expensive for a basic palette, but excellent quality, you get what you pay for... once you depot your MAC shadows this baby will pay for itself in sleek storage. easy to pop into your bag and/or great for travel. also can put other shadows in here (pan has to be same size). Also can pop off the divider and make even more room for pans

This palette is great if you pop out the 15 pan plastic insert out of it. You can put a lot more pans of various shapes and sizes that way. It's all black and looks pretty good. It makes a great palette to keep at home/storage. With that said, I would never take this traveling because it's a bit on the flimsy side as far as traveling goes. However, if you're just keeping this on the vanity it's fine.

I took a lippie off because it would be great if it had a clear top so you can see your colors. Also, while it's not terribly expensive, it probably costs them 20 cents each to make one, so part of the one lippie off is for the crazy retail markup on this. I would buy this again when I run out of room on my other 2 palettes, but I don't think I'd travel with it.

I love my MAC 15-pans. I've filled up 3, and have enough shadows for a 4th one, which I need to pick up ASAP. With so many shadows, the only solution is 15-pans. At first I was hesitant, thinking they would be too large and cumbersome to use on a daily basis, but I've become a pro at handling them (pardon the pun). They're super sleek and thin, which is a very important consideration for me. I don't mind that they don't have a mirror - when I travel I swap a few shades into quads. The only issue is that you can't see the shades inside - I've solved this by putting a tiny sticker on each one, in the colour of the shadows inside. this makes it a breeze to find the palette I want, and they're all there, easy to find and easy to use. I can't live without my pro palettes! And don't forget about all the B2M's from depotting the shadows :) Just remember, the bottom of the palette is metal, so you will need magnets on the shadow pans. This is opposite of some others, such as Stila, where the palette is magnetic and the pans are metal.

I love having a palette, before I owned one I would always stick to the same colours as it's so fiddly opening and closing all the different eyeshadow pots. I love being able to see so many colours at once, it makes it easy to put colour combinations together. I have taken out the 15 space insert part as I had more than 15 shadows and wanted them all to fit in. The shadows all stay in perfectly ok. I reckon you could get about 24/25 shadows in there which is obviously more space saving than buying another palette. I would definitely recommend depotting your current eyeshadows and putting them in your palette, I looked on YT first to find out how to do so and its actuallly really easy. Then you can back to mac your old pots and get some new lipsticks! (My MAC counter accepts eyeshadow pots with no pans.) if you are thinking of getting one I would 100% recommend that you do, makes life a lot easier in the morning. Just be careful not to drop it! Xxx

I do really like these palettes, but I wish they had a clear front like the quads. I don't like labeling mine because I'm always moving them around. Other than that they are nice & sturdy & keep my shadows nicely organized.

Ok i love Mac palletes i have about 6 now. But mac decided to raise up the price for the 15 pan palletes i have no idea why. They raised up the price for the empty quads i get it they changed the packaging but they didn't change anything to the 15 pan. So it is a little annoying. But i still love them Great to color coordinate your eyeshadows.

This is a great place to keep your eyeshadows together and organized. However, one of my palettes broke at the clasp after a year of use.

These palettes are pretty good, the design is simple and clean, the quality is good so though they're light weight - they don't feel flimsey. The palette closes with a magnetic closure and is tight enough so that I don't get too worried about my e/s falling out when the palette is stored on its side.
The palette holds a variety of pans, and can hold non-mac ones if you add a magnet. I even put the square ones from the UD palette's in here. You can find many videos on youtube about how to depot most 'pot' form eyeshadows and outfit them to work well in the mac palette.
Also, the slim design is good for storage and the simplicity (no embellishments) make it so you can decorate the covers to identify the colors contained therein.

I love this palette! It's a bit pricey, but I'll pay what I have to to take care of my make-up and organise it properly.
Personally I have one MAC eyeshadow, and the other 14 spaces are filled with Urban Decay eyeshadows! They fit perfectly!
If you only have one palette but up to about 24 eyeshadows, you can actually remove the tray with the circular holes in and you end up with a blank palette.

Love it!!! Feels very professional, great to have your eyeshadows in one place, wherever you take it. I love rearranging them and getting them perfect. Also a huge timesaver: Think about how long it takes to find each little compact or even quad, two hands to open it, use it, close it, find the next one...
