Toners -Jurlique -Rosewater Balancing Mist

Jurlique is a brand that has captured my attention many times, for one reason alone: the ingredients. Very few brands utilize as many botanicals in their products as they do. Having said that though, most products I've used from the range have failed to win me over. Most just seem adequate at what they do and this one is no exception. I didn't notice any hydrating effect and if anything my skin felt slightly itchy after spraying this on - despite only 2 spritzes of it on an evening and without makeup on. This could have possibly been down to the high alcohol content. I do find the fragrance (even though it's derived purely from roses) to be strong although it does dissipate quite quickly which was a relief. I've since donated my bottle to my mum as she has been wanting to try this out for some time too.

My suggestion: Grab yourself a bottle of actual 100% rosewater which you can pick up at ethnic food stores, costs just a fraction of this and calms/soothes and tones the skin much more effectively.

Treatments (Face) -Jurlique -Purely Age-Defying Firming And Tightening Serum

This is a great serum. I use both this one and the more expensive Jurlique Nutri-Define serum.

This fixes my skin's dry, flaky problem using a couple of pumps after cleansing. It smells good and goes on easily. It's not an oil, but rather a heavier lotion texture.

This serum doesn't irritate my sensitive skin or cause me to break out.

I love this serum! My skin can tend to be dry and flaky regardless how much I moisturize or exfoliate but when I use this serum or the Jurlique Purely Age-Defying Firming And Tightening Serum my skin no longer looks dry, in fact sometimes I skip moisturizer and just use my sunscreen in the morning. I use 2 pumps of it after cleansing and the bottle lasts a long time.

This serum doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, or cause me to break out which has been a problem for me with other facial serums.

Skincare - Body -Jurlique -ROSE hand/body lotion

This lotion is really runny and watery. Honestly, it left me wondering if my skin would really be moisturised cuz it absorbed so quickly, and I’m used to richer moisturisers like body butters from TBS. Well, I was so Glad that my skin loves this, I genuinely feel the difference when I apply this lotion before bed, i wake up, shower, and my skin is soooo much smoother and bouncier. Also, I don’t have to wait for it to dry or get absorbed into my skin, a time saver for a lazy me, hurrying to get to bed. With thicker body moisturisers, I kinda have to rub it in and wait for skin to suck it up.

Took one lippie off as the price is rather high. Wish it was cheaper...

Skincare - Face -Jurlique -Chamomile Rose Aromatic Hydrating Concentrate

Now that I'm 60, my skin is a lot less temperamental than when the hormones were reeking havoc. I have always had normal to dry skin, and I dont use much foundation, so I dont really need a powerful cleanser for removing makeup. When I do "paint my face", I use Pond's cold cream. For most days, though, I like Using 4 drops of this in a bowl of warm water, swished with a washcloth, and compressing to face/neck- per directions on the bottle. That's it! I dont use this as a "pre-treatment" for even more cleansing. I credit this stuff for keeping my skin at the "normal" range, with no stripping- some days I dont even need to use a moisturizer, my skin feels so good.
I'm not a huge fan of the smell of chamomile, so the fragrance is not my favorite, but its not horrible either. Jurlique's rose scent is very nice, and I love their products- so I would love to see just a rose AHC.
