This review is for the full size brush (long handle)
This is the best classic style foundation brush i've used - much softer bristles and easier to use than the others i have tried (E.L.F. studio angled, Benefit). It does make it easy to apply liquid foundation and the patting method is great to add additional coverage on top of your first layer if you need it and without streaking.
The reason for 4 lippies is that (1) its expensive.. £31? Okay i know it will last and last but come on BB? (2) I have given 5 lippies to the Real Techniques stippling brush which is better than this in my opinion. Everyone is different, but i find the real techniques brush gives me a more airbrushed finish than the BB foundation brush.
If you do prefer a classic foundation brush then this is a staple brush for you, but i will not repurchase... i will be using my Real Techniques brush instead and maybe this the odd time when i want more of a full coverage.

I bought this brush (normal length) from Nordstrom, so assume that it is genuine. It is a good brush, but I don't think it is any better than the other foundation brushes I have purchased over the years (for example MAC, Prescriptives, Lancome). They all seem to be the same, except for the handle, although the BB one is dark brown, not two tone like the others.
It is indeed soft, but by the time you finish applying your foundation, it does cluster, so you have to clean it every single time, which is annoying, especially when you are in a hurry. Nowadays you can buy more or less the same brush from any drugstore for a lot less. At $35+tax it is overpriced.

I use this brush daily to put on my moisturiser and then follow up with putting on my foundation. I find it very pleasant and easy to use (I have the longer handled one, which is only a couple inches longer, so not hugely long) and it makes quick non streaky work of my tinted moisturiser and bourjois bio detox foundation.

This is a fantastic foundation brush. The bristles are soft, and I like that it's sort of cut smaller and flatter than a lot of foundation brushes, so I get more control when applying my liquid foundation. It gets into those nose corners really well. It's very well made. I really enjoy using this to put on my liquid foundation. If it broke (which I don't think it will), I would definitely repurchase.

Favourite foundatio brush! I have the long handled one was well but I adore this short handle just because it's so easy to use with my small hands.
I bought this off of a recommended buyer on ebay as part of a mini travel set and it's fabulous!!!!
It does not shed when you wash it and it is very easy to wash. I like to tap the brush to even out my foundation if it looks streaky.
Overall, it fits into my hands so well and it's such a great travel brush as well!

I just bought the Bobbi Brown Foundation Brush (the long handle) last night. I dont know where they have the short handle but it doesnt make a difference either way. I used this brush for the first time this morning with my Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation (in Tawny) and let me say that this brush did wonders! I was using my fingers until now. Using a foundation brush is so much better!!!! I got Bobbi Brown one especially because I read all the wonderful reviews on here and also a friend told me it's better than the Lancome Foundation Brush which had also gotten good reviews on this site. I love this brush. It is sooo soft and provides flawless coverage! Not only that, it made my face smoother and softer and it made my pores a LOT less visible. I have a poreless flawless face thanks to this brush. Before when I was using fingers (i used fingers to apply Double Wear and Revlon Colorstay), my face always looked uneven and greasy and also pores were so visible. Using this brush, my face looks and feels amazing and i feel like I have no makeup on and saying that after wearing double wear says a lot about this brush! haha. It's ridiculously expensive but worth it in my opinion. The bristles are amazingly soft. So if you want your face to appear poreless and flawless and even after using liquid foundation, go get this brush!

The Bobbi Brown Foundation Brush is incredibly soft, and my foundation applies nearly streak-free. Dare I say it's even a DELIGHT to use? The handle is streamlined and comfortable to hold (which was actually noticeable to me), and it washes clean without trouble.

If you're thinking about spending the money on a quality foundation brush, this one is definitely worth the investment.

Love this brush! I use this for liquid foundations and it allows for excellent application. It stands up to daily use and cleaning. Yes I would buy this product again, but it's pretty indestructable---I probably won't need to!

First off, I bought this brush from ebay. I'm not sure if it is truly genuine but it is extremely similar to the one I saw at the Bobbi Brown counter.
This is the first flat foundation brush I have ever bought. The bristles are soft and help me to apply an even layer of foundation on my face. I'm impressed. Application takes a shorter time than with my fingers. However, the coverage it gives me is not as good as what my ELF studio powder brush gives. I like that the brush is tapered and small enough for me to reach the sides of my nose and my eye area.
I noticed that there were a few streaks when I applied foundation with this brush, although they were easily resolved when I patted them over with the brush. However, at the end of the application, the bristles separated into clusters, so I am doubtful as to whether it can give me an even application the next time I use it without washing. Given the exorbitant retail price, I expected a lot better. While this brush is good, I don't think I will buy it again. I will probably be trying out other foundation brushes such as those from Essence of Beauty.

Believe the hype surrounding this brush! It applies my foundation FLAWLESSLY! I thought I had given up hope on my Diorskin Forever foundation, but this brush miraculously gave me a natural finish on my face. I'm truly in heaven with this. $35 well spent. This brush also makes it possible to layer foundation. I can't say enough good things about it!! It also washes easily with my MAC brush cleaner. If I could have only one makeup brush in my collection this would be it! HG status right here.

I finally gave in and paid up for this very expensive brush!! (£30) It is well worht it, applies founadtion beautifully and so so easy to use. I used to use a stippling brush but this is so much better. Handle is nice to hold, and the bristles are nice and soft and apply foundation smooth and evenly. Love it!

I just decided to buy my very first foundation brush and I'm very happy that I did it! My make up look a lot more smooth and last very long. This brush is very soft and very easy to clean my Bobbi Brown SA told me just use normal shampoo to clean it once in a while.

I have the standard version. The brush is soft and well made. I've tried BeneFit foundation brush as well and BB foundation brush is thicker/fuller and easier to use and produces a better result. It's goes on more even and lasts longer without looking heavy. It doesn't streak. I love it.

I bough tthis 3 years ago and never even opened it. It came in a set of brushes that I bought and I deemed it useless. I'd been using my fingers to paply my foundation for years so I didnt know why I'd need this one. But when I tried it at home (finallyl - 3 years later!) with my Bobbi Brown Stick creme foundation I completely changed my mind. The brush made my make up look ridiculously better and more even. I mean MUCH better. I'll never apply foundation without a brush ever again. I do wish it came with a protective case/cap or something to keep it clean when traveling.

A great foundation brush! Soft, soft bristles, and it's really narrow so it's great to touch up on foundations. I don't use it to apply foundation (I use MAC 187 for that), but for the spots that miss or have less foundation, I use this brush and it does the trick so well! Blend it out with a sponge, and it looks perfect perfect.

I bought this brush several years ago and initially didn't use it very often. My previous HG foundation--Armani's Face Fabric--was easier to apply with my fingers. But my new HG is Bobbi's Skin Foundation, and now I use this brush every day. I've washed it at least once a day for the past year, and I don't think it's lost a single hair yet. I love the way this applies makeup--everything looks even and natural, with no streaks. I also use it to apply my Chanel cream bronzer, and this gives me a natural, subtle glow. I even use this brush to apply cream blushes on occasion, with success. Very glad I bought this!

This is a great brush. It looks fab, feels fab, and makes for a flawless application of foundation. I should probably say that this is my first foundation brush and that as soon as I bought it I thought "crap, I just spend 30 quid on a useless utensil. After all I've been applying foundation with my fingers for years now and it always worked just fine". But when I tried it at home the next day with my creme foundation I completely changed my mind. The brush made my make up look ridiculously better and more even. Blending with the brush helped me to avoid emphasising dry patches I usually get from rubbing the foundation on my skin. I'll never apply foundation without a brush ever again. And, what's more, I don't think this brush is too expensive if you compare its price to that of other quality brand's brushes. I just wish it came with a protective casing or something.

I don’t actually use this brush for foundation; I use it for BB’s Pot Rouge. This brush is wonderful. It’s like an oversized concealer brush head, but the bristles are softer. It picks up the perfect amount of creme blush, and I can very easily blend it onto my cheeks. It washes really easily. It is expensive, but I have no doubt I will never have to replace it. I never wear liquid foundation, but after using this brush, I can see how this would spread foundation evenly and make you look like have airbrushed skin.
||UPDATE|| After well over 5 years of using mineral or stick foundation, I have been experimenting with liquid foundation, and using this brush. It is wonderful to use. Using the brush just makes the foundation go on so smoothly and very light, which is what I want. I am so happy I purchased this, both for the use of applying the pot rouge and foundation.
