It's a very soft brush. Good for blending. I agree with all the other reviews who say it doesn't pick up pigment.

I actually use this to apply my mineral makeup concealer in problem areas...works great! Soft, synthetic hair...no harming the animals! I've washed it a zillion times and is still good as new.
