Pure & Mild is a drugstore line of products formulated by Shiseido Laboratories Japan. The line is supposed to be dermalogically tested to be mild on skin. I'm in Malaysia so I'm not sure if this item is available worldwide or just here for now.

The line is divided into 2 - Moisture (pink) and Whitening/Brightening (blue).

This review is for the Moisture Cream. The cream is thick and comes in a heavy glass jar which is very luxurious for a drugstore item. The active ingredients are supposed to be extract of white lily and aloe vera. As the cream is quite thick, it does not spread easily on a dry face. I have found that it spreads better on slightly damp skin. It takes a while to absorb and does leave a bit of oily residue on the skin initially. This does not bother me, as I sleep in an air-conditioned room which is drying, and I only use this as a night cream. When I wake up, my skin does not feel dry or tight. I have been using it for 2 weeks now, and it has not broken me out yet. I got this to try as my skin was feeling dry and was breaking out. I started this the same time as the apple cider vinegar toner so I'm not sure which is working, but my skin is clearer and not as dry anymore.

The price is very reasonable at about RM31.00 for a 30ml jar and there are always discounts at Watsons or Guardian. A little goes a very long way, and I have hardly made a dent in the cream. The recommended amount is a "pearl sized amount" and there is a guide on the box flap to show you just how much you should be using. For now, I will say that this cream is a re-purchase for me. As it is formulated by Shiseido, it can't be all bad! continued >>
