This is basically hair perfume. The smell of Kai is incredible from start to finish, and you can still smell it the next day. However, it is not a great shampoo. I have fine, straight hair that frizzes in humidity. My blow dryer caused so much fluff that I had to use my flat iron immediately. Then after being outside for a few hours my hair actually became wavy. I don't know what is in this stuff, but it doesn't seem to be for people who prefer a sleek look. I will try it again with my Aveda conditioner and see if I can still smell the Kai without looking like a puffball. Not worth $34 in my opinion.
