Nc20 c1 y225 20beige pros - Weightless/ super airy and lightweight, Very opaque, Beautiful range of colors, Long lasting , Dont need a lipliner because diamond shaped tip, magnetic closure, Cons- The tube/packaging is huge&bulky, Smells like coconuts (not overpowering) Can be drying and uncomfortable Not a lot of product Expensive Interview - this is a dupe for Mac Velvet Teddy, which was my hg lippie but its really drying so I was on a hunt for something similar. I've tried Very Victoria but hated how fast that one fades and dissapears into thin air. Interview is a gorgeous mid tone brick peachy brown nude. Its classic and would look good on everybody. Its neutral enough not to pull orange and isn't so pink that its too cool. Lovely everyday color for the office or a lunch date. this shade withstand a bowl of pho noodle soup and some eggrolls wrapped in lettus. I checked the mirror after my meal thinking no way there would be any lipstick left. It was still intact and not patchy at all. My favorite way to wear this is apply only a thin layer and blend my lips together for a soft wash of color. When heavily applied, I find this color to be a bit too dark for me. Graduation day - this is similar to Mac Whirl but less dry and more smooth on the lips. It is a muted mid to deep plummy brown nude, this color makes my teeth look super white. It is described as warm toned but not on me. It is a daytime "vampy" color. Its super opaque and looks a lot more uniformed and neat on the lips than Whirl. This is very 90s and my pick for going out or night out lipstick. This shade got a bit patchy after dinner and i had to reapply. Also this one can be a bit ashy/grey cast in certain lightings on my fair neutral Asian skintone so I dont reach for it as much as Interview. I love the formula and would love to try more colors. Wedding Day - This one is my favorite out of the 3. I much prefer this for going out day or night than Grad Day. Its a rosy mauve nude but does not lean purple or too cool. Its quite neutral and super flattering. Id say its a shade between Graduation Day and Interview. It isnt as dark/cool/ brown as Grad Day and it isnt as light/warm/peachy as Interview. The name Wedding Day is perfect for this shade because i can see myself wearing this on my big day. I dislike anything red or too over the top/dark on my lips because i am quite pale. This shade is right up my alley because it is a mid tone but still leaning towards the darker spectrum of nude but also with the rosy tone to it to brighten it up instead of looking ashy like Grad Day. I ate dim sum oily chicken and lots of greasy food and this stayed on so well with minmal fading. Even if this does fade, it does it very gracefully I can't get over how drying this can be when layered too much. It feels heavy as you layer and I have very dry lips and this just didn't cut it for me. Not a must have, won't repurchase but it is lovely colors.

Lip Contour Matte Pencil

A good lip liner that's richly pigmented, glides on smoothly and is long-wearing. No transfer and no bleeding. I have these in both 'Icon' and Bombshell'... BUT I've had major issues sharpening the 'Icon' pencil, having tried 3 different sharpeners and still the same issue: the wooden part does not shave down properly and if I continue to sharpen any further, the pencil tip breaks. Perhaps it's just a faulty one-off? Color payoff is good, without the need to press hard at all when applying, which I love. And I don't find these at all drying as they are fairly creamy in texture, but just be sure to apply to completely dry lips, otherwise, as I discovered when first using them, they will not stay on for long!  Selena x ~ My HG list ~ (As I've sampled 100s of skin, hair and m/u products over the last decade and a half, I thought it might be useful to share my top 10 must-have products, subject to change if and when I come across something more effective. I love constantly trying out new stuff - usually sample sizes via e-bay, also plenty courtesy of a friend who works at Sephora) 1. Hair Loss Treatment: ‘Divine Herbal’ - Hair Oil 2. Lip Balm: 'Nuxe' - Reve De Miel Lip Balm 3. Pigmentation + Anti-Ageing Treatment: ‘Divine Herbal’ - Facial Treatment Serum 4. Cleanser: 'Paula's Choice' - Skin Balancing Cleanser 5. Concealer: ‘Mac’ - Studio Finish Concealer 6. Lash Growth Serum: ‘Divine Herbal’ - Divinelash 7. Foundation/SPF: ‘Juice Beauty’ - Stem Cellular Repair (warm glow) 8. Face Scrub: ‘Sisley' - Botanical Gentle Buffing Cream 9. Moisturizer: ‘Lush' - Enzymion 10. Hand Cream: 'Origins' - Make A Difference Rejuvenating Hand Treatment

Rose Gold Remastered Eyeshadow Palette

The mattes in the original palette were very inconsistent; around half were pretty decent, but the other half were powdery & patchy and didn't wear well. However the talc-free formula here is in line with the one in the brand's Obsession palettes and other large eyeshadow palettes - easy to work with, fade/crease resistant and well-wearing. The shade repeats are the neutral selections; Suede, Coco, Maneater, Henna and Sandalwood. The three new shades are Risqué [replacing Bossy]; a rich plum red tone, Doll Face which is a bright red pink version of the original palette's pink [Flamingo] shade, and Demure [replacing Shy] which is a muted coral pink. The black matte shade [Black Truffle] is another shade repeat, that this time has been given a special wet/dry formula, making it a great eyeliner. The creamy, light reflecting, pressed pearl formula is my favourite from the brand and it was the only one that I enjoyed in the original palette. The shade here [Moon Dust] is also in the original palette, but the original palette also had a shade called Angelic, which now lives on in the brand's Desert Dusk eyeshadow palette. The Moon Dust shade can also be used as a cheek highlight. The textured foil formula in the original Rose Gold palette was the worst one to work with on me, but the brand's creamy metallic formula is a winner: Dubai, Fling, Trust Fund, Rose Gold, 24K and #Blessed are reborn with the formula. Pink Diamond [soft pink with a hint of silver] and Bubbly [champagne gold] are new introductions for this palette. I love the creamy metallic formulas in the brand's current eyeshadow palettes and the metallic shades here are no different - the formulas in the original palette were uneven, prone to creasing and transferred a lot, but these are silky smooth and barely transfer (I have deepset/hooded eyes, so no non-matte shade is 100% non-transferable). And now for the downsides... For me, there aren't any big issues - and this is a palette I was really nitpicky with. If I was being really picky, I would have picked a slightly cooler shade of brown in place of Cocoa, as it isn't overly different from Henna on me, but that is likely down to my skintone. I had no plans to ever try the Rose Gold Remastered eyeshadow palette, as I had the original Textured Rose Gold palette and disliked it so much that I gave it away despite the expense. However Feel Unique had the palette for 35% off over the '19 Black Friday weekend, plus I got another 10% off as Huda Beauty is my 'brand for life' AND I also had just earned a £5 gift voucher in their reward club, so in the end, I just couldn't resist buying it, as it worked out at half the usual price. Now I feel that the new formulas have made up for the poor formulas used for the first edition of the Rose Gold palette, and the slight shade readjustment has made everything flow that bit more nicely too - every time I open this palette, new look ideas instantly pop into my head. Also; the card packaging is excellent and looks & feels so much more luxurious in comparison to the original plastic casing and clear lid. I didn't think that any eyeshadow palette that Huda could create would compare to the New Nudes one in my eyes, but... I think that I prefer this one a little bit more, as I've not glanced at New Nudes since my Rose Gold Remastered arrived.
