Shampoo -Suave -Naturals Juicy Green Apple Shampoo

on 5/18/2018 1:54:00 AM

I have very short, bleached hair and thought this shampoo would dry it out. It's actually very smoothing to my hair but doesn't weigh it down as it has a gel consistency instead of a cream consistency which can suffocate the scalp. I used to use the Suave Professional shampoos that would really coat and weigh my hair down. This essentials line is so great especially as every scent is very fresh smelling. For the price of 98 cents this shampoo is a steal.

Shampoo -Suave -Daily Clarifying Shampoo

Daily clarifying shampoo sounds a bit counterintuitive to me because these should be used only once a week. It strips off the residue fairly well on my hair. I can imagine using this daily will surely dry out one's hair.

I bought the large bottle for super cheap on amazon to use for co wash for my fine slightly wavy hair. it does work well for co wash. It isn't heavy and it rinses easily. But it fades my color and knots my hair. I hate the flip top bottle. It is not a toggle top so it is hard on my manicure but for the couple of bucks I am reaching for a complaint. I won't repurchase. The smell is cheap and I have to use a ton to co wash my hair and since it is tough on my hair it is a no go.

Conditioner -Suave -Rose Oil Infusion

This is a lightweight conditioner that imparts a little manageability to hair. It's basically a really nice smelling detangler. I don't prefer to use this with the matching shampoo because it's just not emollient enough to work well with it. I do like it a lot matched with more emollient shampoos, like Suave's Morrocan Shine for example.

Shampoo -Suave -Rose Oil Infusion

This is an old school volumizer, which means it's a product that removes all buildup from the hair, unlike the newer volumizers that add coats of protein or silicone to temporarily thicken the strands. So basically what it's doing is it is removing anything that could be weighing the hair down. It leaves the hair fluffy and it's fantastic for second day hair since the effect lasts a long time. It also smells fantastic. This is a very nice rose scent, not cheap smelling at all. I don't like using it together with the matching conditioner, although I do like the conditioner matched with another shampoo. Suave products tend to work better as mix and match than to use the entire line, at least for me, YMMV. The reason I'm docking a lippie is because I've noticed my hair color fading a little bit faster than usual. I'll definitely keep this shampoo in my lineup, but I don't want to use it daily.
