Pretty poor product that I got sold by the SA at the counter. Doesn't do any form of moisturizing and I feel my skin dry up within an hour. Try samples before purchasing!

I got this stuff as a sample; it does what it says - moisturizes and evens skin tone. However, it has some issues.
PROS:
Did not make me break out
Good SPF
Reduced the appearance of freckles and acne scars
CONS:
Smells like SPF
Super heavy, borderline greasy
Comes in a tub you have to dip your hand in, which is messy and unsanitary
I was never a fan of Clinique - for some reason I associate them with pre-teen girls and older conservative housewives. The color palettes are bland and too tame, the packaging is boring and the products smell medicinal. However, within the past year I've been dealing with sudden bouts of acne and it's left some dark spots and unevenness that I want to fix so I was excited when I got this sample. After my acne skincare regimen my face is dry and tight and this stuff moisturized well, but maybe a little too well. I looked shiny and felt greasy, but weirdly enough it didn't make my acne worse. Still, so heavy. I also feel like it's gross to jam my fingers into the jar, all the germs just sit there in the jar waiting for me to dip in and smear them all over my just-cleaned face.
The formula did even out my skin, so I decided to buy the sister product, Clinique's Even Better SPF 20 LOTION. The lotion is different from the moisturizer in that it comes in a pump-bottle so you squirt out what you need without your fingers contaminating the jar, and it is MUCH lighter than the super-heavy moisturizer. I'm really pleased with the lotion, but I wouldn't buy the moisturizer, it's too heavy.

I have been using this product for about 8 months now and love it!! Originally picked it up cheap when warehouse shopping And as my skin had been breaking out and I have freckles all over it too i was keen to try anything.. I never thought it could work on both. First application felt ok, smell was weird but I'm used to it now and to me it doesn't smell anymore. I only use this product in the day under my make but it helps in keeping it smooth as well, within 2 weeks it had completely cleared my skin of all break outs. I still have freckles but they have lightened and I feel I don't need as much make up now (but still cake it on out of habit) I will continue to use this product and have recently tried the serum but am yet to see results after 3 weeks, I'll keep you posted on that. As with anything in a jar it's sometimes difficult to get the product out cleanly and a pump would make this more convenient.

To me, this product is just ok. I got it as part of the free gift that came with my purchase, and I've been using it off and on for a few months. It doesn't seem to break me out, but it's a bit to rich for my skin, which is a little on the oily side. I haven't noticed any change whatsoever in my skin tone. Overall: a decent moisturizer, but I definitely wouldn't buy it.

I've used this product consistently for over a year now (I've never thought it was a particularly great moisturiser, but I've always been a very loyal Clinique girl ever since they caught me young - aged 13 via a Teen Vogue ad. The reason I stuck with it so long is partially due to my aforementioned faithfulness to the brand, and partially because I'm a sucker for any brand with the sort of status Clinique holds marketing a product in such a way that it pretty much describes the condition of my skin and promises to remedy it. I have hyperpigmentation (albeit mild-moderate, since it's years old) thanks to a three year bout of acne that ended a couple years ago.
To cut to the chase:
My hyperpigmentation has faded whilst using this product, as has my skin's tendency to go red whenever it so pleases, but whether that's due to the moisturiser or just the amount of time that's elapsed since I started using it, I don't know. There are probably better products out there that address the same issues this one does, and I intend to find them. It goes on pretty weird; it has a standard texture but it just feels weird on my skin, I don't know how to put it. It doesn't do a great job on evenly moisturising my skin, and it leaves a greasy residue. I'm mildly prone to acne and it's never once made me break out, though, if that counts for anything. It also has that standard Clinique medicinal smell, which I happen to like, but that I appreciate isn't wildly popular.

I won this product together with the serum. Must say that as a moisturizer it is quite nice. It is a bit too rich for my young, acné prone/combination skin, but I do use it every time I come out of the shower when my skin screams for some hydrating cream. Doesn't cause breakouts, but I do notice a slight increase in sebum production when I use it. I put it on every second day (shower day) for the last couple of months. I did think it slightly improved my skin tone, but nothing major. Don't expect a miracle, but if you're looking for a nice moisturizer that slowly might improve your skin tone, this could be it! It is too pricy for me (unemployed, just graduated student), so I will not purchase it again when it runs out. In addition, I don't think this is what my skin needs. Wish I could give it 3.5 - as it's a good moisturizer but it mainly promises to even skin tone which it doesn't do as convincingly - at least not for me!

I am really pleased with this product! My girlfriend gave it to me as a sample and I was skeptical at first. I haven't used Clinique products much, but this one is definitely good for me. It has a mattifying quality, and not too moisturizing for sensitive/oily skin. I do feel like it took away a bit of my face's imperfections. Didn't make me break out, which is an important factor. Good moisturizer.

This product is wonderful. I love that it has SPF 20. Although it is an expensive buy at $50.00 Can. it does last a very long time as you don't need much to cover your whole face.
I have lots of red skin discolouration around my mouth and chin from old zits and acne. I find it really, really helps with this over time. On most days I don't wear any kind of skin evening make-up at all, because my moisturiser does it for me!
I have problems with combination-oily skin and I do find that it doesn't mattify my skin enough. However, the Clinique woman at the store told me that they are coming out with a 'light' version in Spring 2012 which should improve that issue!

I wanted to try a moisturiser that didn't make me break out and made my skin glowing, and of course, get rid of acne scars.
I haven't been using the product long enough to say if my acne scars are treated by this but overall this product is awesome.
Pros:
>Doesn't break me out
>Moisturizes my dry skin
>Makes my skin glowy (it has vitamin c in it which is naturally suppose to make your skin look glowing)
>Ace scars seem to be slightly less visible, but its only been a week of use
Cons:
>Expensive continued >>

This is a sunscreen, nothing more nothing less. It doesn't "correct" anything. The same sun spot I've had greets me every morning, hasn't faded, bold as ever. And if you use it be prepared to powder your face afterwards unless you like out shining the sun.

I have oily skin and this does not leave me greasy at all. I'm confused by the other reviews saying it's greasy. I like that it absorbs quickly and invisibly and it is good for my skin and even-ing it at the same time.

Smells like sunscreen and feels greasy on the skin. This caused breakouts on my combination skin. I don't think it has enough percentage of active ingredients to do anything anyways.

Yup this stuff is a greasy mess. It breaks down my makeup in no time. Most people that need to fade marks are usually the post acne marks, so post acne individually usually have normal to oily skin. How would this product be part of a regimen if this is a sweaty mess.

UPDATE: WOULD NOT CONSIDER DUE TO ANIMAL TESTING FOR CHINESE MARKET 17/02/2012 Yuk! This moisturizer feels & smells like sunscreen. Thick, it's greaseball city. I have combination skin and even on my cheaks it feels way too heavy. Used it for 2 weeks and will have to stop since I believe I'm starting to break out from it. I'll be using it on my décolleté. continued >>

I love the texture, the way it absorbs, and the fact that it has no smell. I didn't use it long enough to see if it helped with my melasma... unfortunately, this broke me out pretty bad. I took a break from it to let my face heal. I went back to it, really really hoping it would work out and I broke out all over again. I'm so bummed.

I love this product! Usually i break out from moisturizers due to my oily, acne prone skin, but this product helped me even out the texture of my skin. Gradually my scars were also less noticable after about a month of using it. Generally, I love Clinique products because they work for my skin. I apply this on top of my dramatically different gel, and at first, it might feel a little heavy, but after it sets, its not that bad. This also works well underneath my makeup too. I originally used the sample size, and it was enough to last me over a month. I will definitely purchase this again. Even though its a little pricey, its really worth it!

I'm now on my second tub of this product. I haven't seen any dramatic results while using it, but I like it because it does not irritate my dry, sensitive skin, contains SPF 20, and does not clog my pores. I feel like it made some minor improvements to the dark spots that I have from past acne, which is why I bought it a second time. It is a good morning moisturizer because of the SPF, and apparently is meant to work over the long term. However, if I still don't see any marked changes in my skin after I finish this second tub, I will not buy it again.

I used this product while on Accutane so my skin was dry and sensitive at the time. PLUS, I had horrible dark acne scarring from a years worth of break outs. I'm of Indian heritage (India...not aboriginal lol) so I have fair brown skin but due to hyper-pigmentation my scars were dark. It's been a few months now and my skin is completely clear and free of scarring. I thought it was maybe due to the Accutane, but a girlfriend of mine (also Indian with much lighter skin) also was on the medication but her scarring remained. I'm almost done my jar and it's definitely worth the $50 (canadian). It's lasted me months.
For people complaining that it's too greasy, it's probably just the amount you're using. If you use less you'll get more of a matte finish.

I love this moisturizer! It made my skin on the face whiter in just 7 days. And it continues to look even lighter. It also comes with SPF 20- how awesome is that? This product is so gentle with my sensitive skin. This is now one of my must-haves! I would recommend it to anyone who wants to have fairer skin. This product works!
