From hearing great reviews on this perfume, I decided to take the chance without smelling it and let my boyfriend buy it for part of my Xmas present...This is now my signature scent. It smells like if my personality was bottled in perfume form. It is the perfect balance of classy and sexy, sweet and bitter, rich and light, glamorous, alluring and showy. I am actually in love with this fragrance …Read more

I seem to be able to tolerate this classic tuberose 15 years after I first sampled it. Not cloying or too floral. Has a hint of creaminess and muskiness. Less-than-stellar lasting power makes me take off 1 point.

when i tried a sample of this in a swap i thought wow i want a bottle. well i bought a bottle and it just doesnt impress me. i guess i dont like gardenia much. for some reason gardenia in a fragrance bores me. the lasting power was nice but other than that i was not overly impressed. i ended up giving this one away.

This is one of my all time favorites for anytime of year. Not a heady floral like Marc Jacobs or Michael Kors, much more understated to me. I can definitely smell the jasmine in it and softer notes of tuberose, 2 of my favorite scents. This is a must have for any fragrance wardrobe.

I ended up liking this scent a lot--it makes me feel more sophisticated and stylish than I actually am. My only complaint is that the scent does not last very long (I have the eau de parfum version). It just kinds of disappears. The first half hour though, is heavenly. Some of my other favorite perfumes include L'Artisan Parfumer's Tubeureuse, Comptoir Sud Pacifique's Vanille …Read more

Love the perfume..Don't waste your money on the body lotion or wash. Tho both have the scent, they are totally lacking in moisture ability and cleaning.

Oh I had wanted to like this so much. I love nostalgia. I absolutely love tuberose. But this is a bland white floral scent (yes even if it is an 'original' or a 'classic' it's still too unispiring to me to warrant the price when there are similar simple white floral scents to be bought for much much less. Much less. Buying some jasmine and gardenia oil, for instance …Read more

This is a very heavy gardenia smell, at first I couldn't quite put my finger on it, I thought it smelt odd, then I realized it smells EXACTLY like those oils you buy at Wal-Mart for $1 to burn to make your house smell good. So if you like the smell and not the price go to Wal-Mart and buy the gardenia oil for a $1, I however will pass on this scent.

I received a sample of this recently and decided to try it out. On me, this is a very warm, heady gardenia scent with tuberose being the secondary note I get out of it. It's quite sweet but definitely not in a foody or vanilla-y way---the sweetness seems to come from the florals themselves. I don't get the metallic or unpleasantly indolic notes some people seem to so I guess this …Read more
