BAD BAD BAD!! Omg..i had the worst experience with using this face cream and let me tell u i have used a bunch since i am on a forever never ending search mission to find my HG moisterizer.... sigh......... :(
I generally hav a passion for trying out new products and sad to say hav spent a fortune on it so far, so with that havin said i heard abt the Dermaogica range and decided to research up onit before splashing out. It sounded too good 2 b tru so i headed out to my nearest dermalogica store and decided to buy the sample Kit which mind u was still very expensive!! :( i opted for the dry/normalas this is what the SA there suggestedafter my 'skin mapping'. Although i wasnt sattisfied with that bcoz i do believe i have combination skin. But anyway i came home with this kit and cudnt wait2 try it out. First night after cleansin my face with the kit i went to bed hoping to wake up to 'amazing plump fresh skin'... but sadly no. In the mornin i again applied this moisterizer and all day my face fely gloppy.... dirty.... greasy.... and heavy!!! YhUCK!!! But i still stuck to it hoping it needed a few days to kick in... but day after day.... i HATED wearing this... the cleanser was ok.... the toner spray was rubbish....did NOTHING... and the skin smoothing cream was just horrible. I had a constant break out throughout the month i continued using this kit.... red blemishes all over my face..uugghhh.... and touchwood my skin is usually always clear !!
So i stopped and went back to using my clinique 3 step.... i alwaya go back to this in the end..... siiiggghhhhh...!!!!!!!

Not too light or heavy and did not break me out which makes it a great moisturiser for my combination skin.

Great for dry skin during winter months or from a product that dried your skin out. It gives my skin just what it needs & almost instantly I feel the life come back into my skin.
Right now during the warmer weather my skin is more oily and I sweat more. I won't use this product if I know I'm going to be out in the sun & sweating. Right now I'm using it every other night before bed and that's it. I use something lighter mostly right now. So for those with oily skin I would advise against this product.
Oh & I don't mind the scent. I don't notice it after a few minutes.

Have been using this cream for a couple of days and, honestly, can't decide whether I like it or not. One thing I definitely don't like is the smell --too chemical. I think I prefer my Avene Hydrating Cream Light, but the jury is still out. Will have to write an update in a month or so.

This is my HG moisturizer! I've been using it everyday (day and night) for the last 1.5 years and have zero complaints.

I have dry skin, but it is in generally quite good condition to begin with. Very few breakouts, spots or other issues. I just need a moisturiser to help my feel soft, smooth and not too tight after cleansing, and this suits it perfectly.

I apply just over a pea size on my entire face (and smooth the extra on my neck). It's really light and spreads easily, and absorbs very quickly! I can apply makeup over it straight after, or go straight to bed with no worries. I've noticed that even after my first use and with continued use, the skin on my face has become much softer and smoother.

If you want a multi-tasking moisturiser (lightening, glowing, lifting, toning, etc.) this is probably not for you but if you just need something to maintain and improve the texture of your skin, definitely give this a try. A little tube actually goes a long, long way!

Skin Smoothing cream is my favourite moisturiser! I suffer from dry/combination skin that sometimes breaks out in spots.
I apply this cream lightly as it is a little thick and my skin looks so smooth and soft. I would recommend this to anyone that suffers from dry or combination skin. I definitely think it is worth the price!

I purchased Skin Smoothing Cream per the recommendation of my esthetician based on the fact that I have acne-prone skin but thought I needed something more moisturizing during the fall and winter months; I also use other Dermalogica products such as cleansers and masques. (I had previously used L'Oreal Future-E Oil-Free moisturizer on a daily basis with great results, although I felt it was less hydrating than I needed in the cool months.) Since using this product, I have developed large, painful, cystic acne on a very regular basis all over my face, despite my regular exfoliation schedule of twice weekly. I will be returning this product and returning to my previous moisturizer, especially after reading a couple of other reviews that confirmed my suspicions that this is what is causing my increased breakouts.

The most hydrating moisturiser that I've ever owned, without being too thick. This combats dryness amazingly and I honestly cannot live without it! No other moisturiser has ever compared.

I generally like this cream, it feels nice on my skin, very moisturising, but not too heavy, however it has a bit of a funky smell which totally puts me off it and I can't wait to use it all up, so I don't need to use a cream with such a weird smell anymore.. If it wasn't for the smell I might buy again.

I have been using this products for 3 months now during the summer months and I love how it hydrates my combination skin without making it too oily. My skin feels plump and soft and I definitely prefer this over the active moist as the active moist was not hydrating for my skin at all. I do know that this product has parabens in it but this doesnt bother me at all because parabens in dermalogica are actually in very small quantities and there is no real evidence that parabens are bad. In fact I have used many products without parabens and they have caused my skin to itch and become red. I havent used this in the harsh winter months yet but I do hope that this does the job equally well during winter.
