Lotions/ Creams -Mary Kay -Satin Hands Fragrance Free Hand Softener

on 9/20/2018 2:22:00 PM

The scrub is not so harsh that you even need this.

It is a synthetic wax-ester based softener. Meh.
I just use the scrub and hand cream.

I guess if you were ultra dry and in need of flaky-flaky exfoliation this could help.
It can't hurt - unscented and benign and chock full of mineral oil.

Eyeliner -Mary Kay -Gel Eyeliner in Ornate Orchid

on 9/10/2018 7:52:00 AM

This .15 ounce mini pot of gel eyeliner retails for $18 and comes with a plastic mini-brush (I use one of my eyeliner brushes instead for a thinner line). It wears well but is not truly waterproof - for me it resists water well enough but I might not choose purple eye liner for a wedding or funeral anyway (LOL). I needed a deep purple/eggplant color and this is lovely and the gel formula is super easy to apply thin or thick. HAPPY!

Moisturizers -Mary Kay -Timewise Repair Volu-Firm Night Treatment With Retinol

this is a fragrance free retinol packed in an ideal way to protect it from light and air.when i first applied it after cleansing i broke out in small bumps and avoided it for a few months.upon trying it again,i first layered my skin with simple toner, then applied homemade hyaluronic acid serum when my skin was dump to avoid pilling then applied the retinol treatment.since i have very dry cheecks i then apply cerave pm lotion.doing it this way,i wake up with smooth plump skin and makeup applies like a dream.yaay! i use the retinol treatment every other day and a little goes a long way.

Treatments (Face) -Mary Kay -TimeWise Tone-correcting Serum

My jury is still out on this 1 oz. serum from Mary Kay that I felt pressured to buy to use their Vitamin C Squares (read about those in another review). On it's own this is a light weight, synthetic yet still relatively benign serum. Too much Butylene Glycol (one step away from anti freeze). Lots of preservatives and as for results? Too early to tell. It is supposed to help skin to be more "luminous" - but there is nothing active to lighten hyperpigmentation. This you are to use for 12 weeks, so I will update after that.

This is likely a waste of cash ($45) - go to your derm or plastic surgeon and get some hydroquinone or bearberry extract if you need to lighten dark spots.

Lipstick -Mary Kay -Mary Kay® Gel Semi-Shine Lipstick

on 8/7/2018 10:26:00 AM

I have this in Raspberry Ice, Luminous Lilac and Apple Berry.
I can not believe I have bought Mary Kay products in 2018 (they still are in business?) but I met a nice rep and she got me 3 lipsticks for $36 (They are usually $18 each - so it was like buy 2 and get one free).

Luminous Lilac (a cool toned pinky-purple) is my favorite, followed by Apple Berry (a darker plum/berry/red). Raspberry ice is just ok, a boring mid-toned (slightly cool?) pink/mauve.
