This cream is highly recommended for dry, aging skin and I know many people rave about it. The price and packaging are great but it made my face break out, so it's not for me.

I am really on the fence with this eye cream and I'd give it a 3.5 or maybe a 4 but I'm not as blown away by this as I was hoping to be, based on how much I love the Embryolisse face cream. This eye product - 15 ml., so not a bad size - comes in a tube that is compact and great for travel. The texture is half way between a cream and a gel. It is not irritating in the least and works well with my under eye concealer. I've been using it for about 3 weeks and, quite honestly, I'm not sure if it's great or not! The price is $42, so much cheaper than my holy grail Clarins eye cream which also has bulkier packaging, but by purchasing this on a Thursday, I got 20% off so the price is pretty good. Chances are I will repurchase this because many things about it - price, packaging, how it works under makeup - are all really good and the product itself, while not "wow" is nice enough and non-irritating.

This is a very nice hydrating toner that contains 4 flower waters: rose, orange blossom, blueberry, and hamamelis (witch hazel) and is alcohol-free. I also like that this is in a large (200ml) sturdy plastic spray bottle and can be used for multiple purposes: toner, hydrating mist, primer, or to set make up. There is only a slight floral scent but it is pleasant and doesn’t linger. The nozzle on the bottle I have sprays a fine and even mist the majority of the time and I’ve only experience a few heavier droplets on occasion, nothing troublesome or problematic as it’s easy enough to tap them with a beauty sponge (if using to set makeup). As a toner or hydrating mist, this actually helps Hyaluronic Acid serums work better. I have sampled many of the other Embryolisse products but the only ones I’d repurchase are this one and the Lait Creme Concentre (which I have bought many times over and have backups of in my cabinet right now). At $22 CAD for 200ml, I think this is worth purchasing.

This is a great product for winter, as the colour it eventually "settles" on seems quite pale. The texture is not heavy and there is definitely more coverage than the average tinted moisturiser. You do need extra conceal on top for pesky blemishes though. It does not feel drying and in fact, my skin soaks up its moisturising properties, but there is a definite "claggy" feeling to the skin which is slightly annoying- definitely not a "weightless" foundation. I love that it has an SPF20 and the squeezy soft plastic bottle is perfect for travelling, the dispensing tip is good for controlling the right amount of product to squeeze out. I find it adheres to the skin best if using fingertips rather than a beauty blender. Lasts longer with a good primer, but has fairly good staying power on its own.

This lotion made me realize that I am highly allergic/reactive to triethanolamine in the worst possible way. I bought it for a extremely good price at Target (sadly they discontinued selling it on their website several months ago) and I was hoping to use it during the warmer months. Well I couldn't help myself so I tried it when it warmed up. After a day my chest erupted in the worst case of cystic acne I have ever experienced in my life and I rarely break out on my chest, arms, back, etc. It has taken me about two weeks for it to subside and not all of the pimples/cyst came to a head. I passed this lotion to my mother and hopefully she will have a better experience than I do. On the plus side, it is a very light lotion that has a subtle scent and keeps you moisturized for the whole day. And this brand made me hypervigilant about avoiding triethanolamine in hair and body care. So that means a huge purge is going to occur in my stash because I know it is in select hair gels, pomades, hair moisturizers, face lotions, etc. It sucks to have sensitive skin but at least I can have clear skin for once in my life.
