Moisturizers -Josie Maran Cosmetics -Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 47 with Sunboost ATB

on 4/25/2018 4:14:00 PM

The only daytime moisturizer I'll ever use again (until they discontinue it of course.) Any time I stray from this I regret it. For me this product is a moisturizer, SPF, & primer all in one. I LOVE the apricot scent, the fact that it has SPF 47, & that it's moisturizing enough for my "normal" skin type. Two pumps is all you need, then let it sink in for about 30 seconds & you're ready to apply makeup. I've never had a problem with the packaging & I enjoy the simplicity of the label. Have repurchased many times & will continue to do so. I can't get enough!

Liquid -Josie Maran Cosmetics -Vibrancy Argan Oil Foundation Fluid

It’s a good foundation if you don’t want a lot of coverage and it definitely moisturize dry skin so that’s a plus. But the staying power of that foundation is honeslty awful. You could apply it, turn your back to grab your mascara and bam there’s nothing on your face left. The reason why I gave it 3 stars is because I mixed it with a little bit of the dermacol foundation and it stayed well and added coverage. But on its own I have a lot of trouble to keep it in place during the whole day.

Sunscreen -Josie Maran Cosmetics -Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 47 Protect and Perfect Tinted Warm Glow

I hadn’t used this in years but recently returned to it when the Josie Maran website was running a “buy one, get one free” offer on the jumbo size of this product. As I get older (I’m 41), my skin is getting drier. This provides great sun protection and just enough moisture. I’m NW20 and don’t find the tint to be too dark or orange. It just adds a slight warmth to my skin but doesn’t look like makeup. I’m glad I bought this again because I forgot how great this product is.

This is an every morning and night staple in my cleansing regimen. It just soaks up into my skin and feels luxurious! I buy it at QVC as I believe the value is better. F/U with Argan oil patted into the skin. I wake up with amazing skin! :)

Scrubs -Josie Maran Cosmetics -Argan Exfoliating Cleansing Powder

on 4/5/2018 2:48:00 AM

I have been on a hunt for a good exfoliator since my teen years. I developed sensitive, combination, acne-prone skin during those years and my condition has not changed. Back then, I used to be able to use Neutrogena's and other affordable drugstore exfoliators, but I can't use them anymore.

I've moved towards higher end products and after many years of continuous searching, I've found a gentle exfoliator that works for me. Everyone's skin is different, but if you have sensitive skin that tends to be on the drier end (i.e. peeling skin or patches), this might work for you. I am able to use this every other day and it makes my face so smooth. Also eases foundation application because my face isn't as rough (I have dry patches due to my skin condition).

I don't use it with water -- I actually use it in conjunction with Josie Maran's cleansing oil. I don't need to dispense that much and there's enough for the whole face. The powder doesn't go everywhere and it stays where the oil pools on the center of my palm. I then proceed to rub it between my palms and transfer it to my face. I would have never thought bits 'n pieces of argan shell would work, but it does what it's supposed to do.

Some people have reported that it made their face red. Personally, my face is red often because I'm sensitive and flush easily. I also have slight rosacea, eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, and adult acne. I only rubbed the powder very lightly against my skin and it didn't make it worse.
I'm also guessing another reason why it doesn't irritate is because the scrub is very fine and gentle. Also doesn't dry your face as badly as other scrubs. (Again, your mileage may vary.)

Unfortunately, this product is insanely expensive for my bank but I haven't been able to find anything better and cheaper. I'll be using this for now and it's worth it since my skin's finicky.

I'm surprised at the low amount of reviews, maybe because it's not popular and overshadowed by other products such as Tatcha's Rice Enzyme powder (which I've tried few years ago and didn't do much for me, but I might have to revisit as my skin has changed).

Thought I'd contribute a review and hope that someone might find this useful. Do try a sample from Sephora if you can before purchasing.
