Foundations -Stila -Stay All Day Foundation & Concealer

I found this at a discount store and thought I'd give it a shot. Today was the test. Used Dr. Brandt pores no more primer. Put it on 9 hours ago, and went through the entire day with 90 degree temps, a bit of gardening etc. And it looks really good still, although maybe a touch of powder is in order. What I love is the finish; very natural, but does an amazing job on my tone and a pretty big chin blemish. It really makes my skin glow (not the sparkly twilight lumescent glow - more like a demi matte dewy - not flat like other all day foundations I've tried. No oxidation that i could see. I'm a huge fan and will be looking at this product when i run out.

Lipstick -Stila -Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick - Beso

This is a lovely red shade, and it does last pretty well, but I find the formula to be too thick for comfortable wear as well as being kinda drying. I also don't really love the packaging, as it can kind of allow the liquid to seep out. When these were first launched there weren't many really truly great liquid matte lipsticks on the market, but now everyone makes one. Today, there are much better formulas that feel better on the lips but still wear for extended periods of time.

Eye Shadow -Stila -Eyes are the Window palette - Spirit

I like this palette more or less. It has a lot of popular classic Stila shades from the 2000's that I wanted to pick up again (at half price of course) for nostalgic reasons. The formulas don't totally feel the same but that's okay because every single pan I have ever had of Kitten has fallen apart, whether in a palette or a single pan. This hasn't yet so I am happy about this. I would say the quality is slightly below the old singles. Stila has been sold a few times and dropped from Sephora, so again not surprising.

I have mixed feelings. The colors are very wearable, not particularly exciting (even for this neutral girl) but like I said, this is a best of peak 2000's Stila. (Remember when all the Charlie's Angels actresses were pushing this brand hardcore?! RIP: The ridiculously over priced lip glaze and its gross click up, un-hygenic brush tip.) This is a solid "basic" palette and if palettes were allowed to stay on shelves long enough to be repurchased anymore; this would be an amazing choice. I think the fact that there is such a high volume of releases coming at you from every angle, now buries a palette like this from a brand too old to be considered "lit."

Eyeliner -Stila -Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Damsel

I got Damsel, which is a rich and very dark brown twist up liner, in the long-gone In the Light palette. I rarely think to use it because I tend to leave it in the palette rather than mixing it in with the chaotic mish-mash of my other pencil liners. But when I do use it, I'm impressed by how smooth and creamy it has remained after all these years (can't say that about Marc Jacobs liners, which lose their smooth application within a year). I do find it a bit harsh looking when first applied, though, and I have to smudge it out with a stubby-headed smudge brush. And I know these ARE named "Smudge Sticks" so I don't mind that too much but what I do find is that this particular shade does also smudge throughout the day and so I have to check a few times to make sure I don't have smears elsewhere on my face. If I set it with brown shadow, that seems to help. Not a dreadful product but not the best either, however the good points do outweight the bad.

I absolutely love this! I love how quick and easy it makes application, no constantly re-dipping into a pot after it's been on my eyes. It's easy to remove at the end of the day, but I have no problems getting the wear to last for a great deal of time.
