I love this stuff! It moisturizes so well!! I can't get enough of how soft this has made my lips! On top of that it smells delicious! It has a medicated smell (not strong like carmex) with a warm hint of vanilla! I'm not too crazy about the cap but who cares, I got it for only $1.49 at my local grocery store! I would repurchase this a thousand times over!!

i used to use this product for about 2 years. i love the burning sensation but only felt that this product worked well when you were wearing it, and the minute it wears off lips immediately feel chaped and dry. i usually used this under lipsticks and other dry lip products so it creates a nice shine/gloss texture. However, i soon noticed that this lip balm slightly made my lips darker so i changed to burts and bees, although this product is a bit more expensive, its worth the price, burts and bees made my lips SO much more moisturized and softer. Also the packaging isnt my preference, i hate dipping my finger in makeup products due to the bacteria buildup and how it gets under my nails. id perfer if this lip balm came in a pump container or lipstick continer type.Overall, this product is alright, but not one of my perfered choices of lip balm products

5 lippies for this stuff! I love it! Love the smell. Love the hydration. Love it all. Put this on at night and your lips will feel so good in the morning! Once I had such a bad sunburn that even my lip were peeling and I tried so many different balms to try make them not feel disgusting! This was the only one that did the trick so it has been a HG product for me ever since....I'm not wild about the packaging- little bit of pain digging it out but I overlook it because the product is so amazing.

Of all the potted lip balms I've come across, Blistex Daily Conditioning Treatment (DCT) is my absolute favorite - and one that I've repurchased countless times. It provides a slightly cooling menthol effect when first applied to the lips and offers a decent wear time. The texture is on the thicker side, so I find the tasteless balm is best used as a nighttime treatment. I slather it on my lips before bedtime and, by the time I wake up in the morning, my lips are supple and utterly kissable. Lipstick glides on like a dream. SPF 20 is a bonus.

For the longest time this was my HG lip balm. It moisturized my lips like no other lip balm under $3 could do. If money is tight, then I highly recommend this lip balm.

- It really made my lips feel hydrated.
- It does not dry to a gritty/heavy feeling on my lips.
- It has a subtle gloss that was appropriate for any occasion.
- It has SPF 20.
- It's cheap and affordable!

I did not mind that it both smelled and tasted like bitter, medical ointment. I could not, however, get over the fact that it was in a tub. I keep my nails long now and this tub was just not practical. Maybe if the tub had a wider diameter, it'd be okay, but the tub was super tiny! Even when I kept my nails short I would still accidentally scrape the balm if I wasn't careful.

If I was ever in a lip emergency, I know I can count on this being at almost all drugstores and Wal-Mart, whereas my other favorites (Jack Black and C.O. Bigelow) are not so readily available. So yes, I would definitely rebuy this if I needed to!

I agree with all the comments about not liking the tub - the product gets under my nails. It does smell a little funky - DH won't kiss me with this on. But it works great at the end of the day. Have repurchased and probably will again. Lasts forever.

If I could stack up all of the empty containers of this stuff I have used in my life, it would be scary! Its the only lip balm I use. If I could only take 1 thing to a deserted island with me, it would be this.

I've repurchased this because it is the most healing treatment I've ever tried. It's only a couple of dollars and it smells like mildly medicated vanilla, which I love, although the taste is very bitter from camphor and sunscreen. But it is smooth and creamy and a bit glossy, and slightly tingly on the lips. I try not to let my lips get chapped to the point of being raw, so when I feel dryness, pain, or roughness I slick this on right away and my lips are back to normal within an hour, which is enough for mild dryness. Keeps them from chapping as well. Very good stuff for winter!

I Love this product ! it helps my lipsticks go on flawlessly, it makes my lips ultra soft. Sometimes when my lips get dry and a little flaky it almost immediately relieves them. This is deffinetly a HG, unless i find something better for an amazing price. (doubt it) lol

doesnt work for me. Its soothing when I first put it on, yes. But once it starts to dry, my lips feel even worse than before. Not moisturizing at all.

I used this product down to the last swipe. I chose not to repurchase only because I don't like dipping my fingertips into my lip balm. It's just gross.

this is the worst lipbalm i have ever tried, i got it because of a recommendation from a make up channel. i wish i hadnt, i hate the smell, medical, like a hospital would smell. i hate the feel on my lips, drying, and i also hate the strong tingling sensation it gives. this has gone straight in the bin. i have just put my finger on what it smells of, the antiseptic cream called germolene.

Good lip balm, similar to the Lip Medex except this one has SPF. I wish this didn't have oxybenzone in it but since this would only go on lips, it's hardly a concern. The menthol and camphor made my lips feel more dry after the product wore off, so I'm not sure if I'd buy again. Still have the little jar in my bathroom drawer.

Oh yes, I would and will repurchase this product again.
I have been using Blistex for years on and off and can't find anything better. I live in a very cold climate (in Moscow) and it exacerbates a bad habit of mine - biting lips. I also work as a teacher right now, so I talk a lot and my lips dry out all the time. So, I have to carry some kind of lip conditioner with me at all times. Most of them just don't do the job and I end up having flaky dry lips. Blistex has really been my HG lip conditioner.
It has a strong minty smell, comes in a small round container (and yes, I guess it might be problematic for those of you who don't like sticking your fingers in your make-up). It is not gooey like some other products. It leaves a tingling feel on my lips that goes away 5-10 minutes later. It also helps to bring out the natural lip colour of mine. I feel that for a super natural make-up I could just stick to putting Blistex on it own.
One downside for me is that it is actually not sold in Russia, so I have to stock up every time I travel, so for me it's like a souvenir - bringing Blistex for everywhere I go :)
I have now ordered Origins Cover Your Mouth (just for the sake of variety), but not going to touch that until I run out of my Blistex Daily Conditioner.

This is one of the most nostalgic beauty products I own. Every time I pick it up I get a flashback of myself 10 years ago (when I was 13).
This balm is the only balm I've every owned that truly feels like a lip "treatment". This is the only balm I turn to in the dead of winter here in Canada because it eliminates dry flakes. The waxy coating it provides is very comfortable on the lips--not the type that slips and slides. When I say comfortable, I mean it hugs the lips. It has a simple peppermint scent that never puts me off. I think the peppermint lends a little tingly feeling that does not burn, but soothes. I don't mind that it comes in a tub, that's a part of its charm. I don't mind sticking my ring finger in to dig the product out because I use the excess on my finger to rub it on my nail cuticles. Works as well on my lips as it does for my cuticles!
One last thing, the tub may look tiny, but you get 7g of product! It literally lasts me years and doesn't go bad. I would recommend this product for anyone with serious dry chapped lips and needless to say, I will definitely repurchase this for the rest of my life.

I hope this would come in a tube packaging instead of a jar, but it's the greatest lipbalm ever. It has SPF of 20 and it works on the coldest days. I just hate sticking my finger into this to get the product. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Love. I always have one of these around and it has never failed me. I am a lip product junkie, but moreso for balms, chapsticks, and glosses, rather than actual lipstick. I only own one actual lipstick, for times when I really need to feel polished, as I'm pleased with my natural lip color. DCT is a product that I just keep coming back to, no matter how many other things I try. It goes on smoothly, has no noticeable taste, very slight tingle, and I don't have to reapply too often. I also love that it has SPF. I use DCT when my lips are normal to slightly chapped, and go to my other HG lip balm (Blistex Medicated, in the blue pot) when my lips need a little more TLC.

I love the way this feels on my lips and that it tingles. I don't like that it comes in a tub, but I make do since I love what it does. It's great that it has SPF too!

I am not crazy about it as it does an okay job at providing continuous moisture to my lips; I basically have to constantly reapply it like a junkie. That being said, even if your lips are at their absolute worst, they will be back to their natural state in first 3 hours of continuous reapplication. Not a fan of sticking my finger in the jar but I usually carry a retractable lip brush with me anyway so packaging isn't tragic. I actually enjoy the minty smell because it only smells strong in the jar and once applied, the balm barely smells like anything and tingles your lips nicely. It has a nice sheen and menthol tingling improves blood circulation in your lips and their overall appearance. I wouldn't say run and get it but if you see it on sale cheaper than it already is, pick one up for "i need soft lips now" emergencies, it will make a huge difference especially if you exfoliate prior.
*UPDATE* It really grew on me overtime and I'd love it even more if it was in a stick although I manage fairly well as is. Now that it's summer this product truly works its best by providing SPF protection to my lips and whenever I get dehydrated patches on my lips, it fixes them immediately.

I love this product. It's my HG lip balm, and I'm not even halfway through with my first tub! My mom bought this on sale for me, because I mentioned that I wanted an SPF lip balm.
At first, the packaging turned me off, but I opened it, dipped my fingers into silky softness, and fell in love. It literally melts on your fingers before you apply it to your lips. I used to always have chapped lips, because I lick my lips a whole lot and I don't drink as much water as I'm supposed to. But now, I just put on some Blistex every morning and night, and I'm good to go!
I don't know why this is so superior to other products (I've used burts bees, soft lips, smackers... none worked half as well), but the main inactive ingredient is aloe vera gel, so that might explain it.
