I absolutely adore this product I highly recommend it to everyone! Go and purchase this! It's amazing!
After wasting my money on drugstore shampoo that makes you believe it will rescue your damaged, dry, frizzy hair, but turns out it's just going to make your hair in worse condition, I decided to go to my hair dresser.
She told me to try this out, and she said it should help my dry and damaged, unruly hair and bring it back to life again. I bought into that, and after using this I saw no results! So I wasted $35 on this shampoo which only has a few good qualities about it.
For one, it has a very good smell to it and it's not a greasy feeling texture or anything horrible like that. It's simple to wash out, but really, that's all I can really say was the postive things!
I have very thick long hair that usually waves and frizzes unless I blow dry straight. Usually even when I blow dry straight and straighten I end up with frizz, kinks, waves and flyaways.
I had been using John Frieda Blonde shampoo but I was having to wash my hair constantly (and when your hair is as painful as mine to style you really don't want that!) because it was totally greasy and ended up over-greasing my dry shampoo after only 1.5 days after washing.
Using Matrix has left my hair perfectly managable. It has slightly reduced my styling time and has "dried" my hair (but only in a positive way!) so that its as sleek and shiny and grease free on day one as it is on day three - there is no hurry for me to wash my hair or take out shares in Batiste. I have no flyaways or kinks and I have that lovely full and straight style that does not look lank!
Scent is nothing special and neither is the design but I would not swap this product! I use this with the conditioner and blow in cream (I use a Babyliss Big hair to blow dry and follow with GHD's) and I have straight hair!
Really happy with this product!
This shampoo is amazing. I have tried many shampoos but this one is very creamy and thick, you need to use only small amount, and the result is perfct. It also smells nice.
Incredible shampoo. Holy grain material. I have never had softer, smoother hair and I honestly cannot think of a better product. Edit: If used every day I find that it gets too heavy and gives me slightly greasy roots so I am removing a star for that. I alternate with my redken all soft with no problems!
This is my holy grail shampoo! I use it in conjunction with the Sleek Look Conditioner and have been using it off and on for several years. I have fine hair that has a bit of wave and I do get frizzy - this shampoo smooths me out like nothing ever has! There are days where I feel like I don't even have to use any other products in my hair because it's not turning into a big puffy fuzz ball. The scent is nice (nothing overly special) and the product lathers up very well. The only real downfall to this products is price. I have attempted to find cheaper alternatives but nothing has come close to touching the results I get with this shampoo. I will repurchase (and I have repurchased). I'm sure I will continue looking for a cheaper alternative but if history repeats itself I will come crawling back to this eventually :)
I've been using this product along with the sleek conditioner for many years. I've tried other shampoos and always end up going back to this shampoo and conditioner time after time. I have fine straight hair and it leaves my hair super sleek/straight without any loss of body or volume.
I only use the shampoo. I rarely write reviews so if i do, the product sucks or is amazing. And this shampoo is amazing! It leaves my hair soft, shiny, and manageble. And thats not even with the conditioner! This is truely a great product, but pricey, so buy it on sale! (:
My favorite shampoo ever, ever, ever. I had been using this and the matching conditioner for 10+ years at least until they discontinued it last winter. I enjoyed years of having long, shockingly healthy, frizz-free strands despite monthly dying and frequent flat ironing. The product went through several reformulations (I think it was called Smooth and Sleek initially) and the formula always seemed to get better and better... until now. Sadly it has been replaced by Matrix Total Results Sleek which I am afraid to try because when I tried the conditioner it was not unlike what I imagine just putting straight butter in your hair would be like, and gave me a savage and most unfortunate case of back acne. I am so sad for my lost sleek.look.
