What a JEWLRY!!!! La Prairie creates Bathroom Secrets!!! Luxurious foam, which makes your skin soft & glow...although the price FASHIONABLY EXPENSIVE!!!
but lasts 3 months at least, highly recommend it for oilyy/acne prone skin with the Age Managment Toner (especially if you use retinoids). continued >>

I had this item for a few days. I have been using La Mer Gel Cleanser for the past couple years. I am not going to lie, this cleanser stung like a ***** in my eyes. I mean I really thought this product was gentle and calming. It is not. Be prepared to shut your eyes completely until this product is completely washed away. However, I find that this product is a very good hydrating cleanser. Its the dead of winter and my face does not ache or feel dry at all. I do not recommend this for oily skin at all. I dont think this product will contain oily skin. As far as quenching, this product works. I need to give it more time to see if it does anything for my complexion.

Although i think this product is fantastic, it does everything a foam cleanser in my opinion should.
Removes every bit of dirt off your face leaving it literally squeaky clean and you only need a tiny pea size amount of it to do your whole face and neck area so it will definitely last long which is great considering its on the higher end of the price bracket.... HOWEVER, in saying all that i have combination skin and a oily t zone area and feel like this cleanser is a little too heavy for that type of skin, by mid day my face ends up way too oily and even when i wake up in the mornings. I would recommend this to people with dryer skin types so im going to hand my la prarier products over to my Mum who would benefit more from them and try something else.

Love it! My skin feels good and looks amazing. Works so well. I am so convinced by this product that I don't think I will ever use another cleanser! It is expensive but more or less the same price as EL cleanser. I use it a few times in a day. I don't use any other face wash. I have been using this for almost two months now. Just a little bit on the palm and it becomes foamy so you use a very small amount every time you wash your face. I think it is worth it for that price. I have used other good brand cleansers before and they might be around $20 cheaper than this one but this definitely lasts way longer and feels amazing. It works well for me is all I can say!!!

I usually associate foam cleansers as being for dry skin types. My skin is combination and using this the first few days was pretty good, gave my skin a squeeky clean feeling. After about a week, by lunch time, my face was looking like an oil slick! I also prefer to use face cleansers that can be used on both face and eyes-I tried to use this on my eye makeup and it really hurt. I can think of lots of high quality products that do a good job for half the price. A lot of money for a just okay product.

Having used a few la prairie products previously I decided to take the plunge and buy this on 19th February at Terminal 5 Heathrow. It's just a shame I didn't get any free samples with it!

I have previously tried all sorts of cleansers - everything under the sun from Clarins melting gel, foaming cleanser, elemis cleansers, Bobbi Brown foaming cleanser, Clinique soap....basically you name it and I've probably tried it.

This was by far the best! The packaging is very distinctive and easy to spot in my make up kit. There's something very regal about it and classic too. A white tube with a silver lid and silver writing.

The cleanser itself is highly concentrated so you only need a small amount for it to work its magic! It really makes your skin feel fresh and clean. The smell is typical of a soap but the product doesn't dry your skin like a soap would! It foams up so well and it is THE best foaming cleanser ever. Fact.

I always push the tube from the top to the bottom so the product comes out evenly and it's a good indicator of how much you've got left too. I always follow this with a toner/clinique exfoliating lotion. My only criticism of the tube is that the silver lid comes off fully so you have to be careful and it can be hassle to get it back on again - but that's a small thing which doesn't really matter.

I've been using this everyday since 19th Feb - so that's almost 3 months and I think there is still 80% of it left! It really is fantastic and if you can look past the price tag then this is a worthwhile cleanser. It's worth every penny as it lasts so long and you'll really see the difference with it.

Its a very nice cleanser.. I happen to find it very soap like though.. leaving my skin SQUEAKY CLEAN.. I don't really like that. I recc Shisiedo Benifiene Cream Cleaser.. does the same if not better and is a 3rd the price. :)

Well, I have been a bit haphazard about my skincare the last 3 months, and my skin has noticed. It has been mostly clear because of all of the Bikram Yoga; however, my skin tone has suffered, and my face has more redness after I wash it. I bought this a week after I decided to switch back to the La Prairie foundation. So far, I like this cleanser. You need less than a pea size of this stuff, and it lathers enough to clean your whole face. I think it will last for at least 6 months, possibly 9 months at this rate. That comes out cheaper than Cosmedix cleanser if it does last over 6 months. It doesn't irritate my eyes. It does a reasonable job on eye makeup/mascara, but it doesn't get off all of the mascara if it is caked on. My face doesn't feel dry afterward. It actually feels fairly soft. I used this on its own for about 4 days without following up with any products, and then for the next 3 days, I followed up with Jan Marini Transformation Cream moisturizer (which I have used without problem off and on for 3 or 4 years). I don't think this combo works for me because I did get cystic with about 4 or 5 cysts on one side of my face. I called the saleslady, and she said that I need the anti-stress cream to calm my skin down. I am not sure if the cleanser is the problem or if the combo of the cleanser and the moisturizer is the problem -- or even the new foundation. I'm still giving the cleanser 5 stars because it does do a good job of cleansing. I would say this is good for dryer skin. This might feel like it leaves a residue for folks with really oily skin.
UPDATE: I returned all of the LP products I bought because I kept getting little pimples. When I talked to the SA, she said that I should keep them for a couple of weeks because her skin breaks out with new products. I started getting cystic acne around my chin areas, and back they products went.
