So-so polish. Unbelievable packaging. This is basically a collector's item, I would recommend this to someone strictly as that.

But as far as the polish itself, it is so mediocre and unoriginal (maroon-ish red shimmer anyone?) and it doesn't even look like the polish that Uma Thurman wore in the movie. She was famously wearing Chanel Vamp, so when I heard about the UD Pulp Fiction collection I naturally assumed that the nail polish in the collection would be some sort of Vamp ripoff. Which I could forgive, nothing wrong with a Vamp ripoff.

But that's not what this. It's not even close. Unfortunately, it's just a generic dark-ish red that looks like it cost about $2. This was my first polish from UD and I'm pretty sure it's going to be my last.

Two lippies instead of just one (seriously) because the packaging is just too good. The bottle itself, I understand all UD bottles look like this- slim and round with a tiny plastic skull with roses for eyes on top of the handle. Pretty cool-looking. But the box it came in! If you're a fan of the movie then this box is EVERYTHING! It's got the movie's red-and-yellow logo embossed in huge lettering on the front. And on the inside there's a long quote from that great speech that Samuel L. Jackson gives at the beginning of the movie, "...and I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger..." Yeah, THAT speech. And on the back of the box, which I thought was a cute touch, there's a tiny picture of a Band-Aid like the bandage Marcellus Wallace had on the back of his neck for the whole movie (and they never explained why). They did such a good job on the packaging, I have never bought a product that came in a box that I love more than this one.

I just wish that UD had put as much effort into the product itself because they obviously put a lot of thought into the design. But the polish falls short, there's nothing special about it. There are tons of vampy reds out there that are superior to this one (try OPI's Malaga Wine or Essie Macks). The polish was disappointing and not something that I would buy again.
