I have combo skin, acne prone. I used this product (1.7oz) with the Genifique Youth Activating serum. This product felt really quite heavy on my skin. The moisturiser would not feel like it all absorbed, but basically sit on top of the skin. Pores remained the same. I have extremely fine lines so I can't comment.Maybe my skin is too young? Maybe it is too oily and this is targeted at dry skin? Not sure. But I wouldn't recommend this to other combo skinned ladies.

I received this as a deluxe travel sample of 0.5 oz as a GWP with a Lancome eye cream. It was in a pretty pink jar, which is the primary packaging problem. When you are packaging a cream, why would you put it in a jar without some method to scoop out the bottom? I can foresee a problem when I get to the bottom and my finger won't be able to get to the bottom. The first time I used this cream, I was having a weird after-sun effect on my face, where my combo skin was particularly dry in the cheek area. Unsure how this developed because I always pack on the SPF and hyaluronic acid in my moisturizer, but it got to the point where my cheeks were stinging and peeling from dryness in the middle of the day and at night. I normally don't use a night cream, just HA serum, at night, but I felt this dryness warranted a night cream. I used a dot of cream each on my cheeks and that was enough to spread and cover my face. It felt smooth going on, but 10 minutes later I touched my face and little bits of moisturizer had dried and were flaking off. It was gross! As I was investigating my face, I must have touched my eyes and got some cream in it, because my eyes started tearing up. Finally after 20 minutes I gave up and used a toner to wipe it all off. I tried again on the next night but used even less and avoided a wide area around my eyes. As long as I didn't touch my face again, nothing flaked off. I assume the cream was too hardcore for my dry face to absorb fully - though my cheeks were fully scaly and peeling and stinging from dryness! - or maybe my skin isn't mature enough for it (I'm in my mid-30s with few if any wrinkles). I will put this away until the winter months when the heat is blasting and see if it works better. But right now, I am very discouraged and would not recommend, especially considering the crazy retail price. I have been using my Skinfood royal honey massage gel as a night cream instead and that has been helping with the dryness - and only cost US$11!

I am in love with this night cream! I was scared to use it at first as my skin is extremely sensitive and some of the products from this line do irritate my skin. I received a deluxe sample of this in a GWP and it is amazing! I'm in my 30's so I just use a dab of it (since it's so pricey!) and I do notice my skin looking so plump. Strangers have commented saying that my skin is so nice, beautiful, perfect... etc. I was shocked! I had only been using it for a short while and I do layer my moisturizers (over ANR and Swiss Performing Extract by EL) so to be fair I'm sure it's a combination of all these products. However it was not until I added the Absolue night cream that I have received such compliments - I think it just makes my skin glow! Pricey - super duper. Worth it? Every single cent, no doubt. I'm a believer now!I like to concentrate this around the "problem" areas or areas that get the most stress - like between my brows, under my eyes (no irritation!), around my mouth (laugh line area). Then I just feather the product out onto the rest of my skin. That's how I make this last! It's so rich so I use very sparingly. If you can't afford to purchase it, just wait for the GWP like I do:) Also, I CANNOT use the day version of Absolue - something in that formula irritates and burns my skin! I can only use the night version.

I'm surprised Lancome include denatured alcohol so high on the ingredients list for all the products in this line - surely this is counterproductive in an anti aging line as it severely dries out the skin. Anyway, I received the serum and substantial pots of the day and night cream as a GWP. I'm not impressed. The night cream doesn't moisturise at all. I have noticed a bit more radiance, but it's not worth having bone-dry skin. I'm looking for a quality, rich anti aging cream. I normally use Lancome Nutrix (the classic one!) which is much more moisturising and soothing than this, not to mention a lot cheaper, so I'll go back to that at night.

I got a good-sized sample of this product, .5 oz., but I just cannot fall in love with it. I do not really like the smell and I am not that impressed with the results of this cream. It seems to be very mediocre for the price. it moisturizes okay, but so do many other cheaper products. Actually, I think a lot of Lancome's products are overrated and ineffective. Three stars maximum for this product.

I was given a jar of this and have been using it nightly for a month now. I am not impressed considering the price. My skin is combination/oily and this does almost nothing to moisturize, and I cannot tolerate the scent of roses. An hour after it's on, my skin feels as if nothing has been applied. I much prefer Merle Norman Nighttime Recovery cream and will return to that.

I received this in a gwp some time ago. I don't think I will purchase the full size product. It has a somewhat strong scent of roses which I actually really like and it absorbs into my skin really easily. It does add the needed moisture when I apply it to my skin but as soon as I wash my face in the morning my skin is back to being dry again so I feel like it is almost a short term fix...maybe I need to use this for more than a month to see lasting results or use this during the summer. I don't think this really did anything for a couple of fine lines I am starting to develop either.

I have been using Lancome since I was 16, back in 72'. My favorite for ever is Tonique Douceur, a skin toner with the scent of roses, just beautiful! I still use it to this day everyday. The face creams have come and gone with new formulas and now I use all the Absolue products. The eye cream is excellent, i am addicted to this product (i also like the progress eye cream for winter as a night time eye cream). The day and night Absolue creams are the best ever for the money...along with good facials (at home or salons) and the use of these creams, your face will glow with health (facials are extremely important for any creams to work properly!!!)...as far as colors, i'm open to just about any product....but all of my cleansers--face and body--has to be Lancome...I have yet to find a scent more intoxicating than the Hydrative line. The shower gel and body scrub are divine, and with just a little dab of the hydrative body lotion in the right places, you have an all day scent that is like heaven, I always get compliments. (i use Cural for all over my body, its the best for intense moisture and relief). I would like to try other face creams, but I just don't have the time.

Skin: Dry, Fair, Not Sure
I have dry skin that is super dry in the winter. If I do not stay up on my microdermabrasions monthly and use my AHA's I am sure to break out. A friend gave me her jar of this way over priced (IMO) Lancome product. Now, I love Lancomes's make-up and I have heard amazing things about their new anti-aging serum line that just hit stores. But this product is NOT a miracle product it does not deliver on it's promises in reducing fine lines and wrinkles. It's a great moisturizer, but because I used it in the winter months, I broke out because it contains a fragrance which some people may love, because it actually does smell amazing. But this was over priced and did not deliver the goods on wrinkle reduction, I now use it on my neck and hands.
