I have this in both the soft sand and warm natural as my colour throughout the year changes with my daily activities. I live in a humid, tropical climate and I have sensitive, oily, acne prone skin.

I use this to set my foundation (BB foundation stick) and the colour matches my face to a T (F?). It is also does not make me breakout like most other powders. It does control shine and goes on very lightly without looking cakey. I find this applies best with a big fluffy brush (don't know what it's called. Just know it's soft and from sephora). Given the type of environments I'm in (in and out of humid 30'C++ and dry, air-conditioned 18'C - 25'C environments) this powder holds up well in keeping my shine in check, while not making my skin look dry and flat.

This works better for me than the pressed powder, but I'm not sure if it's due to the formulation or application. I use the provided pad for the pressed powder.

My only gripe with this is the packaging. It doesn't come with an internal twist cover that would block the holes and thus prevent product from spilling all over the inside. You will have to tap is right-side up to make sure most of the powder goes back into the pot before you open the lid. Especially if you carry this around with you and this does gymnastics in your bag. If you don't tap/ sift the powder back, you will encounter a foundation bomb when you unscrew the lid. True story. Be forewarned.

I absolutely love this powder! I like how its sheer and thus natural-looking. It also doesn't break me out (i am very very acne-prone) which makes me love it even more! I used to get it in pale yellow which really matches my yellow undertones, but i recently switched to soft sand which gives me a healthy-looking tan without overdoing it. It also mattifies and sets my concealer (i usually don't wear foundation). If i were to state what i don't like about this product, it would be the packaging. It can get really messy if I'm not careful and i don't want to spill it because its rather expensive. But that's about it. I love everything else about it!!

P.S. I have just purchased BB sheer finish pressed powder to overcome the packaging downside. I hope it works as great and doesn't break me out!

This powder gives good results. I've used this over foundation and BB cream. I've also used this alone on days when I didn't want to wear kind of base. The look that it created on its own impressed me. It creates a smooth finish. I don't think that this really controls oil all that well. I would recommend carrying around blotting papers and the pressed version for a mid-day touchup. One con is that it is quite expensive. As with most powders, it probably will last a while.

I LOVE Bobbi Brown cosmetics but this just didn't do it for me. The face powder is just okay. First of all, I have gotten to where I don't want to spend a whole lot of money on a face powder as it is just that, powder. The drugstore brands work just as well. Second, this powder actually made the dry parts on my face look even drier and flakier, and this was with a whole lot of moisturizer on my face. My concealer and foundation seems fine without the powder on my face, as those two don't dry my face out, so that's definitely a con. Third, this powder gives my face a slight yellowish tint that I do not need all over my face, especially when I am pale with pinky tones and my concealer and foundation match my skin tone to the best it can. However, it is sheer like it says, which I liked but all the other cons make this a no-go for me in the future. As I said earlier, drugstore powders, which are cheaper, work as good.

I like this powder for it's natural look and that its very fine. It covers a little, not too much but it's good for me. It mosly for removing the shine from your face though this effect is not very long lasting (as most powerders).
Overall........ this powder is good but there are many good powders for a cheaper price.......
Also the lid broke when I droped it. So I give it a 4.

One of my HG powders... I really can't do better than this powder... and believe me, I have spent a fortune trying just about every new powder that comes out... just knowing there is going to be another one that finally keeps my oily tzone matte all day... and folks, this powder by Bobbi Brown is the only one that even comes close... this powder and Clinique Gently Blended Loose Powder and MAC Blot Powder are the only ones I use now.... and I use this Bobbi Brown the most... for one simple reason... it works and it looks natural and non-cakey no matter how much I pack on. I have it in pale yellow (both loose and pressed) and soft sand... I am going to stop wasting my money on others...

I really like this powder, i think the only reason I didnt give it a 5 is because I may have gotten the wrong color. I got it in pale yellow, at the advice of my friend who likes to use it to cover up redness, but I really do not have much redness at all! So when i repurchase I will try another color.

This powder truly keeps my shine away and it sets my foundation beautifully. It doesnt over dry and doesnt look cakey as long as you sue the "less is more" mentality (Tapping off excess before applying). I only wish that I could take it with me! It does not travel well. And DO NOT drop it because it will SMASH.

Other than that I really enjoy this product and would recommend it to anyone looking for a loose powder for shine control.

If you're looking for a light-weight, finely milled, velvety finish powder then give this a go. It's very sheer and does not alter the colour or look of my foundation underneath it much, yet it creates smooth looking skin. The powder is oil-free and supposedly oil-absorbing, with Vitamin E. I use the shade Pale Yellow and it works well to mask redness. Pores are less visible and it sets my foundation nicely. Doesn't leave my face matte but gives a pretty somewhat satin finish. I'd love to try the pressed powder version though as the loose one can get a little messy.

This product really didn't do much for me. It didn't create any kind of long-lasting finish as advertised, and I had clear shine after just a couple of hours. No oil absorbing properties or flawlessness for me at all. It just kind of sat on my face and looked very obvious. I'm sure this works great for some, but just not me. (I have fair skin, combo/dry with sensitivities.)

This is the best powder that I have tried so far to set my makeup. It goes on smooth not cakey, it doesn't change the color of my foundation, it actually makes it look better, the finish is perfect. It's oil free, and does not cause me to breakout, I only have to use a blot paper twice and that's with 5 to 6 hours of wear. My color is "Golden Orange".
