About the brand

In Germany in 2008, Zoe Boikou began searching for high-quality makeup brushes at an affordable price. After she found brushes from Canada that fit the bill, she began to sell them on ebay. This slowly grew into a larger business, and Zoeva Cosmetics was born. The company makes great use of social media to promote its line of brushes and cosmetics and the products are available online.

Yes yes yes! I love this brush! Finally a super soft brush to blend in my foundation. This is the perfect thickness and softness and size to blend in foundation. I am so happy I found this! Ive tried SO MANY foundation brushes and this is a winner.

I know that it's intended for use in face contouring, but I use it as a foundation brush and it does a fantastic job! It is very similar to the 142 concealer brush, just larger. The brush head has densely packed synthetic bristles attached firmly by the ferrule, and the bristles don't absorb any product. I have used it for ages and not a single hair has been shed even with frequent washing. It works best with cream, liquid, and gel formulations, not so much with powder. Used in little circular buffing motions, it makes blending out your base into your skin evenly and without any streaks, the top can also be used to dab areas with streaks, lines etc by softly blending it out and depositing colour at the same time. I have also used this with cream blush, which it worked well for too. I've heard that the silk finish brush is like this but larger still, and that WAS designed as a foundation brush, but I'm not keen on huge brushes so I've not tried it. But reportedly it is very similar, so if you prefer a larger brush you might want to try that instead. But this 110 brush is small enough to blend and buff make-up in around the sides of the nose, undereyes etc so that means I'm very satisfied with it.

My skin: combination to dry, fine lines, likely menopausal ( I'm 47.) Tone: light to medium depending on Sun exposure; NC25 in MAC for reference. Warm undertones. Issues: aforementioned fine lines, redness. Tendency to be very dry except my nose which could support small countries with the oil production. Bless the previous reviewer for mentioning their skin tone and the color they selected! I had to order online and that can be a nightmare but I got 100W as suggested and it's a perfect match. The shade is called Confident for reference; it is manufactured in Italy. Okay, I love this. I wore it for an extended period of time in hot/humid weather walking around a lot and it stayed fresh looking. Didn't settle into lines and made my skin look flawless ( it isn't.) Nice glow without being over the top. Light feeling coverage. For $28 it's not incredibly expensive and I will definitely repurchase.
