I have to say that I love, love, love this moisturizer. It doesn't break me out, and it isn't greasy. It sinks into my skin. I use it morning and night. I love the delivery system to get it out of the jar. The problem is that if you push the dispenser down for a full pump, it seems like enough for 2 or 3 applications. I mean, it goes on and sinks into my skin, but this product is so expensive that I want to use the minimum amount that I actually need to make it last. It smells nice. I can wear it during the day as well under my makeup. I bought the glow kit with the Exfolikate and the Quench to try it out. I love buying from Nordstrom or Macy's because I know I can return what doesn't work. This works well. I feel like some of the cysts are disappearing. Now, the jury is out on Quench, which I just use a couple of nights a week. I think it may have caused a cyst. I decided to try this because I used a bb cream by Estee Lauder that broke me out something fierce. Between this, Peter Thomas Roth, Exfolikate, Dr. Dennis Gross' Alpha Peel pads, and EradiKate, my skin is clearing up. I have some smaller pimples that are fading on my jawline and just one under the skin cyst that has diminished a little tiny bit left.

This is a continuation of my review of several of her products.
I purchased this and several other products from this line.
My face is red and covered with very small bumps!
Her cleansers contain Sodium Sulfonates..which is a cheap cleaner used in Clorox!
And now I see that this contains isopropyl myristate. This stuff is an extremely comedogenic ingredient.
Really Kate!? Clorox for "the stars"??

This would be a really great basic moisturizer if it had a better price. I found that it didn't do anything special and given the $150 price tag I wanted something more than a basic moisturizer. The name makes it sound like it would be good for dry skin which is was not at all. If the price was in the $50-$60 range than I would rebuy it but not at this price. The strange pump also delivers either not enough or too much product.

This product, first and foremost, is ridiculously expensive. I don't know how Kate Summerville is facialist to the stars because this product really didn't do anything for me. Probably because celebrities already have perfect skin. I have very sensitive dry eczema skin and I figured that since this deep tissue repair cream was designed to promote new growth to repair damaged skin cells that this would be perfect for me. I like the push pump as it is hygienic but this product is absolutely not worth the money. The sheer volume to dollar ratio is out of control here and for my skin this didn't do nearly enough for me.
For the price Kate Summerville needs to be marketing miracles in a bottle. I could dish out less than $10 for Cetaphil at the pharmacy and receive better skin care, protection, and nourishment for my skin than this product provided.

I got the Sample from Sephora but I never thought it's a big deal until recently I found I got 1 frown line (yes, just one it has been going on for a week), so this morning after I washed my face, I massaged this in and after 5 minutes massage, the line is gone!

I received a free sample of this from Sephora & tried it last night. Did I see a difference in my skin? Yes, a little, especially if you count the massive ZIT I woke up with >:[

This product contains isopropyl myristate, which is a *highly* comedogenic ingredient. I have been seeing more & more ritzy skincare products that have that in them & it really bothers me. For a cream that's supposed to "repair" your skin, you'd think they'd use a higher-quality thickener. If I'm gonna pay $150 for face cream, I want high quality ingredients, not the same cheap grease that's in my hand lotion! This is why I don't buy expensive products- just because something costs a lot doesn't mean it doesn't have CRAP in it. This cream did help my skin a little bit, I will admit. I have some redness on my cheeks at the moment from a reaction to an herbal supplement, and it did seem to calm it down just a little bit. But it also made me sprout the aforementioned huge pimple literally overnight & made an old zit(one that was almost gone) flare up again.

I will NOT be purchasing this product. There are plenty of creams that are 1/10th the price that give comparable 'repairing' results that won't give me acne. continued >>

My face is really sensitive but this product works great on my face. It's thick enough but feels lightweight to keep my skin nourished. And with the way the container is, you can contol how much you use and it's not exposed to air. It's a must!

I tried this as a nightly moisturizer and it was ok. I never saw any grand improvement in skin tone or anything for that matter. When I began using retin-a treatments this moistuizer failed miserably at keeping my skin hydrated and soothed and I ended up with a splotchy, peeling, and painfully dry complexion. I since switched to Decleor Rose D'orient Night Balm and omg.... HG product!!! The Decleor has made my skin smooth, glowing and perfect even while using retin-a!
The Kate Somerville cream is just way too expensive in my opinion for what it does. When used alone at night I never really saw any improvement in my skin and I'm glad I bought a bunch of samples off of ebay to use instead of a whole full priced jar. In short, way too much $$$ with no visible results to justify the cost of it.

I was excited to try this after the rave reviews but I just could not handle the thick texture of this cream which made my skin feel suffocated. I stuck it out for a week but I did not see results for such a high priced cream (although Natura Bisse's Diamond Cream at $270 for 1.7 oz gave me immediate results with other people noticing results as well).

When my skin needs "extra moisture", I use Jurlique's Moisure Replenishing Day Cream (only $40 for 1.4 oz, thick texture at first but sinks in immediately & feels gorgeous unlike Kate's product) or for emergencies, I use Cosmedicine's Private Nurse ($75 for 1 oz, super moisturizing soothing matte cream that never feels heavy on the skin).

I am Korean, 44 years old (facialists /aestheticians guess I am 26 - 33). I have combination skin (dry in winter, slightly oily in summer however very prone to plugged pores and occasional breakouts). I use: Natura Bisse, Perricone MD, Jurlique, Cosmedicine, DHC Olive Oil Cleanser, and MD Forte Cleanser II & III. continued >>

Love this. Use it as a night cream. I have very dry skin in the winter and this cream goes on beautifully and feels great. Don't wake up with a shiny face in the morning. Only trouble I have is controlling the amount that comes out of the jar. Pretty expensive but, I think, worth it.

I am using a sample of this currently. I must say I am a faithful, Erno Laszlo follower and everything I use on my face is Laszlo, with the exception of this little tube of deep tissue repair. I use just a speck of it on 2 small lines/wrinkles on either side of my mouth - right above my upper lip. They drive me crazy and nothing has made them really disappear until I found this cream. Thats all I use it for and it works like nothing else I've tried. It's pretty much all smoke and mirrors but I don't care. When this cream is applied - they are GONE. So I'll keep using it just for that.

I received a sample of this in the "9 Kit", and am so thankful I didn't purchase a full size. I always use as little as possible when trying product for the first time and this product burned my skin when first applied, and left my dry skin feeling oily in spots. I continued to use the rest of the sample (about 5 days worth) to see if the conditions would improve -- they didn't -- and the burning was still there. At a price tag of over $200 dollars (!), I can't recommend this to anyone.

Nothing makes my skin feel better, even though I have oily skin and this is a cream. It evened out my tone and makes my skin feel great all day long. It's a really great primer for foundation, too.

After seeing the Heiress herself, Miss paris Hilton, waltz her skinny behind out of Kate Sommerville's Flagship shop in LA...I said to myself "Lisa, girl, you NEED to try Kate's products!"
Upon reading the other reviews for this product, I had high hopes. I shelled out my humble $250.00 for this "Miracle" cream instead of buying my dog food for 2 weeks.
After rubbing this amazing cream in, I knew that I had made the right decision. From the silky texture to the fresh scent, this lotion was worth every cent!! After about 3 weeks of using this product, I waltzed down Roberston Blvd. with my dog and felt like Paris Hilton (I'm pretty sure my puppy felt like Tinkerbell!!!)

Are all these posts form people who own the company or who work for Sommerville? This page is for reviews of deep tissue repair which is for mature skin. How is it that all these mature skins have acne issues? If you pan the world you aren't going to find this many people in one spot that are old enough to need tissue repair and who have prominent enough acne to have to purchase around it.
The acne push on here in every post is HIGHLY suspicious.
We used this and it was a waste of money. It did nothing more than any thing else for 1/4 the price in my opinion.
It is no better than any other mid or low priced moisturizer out there that I have used. I feel she is so overpriced that it should be against the law.

I love Deep Tissue Repair. I have dry skin that is flaky in the wintertime. This moisturizer is AWESOME. I only need a little bit and it literally hydrates my skin all day long. I have supersmooth makeup application and it just makes everything look so much better. I'm in love with the scent as well.Pricetag sucks but I've never tried anything like it.

I really wanted to like this cream. I read the great reviews here and decided to give it a whirl. If I liked this I was going to try more Kate S products. Well, I can't really say that I loved this or hated it. It is just *okay*. It did a good job moisturizing me. I didn't see any new amazing glowyness to my skin or anything life-altering, which for the price you would kinda hope for. I did get some breakouts here and there but I don't know if it was directly related to using this cream. I started using it on July 1 and I am still using the same jar, 4 months later, so I can say this lasts a long time. I would say I probably have another month or more of it left. I don't think I will buy this again unless when I stop using it I notice my skin going downhill. Sadly, I don't think it is any better then most moisturizers I have used.

I tried this several times over the course of a few months to check and see if there were other factors involved. Made me break out with every application. I have sensitive, oily skin and was hoping to use this for scars. No dice on this one!

This is an interesting product. As far as moisturizing propreties, this does its thing pretty well. Honestly, it's the best moisturizer I've used so far that has kept my skin hydrated enough yet mat. I usually get oily on my forehead after a few hours but this has kept the oils to a minimum like no other.
EDIT: However, I don't think I will buy again because of its ridiculously exorbitant price for an ingredient list that doesn't warrant it.
