Mattifying Foam Cleanser

The Avene Foaming Cleanser feels so good on the skin and the foam is very soft and gentle while massaging it into the skin and after rinsing with water my face doesn't feel dry or tight, in fact, it feels very comfortable and soft. It has a light scent which I adore, it's not too strong and it smells amazing. It does break down the makeup but I wouldn't recommend using this one for heavier or stubborn makeup. I like to use the cleanser in the AM and PM and following it up with the Avene Skin Recovery Cream. https://youtu.be/mZmOrRgWthw

I have been on a long journey with my skin, and it is all here on Makeualley. I have learned that non-foaming and sometimes no surfactant cleansers work for my skin, I think it's because I have Lupus and sometimes my skin is reactive and dry. Tolerance Extreme Cleansing Lotion has been my go-to for at least a year now. I switch it up with Stratia Velvet Cleansing Milk but there are times that cleanser will give me dermatitis because of the formaldehyde-based preservatives. Sometimes I can't even sensibio H2o micellar water. I am a full-time cook, and I have discovered that hydrophilic oil cleansers do an incredible job of removing the particulate matter from an industrial kitchen from my skin without stripping it. Avene's Tolerance Exreteme cleansing lotion is a very rare cleanser, a truly updated version of cold cream. Scentless, creamy and soothing this cleanser gives me smooth, happy skin. There are no preservatives and while that is why this cleanser doesn't ever irritate, the packaging is frustrating as hell. It's designed so that no air can get inside the tube but that system makes it impossible to get the last 1/4 of the lotion out. What's worse, if I cut the tube and put it in a jar it starts to get funky really quck. Again, because there are no preservatives. No BS Beauty, a YouTube influence I follow, sells her own airless packaging on Amazon. This may be the answer to my problem. There is one other regrettable thing about this cleansing lotion. It contains a polymer that is in fact a form of microplastic. It's a pollutant to the aquaculture. I am searching for a replacement for this reason. But if you have reactive, dry skin that also get clogged easily I am saying this cleanser is not only gentle but it truly does clean one's skin of true grime. I don't know about make up, as I don't wear it often.

This is in a white plastic container very lightweight and great packaging. the sponge compartment is separate from the actual product. I have this in sable beige which is the lighter shade of the two. I am nc20 C1 y225 and this color matches me very well. I am super impressed with the formula of this cream. I consider this a high spf bb cream and it really looks beautiful on the skin. its hardly detectable and smoothes imperfections while looking fresh and satin finish without drying out my skin. It is a light to medium very buildable coverage. I use Bobbi Brown Vitamin Face Base first then i use a beauty blender or a flat top kabuki to buff this in and it looks like gorgeous skin. Lasts all day with some shine on my tzones i can carry it with me if i ever need to touch up. Ive been using this everyday when i have to go out when the sun is out. I wouldnt use this to a dinner or an event during the night because it might have flashback since it contains very high spf. looks great and feels great for about 3 hours then it starts to feel a bit greasy. Spf50 is about That timeframe so I dont think its meant to be long lasting all day. Edit- I am not repurchasing because I feel Australian Gold Botanical Tinted spf50 keeps me more matte throughout the day and its 1/3 of the price of Avene. Avene is still a beautiful on the go but I dont like how I get shiny by the end of the day.
