I decided to try this foundation at a local Merle Norman location after reading the great reviews here. I like that it is a powder foundation with medium coverage, but can be built to full coverage if needed. I like to apply it with a Kabuki brush over Merle Norman's CC Cream. My 19 year old daughter tried my MN Ultra Powder Foundation and has also become a devotee. Even she agrees that the $30 price tag is not bad at all, considering the quality of the product and how long it lasts. We both like that it does not oxidize / turn orange-y like some other foundations can do. The only downside to this product that I can see is that it IS really matte/flat, and when you are pushing 50 as I am, that is not always a good thing! I find that I need to use highlighter / luminizer to "liven up" my complexion.

This is my holy grail foundation! I've always used Merle Norman foundation, but I found this about 2 years ago and I haven't found anything that compares. This is the only matte foundation I've found that doesn't accentuate every single tiny bump on my face. It smooths right over it and dries down matte relatively quickly. I wear this anywhere from 5 to 12 hours normally it truly stays on all day. The only thing is the price. I pay $30 for this foundation when I'm in my home town and when I was off at school and ran out, I went to the Merle Norman in that town. They charged me $47. So definitely be careful with the price. It's $30 good but there are very few foundations worth $47.

This lipstick feels like a glossy, but pigmented, balm on my lips. It's very hydrating and doesn't feel heavy/goopy. Because of its light weight, you can expect color, but not complete opaqueness. The black tube packaging feels heavier and more substantial than say Bobbi Brown, LM, and Chanel. I have this in the shade Blackberry, which looks like a berry rose on my lips.

Well this is wonderful stuff for those with Rosacea...I had tried this before, about 10 years ago, and wasn't crazy about it, but liked it because its main ingredient is zinc, which is a sunscreen and healing to the skin. Application was my problem, wished I had known that then, but glad I gave it another chance. I use a sponge wedge and apply by gently dabbing it on small areas of my face, starting in the center. I do not rub, only use a dabbing motion and blend this way. This makes your foundation smooth and even looking and doesn't irritate sensitive skin.It covers well and hides redness well. Ivory shade has a yellow tone, so is good for hiding any redness you may have. I don't use a finishing powder, I just blot with a tissue and works great...This also helps keep your face moist and soft. I remove with Jergens Face Cream (another oldie I used in my teens) I found at Wal Mart. My skin is loving it and I am paying much less than I paid for my previous cosmetics...UPDATE: Still loving this foundation, great for dry skin...

I love this product! This is my first foray into the cold cream products, and I just love how it takes away all makeup with ease. I will say that if I am going to my 6 AM HIIT class, I do not use this the night before. This is so thick that I can feel it moisturizing my face the next day!! And it does not allow your face to sweat through it. I also have only been using this in the winter. It would be way too thick for my liking in the summer. Overall, I like the texture, smell, and the way it removes all makeup. Give it a shot!
