Treatments (Face) -La Prairie -Cellular 3-Minute Peel

How had I forgotten to review this, I have no idea? I first discovered this after seeing a Youtube video about the peel, some 9 or 10 years ago. I tried it then and loved it straight away: pores smaller, skin much smoother than with any manual exfoliator, more even and any rough patches disappeared. It also flattened any acne on my chin or if I got the odd one on my forehead and it did this literally overnight! If you weren't aware, LP Cellular 3 Minute Peel is an AHA/BHA peel that combines Lactic, Glycolic and Salicylic acids at concentrations that you can use at home without the downtime you'd experience with a full strength peel. Not a big fan of the brush applicator that comes with it as it wastes product so I just use a spatula to apply and avoid getting fingers into jar.
Anyhow a year back I caught sight of it at an airport duty free and decided to treat myself to a jar. Results aside I just can't resist such stunning, sleek product packaging...a big weakness of mine I admit!

Now although I still love this product I have to say that in the interim period I've used all sorts of AHA products, from basics like The Ordinary, up to Drunk Elephant, Alpha-H, you name it! I cannot see a more pronounced difference with LP regardless of whether I leave on for 3 minutes as directed or 10 (the maximum my skin can take) and any of the others (bar The Ordinary which my skin did not react well to). The results on my face with AHA are more or less the same regardless of which brand is delivering them. To me LP feels more like a treat, something to gift someone, or oneself. I'm all for spending on premium products but if they perform just as efficiently as something that's a third of the price then I know which one I would pick up for regular use. For a once in a while treat/splurge though I will definitely keep coming back to LP.

Foundations -La Prairie -Skin Caviar Concealer Foundation Sheer

This is the best foundation I've ever had.
The coverage is amazing and you can build it by adding more layers for even better results. You will never feel cakey by wearing even 3 layers of this foundation (usually 2 layers are more than enough).
It is pricey of course, but only a small drop can cover a very large area on your face so you don't really run out fast of this foundation.
The concealer on the top is just heaven-sent. It can cover anything and it does feel very light on your skin.
I will def buy it again !

Moisturizers -La Prairie -White Caviar Crème Extraordinaire

I didn’t think I would see any effect with this product but since my mom swore by it after using it for only a few weeks, I wanted to try it out myself. Experienced micro peeling the first night, then had smoother skin in just a few days. Biggest effect is the fading of my acne marks that stubbornly won’t go away!! Ugh. The most unexpected effect is the lightening of my undereye area which have the darkest circles (2 months after using). I am definitely SOLD on all these cream’s claims! Wish I could use the serum in tandem with this one as well.

Liquid -La Prairie -Skin Caviar Essence-in-Foundation SPF 25 PA+++

on 7/13/2018 8:48:00 PM

Having used many LaPrairie products (never really enjoying the signature scent) .....this one is absolutely fabulous. I have the LP Caviar liquid foundation and it’s nice but a bit heavy. I just love how this immediately turns ordinary into extraordinary....for me. I do not use the little sponge puff, much prefer a damp beauty blender. I find that just a serum under it is sufficient for a moisturizer. I live in Canada and the spf is not shown on the packaging but it does have an spf of 25 which is a bonus and enough for me. Have yet to find one that I can stand on my skin, includes having tried too many. I have been trying to minimalize my ‘get ready’ time and this definitely helps. Love it and will continue to use.......$$$ permitting, it comes with a pricey ticket here in Canada ;-)

Masks -La Prairie -Skin Caviar Luxe Sleep Mask

I received a sample of this mask as part of a gift with purchase set. If it weren't for the exorbitant price tag I would definitely repurchase the full size. Although it's not a necessary part of my routine when I use this cream my skin is left feeling so smooth and radiant the next morning.
