I bought UL61 high lift Ash Brown from the "Sunkissed Caramels" line. It claims to be designed to "lighten the darkest hair". This box says it's an ash tone so I expected little to no red/orange brassiness. For starters, this did not lighten my ("virgin" aka not previously dyed or processed) dark brown hair even close to what the box depicts (I left it on for 30 …Read more

It didn't lift as much from my original hair color as I would like.

The look I was going for: Since I'm allergic to hairdye, I'm EXTREMELY careful to only balayage or ombré my hair and wanted a sun-kissed look for early fall. I have stubborn Asian black hair that hasn't been dyed or bleached in a while. If you have hair that's past your shoulders, I would …

Ok so I decided to ombre my hair with their ombre kit. My hair is black so it turned to a red orange hot mess.

After spending $100nzd on dye and toner nothing worked it just went more red and looked cheap.

I bit the bullet and tried this it is now amazing!!!! Perfect light ash brown and no orange brass.

Amazing colour!!

Packaging not so great it was …

I have always used L'Oreal Excellence in Light Brown but thought I would try the Superior. Not happy at all with results. Came out darker and duller and did not cover the grays nearly as well as the Excellence, smell is much stronger. I personally would recommend anyone with light brown hair to use the Excellence, that I love.

So happy with the result, I never wrote a review for a hair color product because I'm often disapointed with the color I get at home... But read my story, this product came out very beautiful...
So I had henna on my head since 6 years (did a henna every month) then I started to get gray hair so I wanted to bleached out my henna to get closer to my natural color: light/medium ash …

Hello I have long curly naturally medium brown hair. I had been using salon dye to get to a light brown/dark blonde color, but was not having any luck. In fact it always pulled a lot of red tones (common when trying to lighten brown hair). One night on a whim while at a target I bought a box of UL61 Hi-lift Ash Brown of L'Oreal's sun-kissed caramel line and I am never going back to the …Read more

Was not impressed. I had dyed my light brown hair to a very dark brown. I had wanted to get back to light brown so I bought a high lift brown. I left this dye on for about an hour i believe. This did not lift my hair color at all. All it did was make my hair smell like dye and dry out my ends. I ended up just using straight bleach to lighten the dark color, then tonign with a washout dye on top …Read more

***NOTE: If you previously colored your hair black or dark brown this will not lift your colored hair. To lighten previously dyed dark brown or black hair you will need to first strip the dark dye out with either a hair color remover (i.e Color Oops) or bleach.***

I wanted to take my hair lighter for the summer without having to bleach it. I purchased SUPERIOR PREFERENCE LC61 EXTRA …
