I have an oily face and prone to breaking out. This clogged my pores very badly and got a lot of bumps and black heads. I was thinking it might have been the other products on my face that I put, but this sunscreen will stay on my face for hours and wont get absorbed in my skin compared to my moisturizer and vitamin c serums that sink in within 15 minutes.
If you're face can handle a greasy, sticky suncreen then this is really good. It has no white cast. But stay away if you're prone to black heads and pimples.

Expensive for what you get. I got the spray on kind and it didn't even last 2 weeks at the beach, on the bright side I never got sunburned!

I've tried to use this product a few times. Each time, without fail I end up with a pizza face. Severe pimple breakout and I wash and rinse my face thoroughly. After I've been sweating a while, it makes my face itch terribly and then a rash develops with pimples being the last of the symptoms. This product is going in the trash.

This sunscreen is not bad. I didn't experience any "sweating" or "running," so in that way it does what it claims. But it is VERY drying, if I put it on without moisturizer my skin feels extremely tight and unpleasant. But if you mix it with a bit of moisturizer it balances out. I haven't had any negative reactions, but keep it far away from your eyes! It stings!

Packaging is good, and I got it on a great sale at CVS. I bought the kind specifically for the face. However, this is breaking me out like crazy, even on my chest. My chest NEVER breaks out. Non Comedogenic my dying ass.
I continue the search for a sunscreen with more than SPF 30 for my face. For SPF 30, I've been using Eucerin Extra Protective Moisture Lotion for years, and I always go back to it.

I have tried so many sunscreens that claim to be non-comedogenic and will not clog pores. This sunscreen wreaked HAVOC on my t-zone oily combination skin. It took three weeks to clear up my clogged pores and little red bumps. So disappointing. Note, that i didnt break out immediately. It took about 9 days before it did so it wasn't an allergic reaction.

I find this to be the best sunscreen out there for me (can't tolerate sticky, greasy, slimy products . My last sunscreen was Coppertone Nutrashield, but as soon as it got warm it turned into axel grease. This has a bit of shine when applied, but my Erno Laszlo water based foundation and loose powder takes care of that. Today was hot and super humid and my face wasn't much oilier than without sun screen.
I found two things that help with a sunscreen like this (silica based and waterproof):
1. let it sit for at least 5 minutes until you put makeup on
2. use an oil based makeup remover (such as one for long wear or waterproof makeup) before you use your regular cleanser. A lot of sunscreen breakouts are caused by not removing all the sunscreen. I thought this was unneccesary until I started using Laszlo with the oil followed by soap and what a difference!

HUGE RAVE for Neutrogena Ultimate Sport SPF 70+. Was out in the sun 4.5 hours and I did not get darker nor sunburned. Also, the texture is very very smooth and not heavy or sticky at all. There is no noticeable scent. I love it a lot! I no longer like the Neutrogena Pure & Free Baby SPF 60 because that goes on thick and sticky.

This is a facial sunscreen, it is "chemical".

Wow, I was pleasantly surprised by this sunscreen. I haven't found a Neutrogena sunscreen I liked until now. I put on 1/4 tsp and it is not whitening and it dries nearly matte and smooth. (I am NC35ish now). It is also very non-irritating, which is typically for me with "chemical" sunscreens. It is a creamy white lotion, and didn't make me oily, but it didn't particularly moisturise either. I have pretty normal to combo skin.

I haven't had any issues with breakouts, but I rarely do, so I guess I can't really comment on that. As for the waterproof/sweatproof, i can't comment on that yet either since its been rather cool where i am.

Pretty neutral smell, but has hints of the scent that I associate with neutrogena sunscreens. All in all, its a great sunscreen, though for me personally, it has a few more chemicals than I like. I would still use this on beach days or high sun days, though, particularly due to its wearability and supposed high PPD.

One note, its offical name seems to be Neutrogena Ultimate Sport Face Sunblock Lotion, SPF 70, but the package only says "Neutrogena Sport Face Sunblock Lotion, SPF 70+"

I've given up trying chemical sunscreen on my face so this review pertains to how well it performed on my body:
waterproof/sweatproof: although marketed as a sport susncreen, this is definitely not something I would use when working out/running outdoors -- halfway into my run I noticed the product had run and creased into my inner elbows due to sweat
moisturizing ability: this is where this product excels over Aveeno and other Neutrogena sunscreens -- most other sunscreens end up making my skin feeling and looking dry regardless of reapplication; however, applying this sunscreen felt as if I was applying a regular, non-sunscreen moisturizer and my skin looked better hydrated after application
slip: this applies more easily like a moisturizer compared to other chemical and physical sunscreens
bottom line: if this just performed better during physical activities, this would have been my HG sunscreen for the body, but as a daily regular moisturizing sunscreen for the body, this is definitely a favorite by far (compared to other Neutrogena DT/Age Shield, BullFrog, Banana Boat Sport, Coppertone Sport, Avene, LRP sunscreens) *sigh*

Wish I could be as excited as everyone else but this sunscreen was too heavy and my face felt suffocated after application. My face broke out shortly thereafter so I will not be repurchasing.

This review is for the FaceSport SPF 70+. I love this sunscreen! I have tried all kinds (Bullfrog, Shisiedo, Skinceuticals) and this one wins. I have never had a sunscreen stay on so well and make my skin feel so nice. My skin felt smooth and soft after using this sunscreen! I use high SPF due to some melasma on my face. This protected me from getting splotchier during a 5 hour day at the beach. Of course, I reapplied a couple of times, but that was the best part--it didn't sting upon reapplication! Very good for my sensitive skin. I haven't tried this sunscreen under makeup, nor do I really intend to. This is my HG beach/outdoor sunscreen and I'll keep using Paula's Choice Weightless under makeup.

Edited to add that I use the regular (large size) Sport spf 70.
This sunscreen came out a little while back around the same time as Neutrogena's physical ones, so I guess I kinda forgot about/ignored it. Well, while on vacation this past week I picked this up for my family and myself and I'm SO glad I did! It has FAR SURPASSED any expectations I had for it.
The previous reviewer is right on about the scent of this s/s....it is very clean and unisex....kind of like a soft, fresh unisex cologne and I absolutely adore it! The scent makes it pleasant to apply imo. Also, it goes on smoothly with NO irritation, which is a miracle for me. I'm fair and prone to redness AND I'm on Tazorac. Most chemical sunscreens burn and irritate me immediately, but not this one. I think the most amazing thing about this s/s is that my face looks *better* with it on---more smooth and even toned. I've never had this experience with ANY s/s.
I would highly recommend this s/s to anyone who is looking for a drugstore s/s with a high(ish) ppd. Give it a try and you'll be pleasantly suprised just as I was. :)

This product really deserves a 3.5 I used it daily for a week. Here is what I think:
Pros-stable, very good uva protection (est 16-24 ppd). No white cast. Very little irritation, in sharp contrast to most of this manufacturer's other sunscreens. Maybe they took out all the irritating fragrances and soy junk since it is more unisex-marketed? Perhaps. It has a faintly unisex-colognish scent to me. But the only time I ever experienced irritation from this was after exfoliating, and the stinging was transient, completely disappearing after 10 minutes. IF I measured out exactly 1/4 tsp and used only that much, this dried to a nearly matte finish-most of the time. No streaking, pilling, or balling up either.
Cons: If I applied more than a measured 1/4 tsp, this became very greasy. It also tended to look greasier on more humid days. It was not an easily powderable greasiness either...and believe me I tried! It also should be noted that not only is this NOT water proof, as it claims to be, it is VERY easily removed with just a splash of water. Thus, if you get caught in the rain with this on, or sweat....be prepared for it to run all over the place...and it will sting your eyes when it does (like every other sunscreen out there would). And lastly, this product apparently contains Neutrogena's patented zit-fertilizing sunscreen complex, since I wound up with a whopper on my chin at the end of the week.
Bottom line: OK for occasional use. Will mostly save for body use though.
