RIMMEL

RIMMEL

Originally founded by Eugene Rimmel in 1834 as a perfumery in London, Rimmel Cosmetics has gone on to become popular worldwide. Eugene was a pioneer in developing personal hygiene products like mouth rinse and pomade. After inheriting Rimmel's beauty empire in 1887, his two sons expanded on their father’s success internationally as they developed new color lines focusing on eye-enhancing products, most notably, Rimmel’s famous mascaras. In 1996, the company was aquired by Coty Inc. and is currently Britain's best-selling makeup brand. It can be found in 40 countries worldwide, and the brand prides itself on creating affordable, contemporray, cutting-edge makeup.

These are amazing! I've lost count of how many I have. The colours are amazing and I get a good four or five days chip free which is fine for me as I get bored of the same colour very fast. Such a bargain price aswell!

Rimmel to the rescue with this inexpensive but wonderful product! Ever since Revlon discontinued my beloved Colorstay Whipped foundation, I’ve been looking for a replacement. I wanted something with full, long-lasting coverage that didn’t oxidize or look greasy. Rimmel Stay Matte in Porcelain Ivory is a great match for my light-medium, yellow-toned skin. It isn’t too peachy or orange, hurrah! It also doesn’t oxidize, covers really well with a small amount, and lasts for 10-12 hours without blotting or touch-ups. I can even use a dab under my eyes as concealer. It’s easy to spread and sets to a soft velvety finish. Because it comes in a squeeze tube you don’t have to worry about the product getting germs in it. Yes, it is a matte product so if you have dry skin, you’ll want to mix it with a moisturizer. I’m almost 50 but still have oily/combination skin, so this formula works well for me and doesn’t accentuate lines and wrinkles (it might do so on someone with drier skin, tho). Just a note about the color selection, the shade names are ridiculous and not very descriptive. They have like 6 colors all called some type of “ivory,” before moving on to medium-deep shades called “beige” or “sand.” And believe or not, Porcelain Ivory is the darkest of the “ivory” shades! So I highly recommend actually going to the store and taking the cap off the tube so you can see what you’re getting 😊

I also got this shade the sametime as the Nude one but i definitely like the look of this one more. Is a similar shade to the Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil in Hot Chocolate but is a little different. I really like the staying power of this because i have very watery eyes especially when i apply liner so i know whether or not something is going to last almost as soon as i apply it to the water line. This survives the application which is impressive because i havent had many do that, this is perfect for making blue eyes pop without shrinking them or looking too harsh.
