Christopher Brosius uses perfume accords which he creates himself, and his scents reveal themselves in layers. They are not typical perfumes but are created to evoke memories.

Of Wild Hunt, he says it "is the scent of an ancient forest in the heat of a summer afternoon. It is a blend of Torn Leaves, Crushed Twigs, Flowing Sap, Fallen Branches, Old Leaves, Green Moss, Fir …

When I bought a sample of Wild Hunt, I expected to detect earthy forest notes, perhaps a bit a sweat from an energetic hunt and possibly the astringent scent of decaying leaves. However, what I got from Wild Hunt was the pure smell of dirt. It is extremely realistic and the creator is certainly talented to achieve the exact smell.... But, as far as smelling like this, I don't want my skin …Read more

I just received my 2ml absolute of this fragrance. Upon first putting it on, it was very dirty and green, and I thought I was really going to like it. Upon drying, I can still smell the dirt and some green, but it also has a very strong cologne-y odor (with maybe some pine?) that is manly and giving me an awful headache. This is what I hate about most perfumes/colognes, and I hate it in this …Read more

In my opinion, CB's true gift is in capturing fragrances that are evocative of a time, a place, a memory, a mood. In the case of Wild Hunt, this is an archetypal (read: buried deep in our unconscious) forest.
At first, casual sniff, Wild Hunt carries a lot of CB's wonderful dirt accord (lovers of Black March will recognize some similarities). Whereas in Black March, this dirt is …

This is the strangest scent I've ever smelled! Exactly as it is described by CB - forest floor, leaf mould and mushrooms. A brilliant re-creation, but do you want to smell like that? An unwashed camper.

This is the extremely dry, fall, forest floor. It is the smell of dry, brown leaves and a dry bed of dirt, twigs, roots, etc. after being trampled on a run. It even makes your nose feel exactly like you are lying on the ground after it has been stirred up into dust. It is more than just a dirt scent, there is an element of wildness to it. It is more like being in camp for days and the smell …Read more

(WaterPerfume) This is my favorite CB scent so far as it literally moves me to tears. It is mainly damp-earthy, complete with stones and with little bursts of roots and herbals and blossoms (?) within. A bit later, the earth fades and an evergreen-type note like balsam fir emerges - now this drydown is what *I* call Foresty Green Goodness! I was fortunate to have grown up on the edge of a lovely …Read more

This scent is exactly what it describes. You get a sense that your running through the forest barefoot and it's amazing how Christopher Brosius is able to capture all of these scents and bottle it. I personally believe this should not be worn as a perfume.

I enjoy sniffing Wild Hunt very much out of the bottle and it is great for the first few minutes. After about 5 minutes I just get dirt. Luckily, CB does dirt well so I don't mind it at all. I get the feeling that CB perfumes vary widely with each persons body chemistry so you may wnat to sample this first. Wild Hunt was expensive $17 for 2ml. However, this should last a long time. I …Read more
