The name is very deceiving. I do not find it anywhere close to a mauve whatsoever. I'd say it's a super shimmery silver purple. I get some fallout and I have no issues with wear but it's just not for me anymore. I like the sleek square packaging and you can see what color your grabbing without turning it over to see the name on the back. This shadow is quite pricey for me for a single shadow but with that said it did last me quite some time. I would not repurchase.
This eye shadow makes my hazel eyes look super green. At first I was unsure if I was going to like it, but as the day wore on, I kept looking at my "green" eyes in the mirror.... I would describe the color as a shimmering lilac taupe. Has great staying power; I just dusted a powder foundation on my eyes beforehand, and this stayed on a good while. The only slight issue with wearing a color like this on my super pale skin is that I have to be careful about blush and lip colors, or it will really throw the look off....

Heather Mauve Shimmerwash is not a color that I would have been attracted to in the pan, but I happened to be swiping one of the displays at Sephora, and noticed that this swatched completely different than it looks.
In the pan, it looks like a khaki wheat color with some shimmer... basically, very blah. However, on my skin (light golden tone), the mauve undertones really pick up, and there is a gray-purple tone to it that really complements my dark brown eyes. It's pretty much the most perfect taupe for me to do a wash all over the lid. Today, I am wearing it with a lot of black pencil eyeliner, and it really brings out my eyes without looking over-the-top. It is very work-appropriate while still being unique. I am also going to try it with my Black Mauve shimmer ink gel eyeliner, as I think those will be quite complementary.
I would highly recommend this to anyone with neutral-to-golden complexions, and green, brown, or hazel eyes. continued >>

A "dirty" shimmery silver which is ok as a lid colour but just that. In order for it to look good with blue eyes it has to be anchored with a navy or plum in the crease or at the outer corner. It also needs a cool eyeliner because brown just makes it muddy. Not the best of what I have experienced with BB shadows.
I'm NC30 Asian w/yellow undertones. This is a neutral taupe/grey/slight purple color-similiar to Ulta Mystique and Cargo yukon. Doesn't crease, long wearing, and smooth application, but need to swipe brush a few times to get color payoff but very subtle on skintone. Prefer more color.
Maybe purchase again if Fawn and Stone don't work out. hm...thinking of going back to Cargo Yukon.
Usually, I don't buy eyeshadow singles because I prefer the versatility of a palette but this is the exception. I got this because it's similar the the color I use most often in the Dior Seduction Drama palette. This is like an exact match. It's a very flattering shimmery brownish gray. It's a sexy color that can achieve different looks on its own. When I apply all over the lids, it can create a smokey eyes. But for casual days, I just apply up to the crease. It's very flattering for my medium warm complexion and makes my brown eyes pop. The texture is also easy to apply. Will definitely repurchase.
I love this shadow, its similar to Stila Diamond Lil but less metallic, shiny and shimmery. Its easier to wear in general, has a touch of brown grey. I would love to find a matte version of this color.

I have this as part of the Basics palette. I've no idea why they've called it Heather Mauve, because it's neither heather, nor mauve - no purple in it whatsoever. It's taupe (mixture of grey and brown). For me it has too little pigment and too much (or too large) shimmer. It's not terrible but not that great either. I prefer to put it on wet for a bit more impact. I was hoping for a shade with a subtle hint of purple to enhance my green eyes, and this is not it. I'm sure I will use it as part of the palette, but also glad I did not pay to get this individually. Would not buy again.
I love it. It is greyish taupe. It is in cool side with more grey than brown. The shimmer is beautiful. Good quality, Very smooth. Love it.

No, this shadow is not anywhere near the realm of mauve. There is a slight hint of purple to it, but not much. Misleading name aside, this shadow is gorgeous. It's the perfect grey. Many shadows called grey are really silver, but this one is not silver at all. The color is almost impossible to describe. I apply the shadow with a damp brush and it goes on the lid very nicely, no fall out. The pigmentation on this shadow isn't really sheer, as the name shimmer wash would lead you to believe. I think that the pigmentation is more on par with Bobbi Brown's metallic shadows. The name may be all wrong, but the shadow is all kinds of right!
