For reference, my HG foundation is Chanel Vitalumiere aqua. My skin is combination, but neither particularly oily or dry (often quite normal).
This is a great foundation, it reminds me of Giorgio Armani's luminous silk, but with better coverage. I was able to build this up over my blemish to completely cover any redness. But it still looks very natural and doesn't settle into …Read more
I like to read countless reviews before buying a product, so it's rare that something exceeds my expectations. This does. These excel in texture, pigmentation, colour and blendability. Maybelline color tattoos have nothing on the buttery smooth texture of these. Oh, and once these set, they stay. Wonderful, and thoroughly recommended.
Sunscreen - Paula's Choice - RESIST Super-Light Daily Wrinkle Defense Broad Spectrum SPF 30 - Normal/Oily/Combination Skin
Wow. This is an exceptional physical sunscreen - for all skin types. There is no shine or white cast, it's not drying, and it's non irritating and hasn't caused any breakouts. Oh, and when I use this, the redness and discolouration on my face is less evident (even when I remove it I mean).
This does have a tint, but not enough to provide any real colour. If anything, it …Read more
This has replaced my usual Clarins cleansers (which I loved). I use fresh olive oil alone to cleanse my face, and it works better than anything I've ever tried. It removes sunscreen and a full face of makeup, including mascara and eyeliner with virtually no effort.
I simply pour a little olive oil into my hand, massage it into my face (including around my eyes and eyelashes), then …Read more
I find this to be quite a boring product in that it doesn't appear to have any effect on my skin. I purchased it following the impressive reviews, and also because the ingredients list seemed impressive.
This is an oil, but it's lightweight, non-greasy and absorbs quickly. It would be lovely for combination to oily skins, perhaps even as a moisturiser. For drier skins, I …Read more
Deep Throat is by far the best blush I've tried. It's perfect in every regard, in how it performs and aesthetically. My skin is very fair, (nw15 or less) and this suits me, but it also brings life to my face when I fake tan. Based on the colour and the reviews here, I'm certain that this will work for all light-medium skin tones.
This product excels in how easy it is to …Read more
I have only used this a few times, so I will update later. I first tried it for ten minutes, and noticed no real difference and no tingling (my skin is pretty resilient). Afterwards I left it on for around 30 minutes instead, I felt an ever slight tingling sensation and my face looked brighter but nothing else. However, the next morning I woke up and found that my face looked exceptionally …Read more
This is, without a doubt, the best facial cleanser I've ever used. I was previously using two cleansers from Clarins, both of which I loved. But olive oil removes my makeup and sunscreen with minimum effort.
I simply slather a good amount of this onto my face, massage it in (including my eyes), and then remove it with a damp flannel. A few people complain of the leftover residue …Read more
Firstly, I am partial to Clarins products because they work exceptionally well with my skin. Since switching to using Clarins products (for over one year), my skin has been under control. I don't notice any real difference in performance or texture between this and the one with spf15. I prefer this one so that I can use it day and night (spf isn't recommended at night) and wear a …Read more
