I used to use the Black Radiance Mineral Foundation as a setting powder, but it would always become oily by the end of the day which I just couldn’t stand. I didn’t even bother spending my money on the Ben Nye Banana Powder because it’s expensive and I didn’t wanna rock that chalky, ashy highlighted look under my eyes. I bought this powder in the shades Dark and Deep just to test out. The Deep shade is too orange for my complexion which I ended up getting rid of. The Dark shade is a perfect shade match and it sets my concealer flawlessly. It literally blurs out any imperfections that I have on my skin. I don’t use a brush to apply it because I find that it tends to pick up a lot of the powder since it’s finely milled. I use my beauty blender instead. It reduces the opaqueness of the powder so it’s not super cakey. My face does not get oily and it stays fresh and matte all day. I don’t even bring it to touch up which I’m amazed by because I have oily skin. It is so worth the $9 and it lasts for a pretty long time!!

I bought the True Color Maximum Coverage Foundation in the shade called Truly Topaz which matches my skin wonderfully and it does offer very full coverage without a lot of fuss and feels quite comfortable on the skin. But I don't think that I will repurchase this particular formula of foundation because I think that I may have a slight allergic reaction to it sadly. It's such a pity as well but I think that at the end of the day when I'm about to remove all of my makeup I see new spots on different areas of my face whenever I wear this formula of Black Opal's foundation as opposed to the stick foundation that I have worn that Black Opal also makes.I wear Fashion Fair in Butterscotch, Black Opal in Truly Topaz and Nars in Malaga.

I use this stick foundation in the shade called Truly Topaz and it matches my coloring exactly without looking too 'this' or too 'that'. I really do love the shade of it. The coverage is quite good and buildable and it appears to be a product you can apply quite well using a stippling brush, a Beauty Blender sponge or your fingers. It feels quite lightweight and comfortable on my face as well.As some people have been saying it does transfer a bit and if I blow my nose and wipe my nose with a tissue all of this foundation comes right off of my nose. Such a pity when the coverage of this foundation is quite buildable and workable and this particular Truly Topaz shade looks so amazing on my skin tone.I wear Fashion Fair in Butterscotch, Black Opal in Truly Topaz and Nars in Malaga.

I forgot to set it before I left for the day so it got oily fast and I have oily skin. I’m not sure if this would hold up throughout the day even if I did set it. Check out my full review here (YouTube: Mary LeMuse)

I like this more than some of my higher end foundations. Great natural skin like coverage, mousse like consistency, great staying power, photographs like a dream! I purchased truly topaz and Nutmeg. This will become a personal favorite I already know. With the use of primer and setting with powder, this stays put.
