Cool Mint Lemonade Salt Scrub
4.0
Created with Sketch.

A fantastically refreshing scrub with medium sized sea salt granules that work well for my back and other body areas. I love the smell of this, it's like a minty lemonade or mojito, aswell as the cooling sensation, probably due to the Spearmint and Peppermint extracts. Yes it's slightly pricey for a scrub but I like the ingredients (organic and plenty of essential oils) so don't mind spending $14 USD on it. The only thing I don't like is the oily film it leaves behind on my skin - which it is bound to with Safflower Oil being the 2nd ingredient. A lighter oil such as Jojoba would rinse off much better imo but that would probably bump the product cost up a lot! I towel dry once I've used this and rinsed it off as best as I can, but find I have to change my towel more often due to the amount of oil it soaks up. Anyone with super-dry skin would probably find their skin drinks it up, to a good extent, but mine is far from dry! Other than this one issue I do love everything else about this scrub and would likely re-purchase. Selena x ~ My HG list ~ (As I've sampled 100s of skin, hair and m/u products over the last decade and a half, I thought it might be useful to share my top 10 must-have products, subject to change if and when I come across something more effective. I love constantly trying out new stuff - usually sample sizes via e-bay, also plenty courtesy of a friend who works at Sephora) 1. Hair Loss Treatment: ‘Divine Herbal’ - Hair Oil 2. Lip Balm: 'Nuxe' - Reve De Miel Lip Balm 3. Pigmentation + Anti-Ageing Treatment: ‘Divine Herbal’ - Facial Treatment Serum 4. Cleanser: 'Paula's Choice' - Skin Balancing Cleanser 5. Concealer: ‘Mac’ - Studio Finish Concealer 6. Lash Growth Serum: ‘Divine Herbal’ - Divinelash 7. Foundation/SPF: ‘Juice Beauty’ - Stem Cellular Repair (warm glow) 8. Face Scrub: ‘Sisley' - Botanical Gentle Buffing Cream 9. Moisturizer: ‘Lush' - Enzymion 10. Hand Cream: 'Origins' - Make A Difference Rejuvenating Hand Treatment

Triple Treat Tea Tree Invigorating Conditioner

I really like the Triple Treat Shampoo and use in conjunction with the conditioner. Just like the shampoo it's also very peppermint-y smelling and big on natural ingredients. Leaves my hair shiny and manageable, and also lightly moisturized, whilst somehow keeping oil at bay long enough for me to not have to shampoo daily (I can get away with 2-3 times per week using this and the shampoo). The texture might seem a bit heavy but once applied it does its thing and then rinses out easily enough, speaking of which I tend to apply from the mid lengths of my hair through to the ends for about 5 minutes before rinsing out with lukewarm water. Any longer than that doesn't seem to work as well for me, for some reason.    Selena x ~ My HG list ~ (As I've sampled 100s of skin, hair and m/u products over the last decade and a half, I thought it might be useful to share my top 10 must-have products, subject to change if and when I come across something more effective. Tea Tree Triple Treat Invigorating Shampoo

For a sulfate/SLS-free shampoo this actually cleanses my thick, oily roots hair surprisingly well. I use it 2 or 3 times a week along with the conditioner. Gives a nice menthol-tingle as I leave it on for about a couple of minutes, and the Tea Tree oil in here is at a low enough percentage not to irritate but actually soothe my mild psoriasis. I do find it slightly dries out my ends, but as soon as I've rinsed it out, I follow with the conditioner and all is well. A good clarifying shampoo at a very reasonable price (I picked it up for just under $7) and perfect for summer when there's nothing better than cooling your head down after a long, hot day.    Selena x ~ My HG list ~ (As I've sampled 100s of skin, hair and m/u products over the last decade and a half, I thought it might be useful to share my top 10 must-have products, subject to change if and when I come across something more effective.
