it down very quickly. It has no affect on closed comedones or blackheads. It works on EXTREMELY sensitive skin without drying it out or irritating it. I would highly reccomend this to anyone who doesn’t tolerate products such as salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide.

Flattens microcysts and bigger cysts as well in nothing flat. Doesn't quite work overnight miracles, but pretty close to it. Useful for the bumpies aka "texture" which are lurking under the surface but not yet inflamed, as well as incipient cysts which are just starting to redden but aren't yet that angry red purple we all fear. I use it in conjunction with Spironolactone …Read more

This doesn't make anything worse but I also don't feel like it helped anything either. I also feel like it exacerbates my already dry skin.

I hit 30 and my skin went a little nuts with cystic acne along my cheeks. I tried a few combos with no luck for the past 3 years. I switched to the Eminence probiotic cleanser which helped, but would still get clogged pores that would sit under my skin for a couple months before turning into cystic pimples that took weeks to go away.

This year, I went on Tazorac .05% gel (I think the …

After using my first tube, i can say that it seems very effective at treating and preventing my cystic acne but ineffective on blackheads and related clogs. My regimen calls for using this twice a day after an AHA moisturizer. The pharmacist recommend this and it seems to improve the efficacy. At night, I top this with Epiduo. While I have sensitive skin and allergies, my skin tolerates …Read more

I am 36 and in the past year began getting cystic acne on my chin, cheeks and temples. The cysts were incredibly red, itchy, and painful. They never came to a head and seemed to never fully heal. Because they wouldn't heal, I would pick at them.

I tried natural remedies, Proactive, clindagel and PRID. PRID seemed to help a bit with inflammation, but my skin would peel and …

The number of break-outs has decreased but any break-out is too many. I have just been prescribed spironolactone and will be reviewing that also.
