After just one day of using this foundation, I will be returning it back to the store. By the end of the workday, it had started to crease/separate around my chin/mouth area (did use a primer), and the overall look of the foundation on my skin was just that; it looked like a white mask just sitting over my skin, but emphasizing my pores. I'm not sure if part of this is from the horrible shade selections they have for this foundation (i was mixing 101 with 103 to get a decent NC15-20 shade) but when I looked in the mirror, it was like the paler shade started to come out at the end of the day and it looked like I was just wearing a really pale blotchy powder/foundation on my face. Just gross. It is lightweight and controls oil, I will give it that, but that's it.

My HG oily skin foundation is Covergirls Outlast - and I'm wearing it today - and it's a 180 degree comparison to L'Oreal's Pro-Matte on my face compared to yesterday. I though the two might be similar, but on my skin, they are NOT. I do think it has something to do with the Pro-Matte being silica-based, and Outlast is talc based. I think silica just doesn't wear well/look well on my skin/emphasizes pores/creates shine/gathers in lines - or something. Either way - Outlast is so much better than this foundation. Creamier, more coverage, blends out better because consistency is creamy, cheaper, has a pump, better color jumps in shades, and even mixing two shades in Outlast to get my color, looks so much more natural on my skin than Pro-matte did. This was a big miss for me. Will stick to Covergirl's Outlast!

Edit 7/14/18 I have had issues with this caking up, even when used sparingly. I found an easy solution to this though thanks to Wayne Goss, which is to mix 2 drops of facial oil into it before applying to my face. Also works for dry skin, which I sometimes have. This is still one of the best foundations I've ever tried. I wasn't expecting to like this as much as I do, being that my skin is combo leaning dry, however this is the best drugstore foundation that I've used in years! I do like L'Oréal Visible Lift serum fdn, but it tends to slip off my nose throughout the day and transfers, even with setting powder and spray. Worn with well moisturized skin and my NYX Angel Veil primer, this fdn lasts all day long! Doesn't budge, transfer, crease, crack, or breakdown. Idk if it truly wears for 24 hours, but I can confirm that it lasts for 16. I took a 2 hour nap in this stuff and it still looked perfect, and I'm a stomach sleeper! I like that this doesn't knock you out with an alcohol scent like the infallible pro-glow does. The shade Classic Ivory is a good match for my cool skin, not perfect though. It is just the tiniest bit on the yellow side, but I don't knock points off for that because it helps correct the pinkish tones that I have across my nose and cheeks. Will continue to use this, highly recommend.

L'Oréal pro-matte foundation is one of my favorite matte drugstore foundations. It's easy to achieve a nice flawless finish with this foundation. It's not heavy but it is pigmented. I've found that the L'Oréal foundations can be a bit tricky to match. I'm 104 in this foundation and an NC 25-30 for MAC. Usually these foundations run too yellow or too pink for my liking but mixing or experimenting will help.

I have combination skin & more easily to get oily but i used this and the PRO MATTE formula is work for me for hours! & importantly, this is not cakey AT ALL. although they said it would stay all day, i think the matte formula only stay for 12 hours maxxx for me. But it's enough for me because the price was worth too.

This actually isn't half bad. I remember randomly buying it last year but can't remember really using it a lot. I've been trying to use up all the foundations I have and don't like that much so I can buy/try new ones and this one fell in that category. I remember trying this a month ago and was so disgusted by how yellow it looked on me. I have it in "fresh beige". I grabbed it last week because I was like alright it was $13 you can't just throw it away. I think I shook it up as it was fine. Maybe it separated a little just sitting in my cabinet not being used. It's between thick and thin and I like applying it with my RT sponge. Coverage is nice. No weird smell. Lasts. Says Demi matte finish but I set mine with powder so it's matte for me. I honestly like it and am not sure why I shunned it. I think for some reason the squeeze tube made me think it was cheap and not good, even though that's extremely weird. But all of my foundations besides this and one other are in bottles so I guess I'm just drawn to that more. I'm not going to repurchase right as soon as I finish this because like I said, I want to try new ones but I'm not opposed to buying this again in the future.

The packaging is ugly, sorry.
The coverage is a little more than medium, I guess, because I don't have scar or skin problems.
This does not gives me a natural look, I look l am wearing foundation, but it stays at its place.
The price is ok, but I think the result is not worth the price, I can find a cheaper alternative.

This might be my HG drugstore foundation. For some reason when it first came out I was skeptical and avoided it. I think I was wary of the hype as I've tried many products that YTers recommend that weren't all that great.

I finally got it last year and am now getting around to a review. I have combo dry skin that I hydrate before makeup so it's almost dewy. This doesn't sink into my pores and look crusty or anything. It leaves a nice satin matte finish and lasts for a decent workday. The shade match 108 is perfect. I can get a nice medium to full coverage but then again I don't have much to cover. Oddly I find it comparable to UD all nighter but it might not be as long lasting.

I like to apply it with a flat top or buffer brush to get more coverage.

I recently got the Smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Hydrating Foundation and wanted a cheaper alternative to wear on other days. To my surprise this foundation makes me not even care about the higher end one I just bought! At first I never thought to try this because the foundation in store would always separate and an oily, watery residue would come out of the tube instead of the actual pigment. I decided to suck it up, find my shade and hope that by shaking the bottle after each use I wouldn't have this problem anymore. Low and behold I don't have this issue! I got the shade Natrual Buff which matches my in between skin tone perfectly which is so rare at the drugstore. Going on with a dry sponge or brush the application is very smooth. It never dries down too quickly resulting in a cakey appearance. I have pretty smooth skin with mild texture around my cheeks where my pores or normally enormous and this looks flawless on top. My skin is very greasy but with this I can get by with a few hours of matte wear before needing to touch up and even then it's not very shiny at all. Two thumbs up for L'oreal.

I think I might have found my HG drugstore foundation. And let me just say that isn't an easy task, being that j have very yellow undertone Asian skin (NC30-35) and pretty much all drugstore foundations are either too pink or too orange for me. I bought shade 105 Natural Beige.

So glad I tried this - let me list the pros and cons:

Pros:
- Amazing medium to full coverage. It covered my hyper pigmentation with ease but doesn't make my face look cakey. With this foundation I can easily skip concealer.

- Price: reasonable comparing with Sephora brands but it is still up there comparing with other drugstore brands. I would only buy this on sale.

- Shade selection is amazing. For a yellow toned gal I truly appreciate the yellow toned choices I have.

- Packaging is light and I appreciate the squeeze tube for hygiene reasons.

- Texture is light and does not clog my pores

Cons: If you have dry skin you might find it emphasizing your fine lines but not for a combo/oily gal like me!

I will still continue to search for other foundations but I'm happy I found this gem. Definitely will repurchase.

I would have never purchased this foundation had it not come to my attention from a beauty youtuber who wore the same color foundation in several different lines as me. She wore shade golden Beige 104 and that's the shade I purchased the next day from target. I applied it with my Kat Von D foundation brush and mixed a little bit of LA Girl Hd coverup in green because it's a smidgen too pinkish for me I finished off blending with my beauty blender in the hairline etc and corner of eyes and nose. After that I set with my RMS Loose powder in Shade 3. I was really surprised I liked this and it photographed very nicely in camera phone day light. I am more concerned about the color match more then anything else. Because I am biracial and I have more then one under tone to my complexion finding a shade that fits nicely that isn't to red, too pink, too olive, too dark, too green etc, too yellow. I have a mixture of a little bit of warmth and a medium deep golden skin tone. I was skeptical to think this would match my skin tone because it appeared light upon initial application with my Kat Von D brush, but after adding a little green to the foundation and after final blending with my beauty blender it appeared very nice. It does oxidize a little bit, the you tube review had mentioned so I anticipated this , hence why I am able to wear shade 104 Golden Beige. Had I not know this I would have probably purchased a shade several shades darker and then left with a disappointing orange tan mess.As for as how long it last, it advertises that it last for 24 hours I have never worn a foundation that long so I cannot speak to that, but in a muggy, humid 80% humiditiy Colorado summer day it held up quite well doing errands and taking my dogs to the dog park, I love these squeeze containers because they are so easy to travel with and if I loose it I will not be upset as it is easy to purchase and find. I think this would be a great foundation to take if I was traveling somewhere a little humid and perhaps someplace as a tourist where theft might happen, take for example backpacking through Thailand, etc or just going to the beach for the weekend it won't leak or crack because of the little plastic squeeze tube and as I said before if I loose it , it retails for about 10.00 US and for the coverage it photographs nicely and I can see using this for a night out foundation as well. I have combo dry skin and I always set with a powder or Mally Face Defender, just of out habit and I don't like a shiny T-zone. I wear the following shades in other brands: Maybelline Fit Me Smooth and Dewy Shade 220 foundation, Nars all day Luminous in Stromboli, Giorgrio Armani Luminous Silk, shade 6.0 mixed with a drop of 5.75, Bobbi Brown Foundation stick in shade 4.0 with 4.75 on my Forehead (my forehead is quite a bit darker then the rest of my face naturally so I do this sometimes to warm up my forehead and prevent it from looking ashy) and Charlotte Tilsbury Magic Foundation in shade 7.0, Mac foundation Nc40-42ish Cover fx drops in G50.
