This was just okay for me. It was great for when I actually heat styled my hair. But I live in Florida and more than half the time I would let my hair air dry. Whenever I sprayed this on, then let it air dry, it would get crunchy. The fragrance was kinda weird too - clean, but in a chemically kind of way, if that makes sense. Whenever I did heat style my hair, it did seem to protect it from frying. So I can't really claim that it's a bad product. It's just not for me.

I had the EXACT experience as MaryEllen. Actually her review made me aware of what was happening. Massive hair shed and an itchy spot on my face and tops of my ears. Didn’t put it together because I was using this product 3x a year along with step one as a treatment. When I started using it regularly is about the time I started having issues. I’m discontinuing today and will update.
I’m sick thinking of how much hair this product has cost me.

Another love/hate affair for me...I like this one because it does actually help reduce my oily scalp and calms my scalp down (probably due to the Tea Tree oil in it), however the dislike is it's slightly on the harsh side which is no doubt due to the fact that it contains SLS. Rarely does my hair like any shampoo that contains it as I end up with hair that feels 'stripped' clean and dry, and not in a good sense! It's also got too much peppermint oil, straight out of Pureology's Hydrate shampoo books, PM have also added it at 6th place in the ingredients list, although unlike Pureology oddly I don't find my scalp itching after using this. It also foams less and smells quite refreshing and more natural. However I wouldn't use this long term simply because it doesn't agree with my hair and I end up having to use a hair mask weekly to try and restore my hair to its pre-shampoo state. The hunt for a good shampoo continues...Selena x~ My HG list ~(As I've sampled many 100s of skin, hair and m/u products over the last decade and a half, I thought it might be useful to share my top 10 must-have products, subject to change if and when I come across something more effective. Smells nice, is a little drying. It does nothing reduce my brassiness and seems to have no real benefits for my hair. Shampoo one is a much better option from Paul Mitchell as it's gentle and smells amazing. Would not repurchase this.

Realised that my hair has been getting thinner over the past few months and bought this as have scalp issues - sensitve/flaking/itching. It make hair super shiny and soft but have checked the ingredients and it contains non water soluble silicones. It has made my hair too soft, and it feels like it is snapping off and getting even thinner. My ponytail feels half as thick! It has however completely cleared my scalp and I have no flakes but I am too scared to continue using. Please make this in a silicone free formula!!
