Powder -Everyday Minerals -Matte Foundation

on 10/11/2018 7:06:00 PM

overall: 6/10

This is a nice setting powder, but it doesn't have enough coverage for me to want to use it as a standalone foundation. I have the shade Rosy Ivory which works well for my NW15 skin tone. This powder is well-priced which is good, but the packaging is not the best. I find it difficult to get product out of the sifter without screwing the lid on and shaking it vigorously.

I have other powders I like more, like the Maybelline Shine-Free Loose Powder, which is cheaper and easier to obtain, so I wouldn't repurchase.

Powder -Everyday Minerals -Semi-Matte Foundation

I really can't believe this foundation has such great reviews. When I got this foundation I immediately thought it would be too dark on me even though I bought the lightest shade. That didn't turn out to be a problem though since it has about as much coverage as translucent powder. I have used powder foundation for many years now so I know it's limited how high the coverage can be, but why would you even use something that doesn't even cover redness and especially when it's a powder. I have no idea what I'm gonna do with the rest of this powder as I can't even use it as a setting powder since it's so dark.

Concealers -Everyday Minerals -Sunlight Color Corrector

This was an impulse buy from iHerb. Didn't expect much from it but was pleasantly surprised.

First off, for some context, I'm Chinese with dehydrated oily skin living in the tropics and have some redness around the tip of my nose and the chin area under my lower lip. This yellow powder is a colour-corrector, not a concealer, and it does an amazing job correcting the reddened areas to match my skin colour. Incidentally, it also helps to brighten up these reddened and dulled areas too.

I use a damp micro Beautyblender to stipple and blend the powder onto my bare skin prepped with my super-barrier. After waiting a few seconds for it to set, I then apply my EM Base (matte) with the normal-sized Beautyblender. Can't even tell I'm wearing colour-corrector. With this, I don't even have to use a concealer.

One last thing, it doesn't work on dark eye circles and brownish acne scars. Probably because those are different colours.

Powder -Everyday Minerals -Jojoba Base

I've been using Everyday Minerals for many years. It's the first foundation I've found that doesn't break out my problem areas (chin/lower cheek area). It provides light to moderate coverage that you can build up. I don't prefer the finish of mineral makeup to liquid makeup (Maybelline FitME makes my skin look SO dewy and luscious!), but I do like how it keeps my skin looking clear!

Loose Powders -Everyday Minerals -Finishing Dust

oxidizes veryyy quickly. I tried to bake my under eyes with this after applying concealer and my under eyes turned darker than my actual foundation. makes the sides of my nose look really gross and makes foundation crack. definitely don't recommend.
