I received a generous sample of this at Sephora, and I have mixed opinions. Usually I use Total Eye Fitness gel from Pur Minerals twice a day, but wanted to switch things up a bit and tried this. Boy am I happy I got a sample!
I do like the consistency and feel when first applied, but suddenly on my normal-skinned lids it became very sticky and began to burn a slight bit, which didn't alarm me since the weather in Philly has been a nightmare, and I though my lids were just maybe a bit dry. It smells okay enough, not medicinal but not overpowering, just eh. A little does seem to go a long way. After using the sample for about a week, I didn't see any changes that made me feel the need to run out and purchase it. Yes, my lids look and feel moisturized, but they do when I use my Pur Minerals gel, too. It just didn't blow me away, and there's plenty of other creams and gels I'd purchase before this one.

I was looking on Sephora to find a product for my dry skin around my eyes. For some reason I thought this would be a good option. However when I got it in the mail I realized it was for wrinkles. I still use it as it makes around my eyes feel smooth and wonderful. It doesn't do much for dryness (obviously). It even feels good on my lips if I can't find a lip balm near by. I really don't see any difference around my eyes, which is to be expected. Nice product, just isn't what I am looking for.

This balm didn't do anything for my eyes apart from make it look crepey and dry. Disappointing!

This is the 3rd product I use (see my other reviews) for my eyes. First is Hope in a Tube, then Eye Believe, then this one. Please know this is not an "eye cream" but a finisher of sorts. I can't say alone this will repair or prevent but when used with other products (Philosophy or not) I think its very nice.
I notice a big difference when I use this and apply concealer and when I don't. Concealer def goes on smoother with this. It will make your eye area feel like velvet and just smooths the whole area.
Like their other products...expensive, but you get what you pay for...

I absolutely love love love this eye cream. I use this underneath Hope In A Tube, and it is absolutely wonderful. Like others have said it feels like velvet when applying and it gives a subtle lift and glow. I have tried everything to get my Bobbi Brown corrector and concealer from caking or looking just horrible including the Bobbi Brown eye cream (which is wonderful for daytime but only if I have super moisterized under my eyes the night before) but these two products really do work! I am looking to get Eye Hope as well to see if that will really kick it up a notch. Thanks Philosophy!!!

I just ran out and have been debating if I should shell out the $40 (here in Canada it is way overpriced) I use it morning and night with my Neostrata eye cream which I LOVE. It seems to help the other eye cream blend better. And I noticed my skin is drier without it. I think I'm going to have to buy it again as it lasted several months so in the long run its probably not that expensive. Plus it is fragrance free which is a must for me. Also I don't have the patience to test run any more eye creams.

this is quite expensive - total waste of my money. im using clinique eye repair wear before and just tried this eye believe but this is nothing compared to cliniques. this Philosophy product didnt worked out well to me, it adds another line on my bags...i really hate it. il go back to clinique.

This is a total luxury product in my opinion - it is not meant to replace an eye cream. However, having said that - I love this stuff. It feels soooo good going on and makes your skin feel like velvet - it absorbs well and doesn't intefere with eye makeup. It does seem to give a "temporary" fix to wrinkles but nothing lasting. I apply Nars Multiple in Copacabana over it under my eyes and it gives me a nice glowy effect. I don't use it on my lips as Aquaphor seems to do the trick for me and is much cheaper. Not sure I can keep shelling out $30 on top of my eye cream money but it is a very nice product (for under the eyes).

Love this stuff! It shouldn't be worn alone because it isn't a "moisturizer", it's a balm. It leaves my skin silky smooth and ready for eye cream and concealer. I used to get concealer settling in lines under my eyes even though I'm in my 20's and have minimal signs of aging around my eyes. When I use this I get no settling of concealer and everything applies much smoother sans tugging on the delicate eye tissue. It is a bit inconvenient to use (two steps instead of one), it adds to my already too complicated routine but I BELIEVE it's worth it:)

This is a decent eye cream and feels super velvety, but I didn't see it do anything for fine lines and no brightening effect at all. I do like the tube packaging, very sanitary. Not a great product for $30.

This is an OK eye area moisturiser but certainly no miracle. It does hydrate but doesn't do anything for fine lines. I wouldn't buy this again, for that reason.

I use this first, then Hope in a tube on top. I use it on eye area then on lip area. It feels like velvet.

Great product! I use it day and night under moisturizing creams. It makes any cream perform better. Gives the skin luxurious velvety feeling.
I am very surprised about some negative reviews! You should NOT use this treatment as a moisturizer. And yes, the first ingredient is cyclopentasiloxane (silicone) that acts as a "carrier," allowing product to spread smoothly and easily, providing a silky, luxurious feel during application and it is commonly used in cosmetics. In fact almost EVERY skin care product has it under the name of Dimethicone!
But most of the active ingredients in this treatment are peptides and retinol. It is all good for your skin. Be careful though if you have an allergy to retinols.

Bought this last year together with dark shadows illuminating eye and upper lid cream last year during promotion.
The balm itself is kind of oily when put on the eye, but then it's fine after it's absorbed by the skin. The skin is really smooth after applying this. It can help a bit with the fine line at my undereye area but the line will simply reappear if I stop using this product.

I had read this was a great product, so I bought this - my very first eye creme.
After three days, there was a slight flaking below my eyes - I figured maybe I was putting on too much, and it was residual creme flaking off.
After five days, I noticed a mild burning sensation when I dabbed it below my eyes, and thought that maybe I was just getting a little too close and the product might be getting into my eyes.
On the sixth day, I put my face right up to the mirror to be extra careful my fingers weren't getting too close, or accidentally getting the product on my lower eyelashes. And then I saw it - when I applied slight pressure to pat the creme in, my skin was cut, right where the fine line under my eye was. I checked the skin below the other eye, and there was a cut there too!
Instead of moisturizing, this creme dried out my skin so much, it was cracking at the lines! I stopped using the product immediately, and my skin healed itself in a couple of days.

I was not impressed. I wanted to like this. I saw all the rave reviews and ordered it from Sephora right away. It's not a bad product but it's ridiculous to pay $30.00 for a tube of silicone. That super sleek smooth feeling is from pure silicone. It doesn't do anything long term for the skin. It's only temporary like a primer which fills in things for a short time. I prefer Isomers peptide delivery system. I wanted something super moisturizing and yet gentle for the eyes to use on top of Isomer's serums (their serums are to die for but they don't do much for moisture). This made my eyes itch a bit and it felt like all I was doing was smearing silicone under my eyes (which is pretty close to the truth). The $30.00 price tag is utterly ridiculous! It wasn't even that great of an under eye primer which I wanted it for as well. This is going back to Sephora.

Another rave review. This stuff is awesome, I get so many compliments on my skin lately and I know this is a major part of it. A little goes a long way and it has a light silky texture. It really makes a difference in removing the fine lines. Of course I wish it was a little less expensive, but if I had to choose a product to keep and skimp on the rest, this would be it! I would definitely keep this one in my routine.

Feels like silk going on, but it is more of a balm than a moisturiser. I've recently started using a different eye cream and have recently noticed how much better my eyelids are looking now (they were starting to look abit crepey). Tube is great as you just dispense the amount you need and it's really hygenic. Most eye creams give me milia on my cheeks and this is one of the few that doesn't. Even though it says 'deep wrinkle eye balm' on the tube, I think this is much better for young skin.
