I was looking for boots rose water toner but ended up with this instead. This is only $2.50 at target so it wasn't such a loss. Upon application it burns and it feels sticky. I should have read ingredient list more thoroughly. Clear packaging too.
I feel like maybe it's too soon to write a review, but I can always update this later. I've been using this for 2 weeks, and WOW! note: I use this in combination with the acnedote face wash. I feel like you need both of them to get good results. (I also wrote a full review of the Acne Dote Deep Pore Wash if you're interested.)
Regarding the texture of this: it contains aloe and glycerin very high on the ingredients list, so that may be why it feels a little sticky. Personally for me, I think this feeling goes away after I've applied my moisturizer, so it doesn't bother me. Aloe and glycerin help keep my skin from overdrying after using the face wash. This toner also contains tons of other soothing ingredients, which I appreciate since I have sensitive skin.
It feels refreshing the only thing I liked. Left a sticky residue I don't know how some people said it doesn't leave a residue but everytime I used it my face felt sticky. I believe it gave me more blackheads. Stopped using it. The smell is of straight rubbing alcohol.
Used this for 2 weeks and have to give it up. The first week I used it on my face and It caused dryness and irritation and made my clogged pores worse. The second week I used it on my chest only and still no results. It does contain alcohol which is not typically an issue for me, particularly on my chest, but I suspect that's what to blame for the irritation here.
I love this product! I have been using it faithfully since 1/1, and it has really helped with reducing my acne breakouts. I still get them, but not as often, and they go away MUCH faster than before I started using this. I do wish it came in a more sanitary container, but that will not stop me from purchasing it again.
I really wanted to like this product but I just don't. I usually love Alba Bontanica's products so this was a surprise. However, even after using it for a couple of months I was still getting break-outs with white and black heads. It's not the Deep Cleaning Astringent that works for my skin. I much prefer the Biore Triple Action Astringent that I've been using recently. It has helped clear my skin up much faster.
Love this stuff. My skin has been much clearer since using. Has a bit of an alcohol smell to it, but it doesn't bother me too much. Have noticed reduced blackheads and whiteheads and my skin seems less oily thoughout the day.
I've been having bad, hormonal breakouts (and I'm not a teenager!). I thought I'd try something stronger than my usual witch hazel. I liked the natural ingredients in it too. I've been using it for four days now and I can see a big improvement. I will definitely stick with this when my skin needs some TLC.

Recommended anybody who suffer with acne.
This is a great astringent, but It doesn't dramatically work for acne. But it is effective for clogged pores. You've gotta be careful if you have a sensitive skin. This may cause redness on your face, so use small amount with a cotton ball.
In comparison with other drugstore's products such as clean&clear astringent or neutrogena pore refining toner, this includes better and effective ingredients.
