Too Faced

Too Faced Cosmetics was founded in the US in 1998, by Jerrod Blandino and Jeremy Johnson. (Blandino had worked at Estee Lauder makeup counters in the mid-90's.)That same year the company created the "world's first glitter eyeshadow." Known for its innovative style and intricately detailed products, the brand grew quickly and was eventually acquired by Estée Lauder in 2016.

Primer/ Corrector -Too Faced -Hangover Rx Replenishing Face Primer

I like this primer - primers all vary depending on your need and requirement. If you're looking for a moisturising and hydrating primer then this is a good option. It's a cheaper version of the Marc Jacobs one and does a good job of giving you a dewy look to your skin. I don't usually buy hydrating primers as I have felt they are just an expensive moisturiser. But this primer gives my foundation more staying power. Worth the price.

Palettes -Too Faced -Just Peachy Velvet Matte Eye Shadow Palette

I absolutely love this palette and I honestly use it almost everyday. I'm usually not really an all matte palette person. I tend to stick with a mixture of mattes and shimmers. This palette is an exception to that rule. I just love the color selection and the fact that there's no black!! I can honestly say I use every shade in this palette regularly. They are blendable, easy to work with and very pigmented. They are slightly powdery but this can be easily remedied by tapping your brush off before applying. This is hands down one of my top 5!!

Foundations -Too Faced -Born This Way Foundation

This felt really good on winter dry skin but I tried 3 colors and they all were so yellow toned. I tried online first and then went into Ulta to get matched. Even with the professional matching the color oxidized on me to an orangish color. It was slight but enough that I looked jaundiced. SA gave me warm nude. I'm NC 20 in MAC. This has a lovely finish, covers imperfections well giving medium to full coverage, and lasts all day. It does transfer to phone and coat collars. Since the color wasn't right I had to give up on it. I'll have to keep looking for a foundation for my dry skin.

Mascara -Too Faced -Better Than Sex Mascara

on 2/12/2018 10:12:00 PM

Over the years I've come to a conclusion that the only mascaras that will make my stubborn, super straight eyelashes hold a curl comes in waterproof or tubing formulas. But because of the hype around this mascara and my constant curiosity for trying new products, I got a sample to try and went in knowing that this mascara was not waterproof or tubing. I always curl my eyelashes with a curler beforehand, by the way.

Formula-wise, this is quite a wet and extremely clumpy mascara (it's a nice black colour though). The horrendously gigantic, hourglass-shaped wand did not help with the application - the slimmest middle section of the wand deposited blobs of mascara onto my long but sparse lashes, clumping them together. What a disaster. I had to go through my lashes with a clean mascara wand to make them look somewhat presentable. Also, this doesn't really hold a curl. My lashes end up somewhat pointing upwards, but straightened out (because of the mascara) and only curled at the roots (probably due to the eyelash curler) instead of nicely curled throughout.

Overall I would not recommend. I can see why this is a holy grail mascara for so many other people, but not for me. If you were blessed with non-fussy lashes that are fairly easy to work with, this will probably work for you.
