I have a vintage miniature of Givenchy Gentlemen with golden toned liquid, not the blue toned liquid GGO released in 2013 that is a citric wood.

The vintage GG (1974 by Paul Leger) is a golden liquid honeyed rose patchouli oriental chypre / aromatic woods, not sharp, with traces of cinnamon (to round it out), musk, Amber and woods. There is a high note reminiscent of oud or lemony frankincense or citrus weaving throughout. It is somewhat classic, but niche houses like Amouage, Andy Tauer etc., are bringing this style back. In fact the citric Amber quality of this reminds me of andy Tauers base. Not Sahara desert powdery despite the orris and Amber.

As per Fragrantica, top notes are honey, cinnamon, bergamot, rose, lemon and tarragon; middle notes are patchouli, orris root, jasmine and cedar; base notes are leather, amber, patchouli, musk, oakmoss, vanilla, vetiver and civet. It's chock full of stuff that is currently restricted by the IFRA. IMO this is unisex. Precursor to Antaeus and Kouros.

Vintage name is Givenchy Gentleman EdT.

Whoa, this stuff is pungent. My eyes water and I start sneezing. This smells a lot like the men's deodorant aisle but not in a good way. Even the bottle reminds me of Aqua Velva.
