Lips -Mary Kay -Mary Kay Signature Amber Suede Lipstick

on 1/30/2018 7:55:00 PM

Amber Suede is a gorgeous shade. It is between brown and red, but it has a unique twist, almost with a hint of shimmer. It goes on so smoothly, even without a liner. Can you tell I really love it?

It has been discontinued, but there are many for sale on eBay. But beware. The old formula in the silver tube is a lighter shade -- more beigey brown and less red -- than the newer formula in the black tube. The formula in the black tube has more red and more depth. In my opinion, the black tube color is far superior. They both have the same wonderful smooth formula. It feels great, too.

Makeup Brushes -Mary Kay -Brush set

on 1/29/2018 5:40:00 PM

I received these as a gift so at least I didn't pay for them. I've never seen so much shedding from a set of brushes aside from ones that came from a dollar store. These are so bad that when I finished my makeup I had to go back and pick stray hairs off my face and neck.

As far as how they feel.. they feel like cheap brushes. I'm not a professional by any stretch of the imagination but the brushes I paid $13.99 for on Amazon are better quality.

Lotions/ Creams -Mary Kay -Satin Hands Nourishing Shea Cream

on 1/3/2018 12:14:00 AM

This is the newer, fragrance-free shea cream version of Satin Hands. (I was given this item this past summer by a cancer patient assistance charity.) This has a nice, light consistency, but doesn't moisturize very much, and the effect is not very long-lasting. It smells okay. I prefer O'Keeffe's Working Hands cream, which works better and longer than this product.

Eye Makeup Remover -Mary Kay -Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover

on 12/7/2017 11:23:00 AM

I have been using this (black cap bottle) for years. I have sensitive combination skin.
Note: I don't believe in buying from only 1 Make-up company. I use items from any company that is reasonably priced and if they work great! If not I will not buy that item again.
Before I found this remover I quit wearing make-up. It was too much work and some removers took off eye shadows and foundation but left my mascara all over my face. Or they made my eyes burn and swell.
This doesn't sting at all unlike many removers I've tried. So many pros about this.
The only con I found is it feels oily until it's washed off.

Mascara -Mary Kay -Lash Love Mascara

on 12/2/2017 3:13:00 PM

I like the applicator but then again most mascara has started coming in this rubber applicator brush format.
It is a good enough mascara for daily use; good enough volume, very little length and applies ok. This flakes on my cheeks which is why I don't think I repurchase after I finish. I am glad to try it out but there are more sophisticated mascara out there so bye bye.
