Treatments (Face) -Skinceuticals -C E Ferulic

I can not rave about this product enough. I have been using it every morning for about six months. I will say I have had endlessly expensive issues with finding a foundation that works with this and my super oily skin. But. Stop. Woah. You can apply this at night time. It does not wash off and lasts for 72 hours?? OK. Game changer. I went against all of the traditional uses, I applied before bed. Chose not to use any other actives, just a quick smear of Dermalogica skin smoothing moisturiser. I woke up and actually, holy shit balls. I sat in front of the mirror, just staring. Smooth. Before I applied foundation. What? Ok, so I have tried every foundation under the sun in the last 12 months, and I do mean every. Chanel to Too Faced. I have spent Thousands. Could it possibly have been the ferulic was just making my skin too greasy????? Oh my god, putting it on the night before has just opened my options up to so many foundations that I negated before due to the grease factor this caused when applied in the morning. And on top of all that my skin looks like butter, I am 38 with hormonal flare ups and stubborn pigmentation. I swear, four drops, the night before, I wanted to kiss my reflection.

Treatments (Face) -Skinceuticals -Hyaluronic Acid Intensifier

i agree with previous reviewer about the amount of alcohol in this. YOU CAN SMELL IT. it's tacky, and doesn't seem to absorb. it sits on surface on the skin.

i was strongly recommended this by a clinic, and totally hates it. there's better HA out there!

Treatments (Face) -Skinceuticals -Metacell Renewal B3

This stuff seems pretty miraculous. I knew my skin liked niacinamide so I wanted to try out a more "clinical" strength than CeraVe PM and Missha (my skin does not like NIA - too much fragrance I think). I found this. I trust skinceuticals and CE Ferulic is my one true love so I was willing to invest a bit. It is expensive but it is quickly becoming one of the heavy hitters in my skincare routine. My skin is glowing, even, and plump - I don't even mean that plump feeling you get when you drink a lot of water or use a nice cream that comes and goes - but truly firmer and stronger. I have some fine lines and loss of volume around my eyes and cheeks and I can see this is helping. I was hoping I wouldn't like it so I wouldn't have to reorder but, damn.

Sunscreen -Skinceuticals -Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF 50

on 3/11/2018 5:10:00 PM

My experience with the Skinceuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense is quite similar to LPomona's below. I'd been searching for a sunscreen that wouldn't irritate my late-40s, sensitive, mild rosacean, combo skin, and that I could wear on my eyelids and up to my eyes without stinging. This sunscreen does that. I do have to apply a light lotion (right now, that's Cetaphil moisturizing lotion) on cheeks and dry areas first though, and let that sink in for a bit, before applying this sunscreen on top. Otherwise, it can be a bit drying for me.

I find that this method of application works best for me: Shake the bottle well, measure out 1/4 tsp, put that on my held-tightly-together fingertips of one hand, pat the fingertips of the two hands together to distribute, then pat it all over my face, spread it gently, then pat it in again. (I find that gently patting it in, rather than rubbing, then waiting a few minutes for it to absorb, works well for this sunscreen.) It takes a few minutes to absorb but once it does, it looks lovely and natural -- neither too shiny nor too matte.

When I use the recommended 1/4 tsp for my face, that's enough coverage for me to go without foundation. The coverage is fairly sheer but has a mild blurring effect that tones down the redness on my cheeks. It doesn't cover it completely but I don't need it to. It just makes my skin look very natural but more even-toned. As for the tint, it works well for my NC20-25/MUFE Ultra HD Y245, light-to-light-medium Asian skin with slight yellow and olive undertones. It's maybe a smidge darker than my natural skin tone but it blends well enough that it makes my skin look a bit "sun-kissed" (as LPomona says), making it perfect for spring and summer, when I wear this sunscreen. (I use a different, SPF30 one, for fall/winter.)

I assume the PA/PPD (UVA) protection on this isn't the greatest, given that the zinc oxide percentage is only 5%. I wear this as a daily sunscreen on workdays or casual weekend days when I'm not going to be out in the sun much. When I'm going to be outdoors longer, or for workouts, I use a different sunscreen (currently I'm trying out Rotho Skin Aqua Super Moisture Milk).

Skincare - Face -Skinceuticals -Phyto+ (previously Primacy Phyto+ serum)

So expensive and did not reduce redness at all. It really did nothing. The consistency is also sticky. Do not recommend.
