BB Cream -Skin79 -Golden Snail Intensive BB Cream

If there's a better BB cream for me out there, I don't know what it is.

Skin79's Golden Snail Intensive BB Cream is perfect and a little goes a long way. Comes in a cute little bottle, has a pump for easy and hygienic use, applies and spreads well, and the white cast fades as it melts into your skin. SPF 50, which is great for those of us who use retinoids or acids, no strange smells or consistency, and no greasy feeling that often accompanies "sunblock included" products.

I don't even need a primer with this. It covers brilliantly, evens out redness, takes to concealer when applied in spots, not irritating and it lasts for 8-10 hours. Maybe longer, but I've never needed it to last longer than that. Plays well with other cosmetics. No interactions. Dries to a slight matte finish. Never cakey. Doesn't fall into lines. Natural looking and feeling, and removes easily with Sensibio Micellar Water.

This is not a sheer or watery American-style BB cream, often akin to some tinted moisturizer. This has the coverage of a thin coat of pan stick but without the weight or feel. Skin79 is not messing around here and if you want a serious BB cream that's absolutely lovely, this might work for you, too. While it doesn't sing and it won't cook you breakfast, seriously, what more could you possibly want?

1) If you are darker than fair/medium, as with most Asian creams made for lighter skin, this may not be the best option for you. For me, it's perfect as it adjusts to a slight tan or paler winter tone, so I can use this any time of year. Tip: If you're a neutral like me, you're going to love this; it pulls neither yellow nor pink, just looks neutral!

2) Rip-offs are big business, fakes are everywhere and all things considered, it's not worth the risk to your face or your health. It's not that expensive, especially when compared to products at Sephora, so I highly recommend only purchasing this product from an authorized Skin79 dealer. (I get mine from YesStyle for a little over 25 USD with fairly fast shipping and no customs issues.)

BB Cream -Skin79 -The Oriental Gold BB Cream Plus

I’ve bought the tube version of this multiple times. It’s a great product. I can use it as foundation, sun protection and moisturiser in one. I have very dry skin, so I prefer to have a little bit of moisturiser underneath, then put this on and powder it. I’ve found it’s great for dry skin - doesn’t cling to dry patches or emphasise texture at all. While moisturising, it does follow the trend of being dewy. I powder well but still have to blot throughout the day as someone with dry skin. It can also transfer. It’s just definitely not for someone looking for a long lasting matte foundation. It does take well to powder though and won’t look cakey even if heavily baking, it blots well without separating or caking, it also doesn’t crease, settle into lines or pores, or wear off patchy.

It’s got quite good coverage. I have a lot of red blemishes/scarring left over from years of quite severe acne. While it doesn’t completely cover it (nothing does), it certainly makes it less noticable and covers redness and unevenness in my skin giving a smooth even appearance.

I’m about an nc10 in Mac Studio Fix Fluid. If you’re over an nc25 I’d suggest looking elsewhere for a colour match, but Korean B.B. creams tend to match quite a range of skin tones with limited shades. Not sure how it works, but it seems to. I blend this one down the neck a bit and the shade is ok for me. It may be a little darker than 13 in missha perfect cover, but much less grey. It’s been a while since I’ve had that one so I’m not too sure. it’s probably about a shade 21. Again though, it’s not a grey colour. It’s not an orange colour either though - more a skin beige. Perhaps that’s how it matches many skin tones?

Sunscreen -Skin79 -Water Wrapping Non-chemical Sunblock SPF 50+ PA++++

This is an excellent physical sunblock cream that works very well for the face. I've been wearing it daily for over a month and a half now. It does not break me out or bother my skin in any way, which chemical sunblocks tend to do, and it plays well with make-up, too. My skin is combination/dehydrated with hormonal acne.

It has a slightly odd texture for a sunscreen that feels heavily silicone-based to me, but not like a silicone primer, and when first applied gives the slight white cast that physical sunblocks always have. It disappears fast on me, and the product is easy to spread and blend into the skin, even when using the generous teaspoon amount needed to give proper sun protection. It's worth noting that I have quite pale skin, though, about a MAC NC 15-20, so the white cast may be more of a problem for other skin tones. When it absorbs into the skin it kind of turns into this strange, almost water-repellent surface on the skin, which sounds off-putting, but isn't to me, at least. It does absorb quite fast and doesn't leave any stickiness on the skin, just that sort of soft, velvety texture that silicone-based primers sometimes produce. I wear a water-based face tint over it most days, the Pixi H2O Skin Tint, which shouldn't work in theory but actually does, quite well.

The product is part of Skin79's Water Wrapping series, which supposedly uses a technology that keeps the skin hydrated. I do find this moisturising enough to use on it's own, but not heavy. Dry skin may need to add a moisturiser underneath.

Packaging is great, a standard white 50 ml squeeze tube with a nice, pleasing minimalist design. I'm almost through my first tube and have already bought two back-ups. Will keep repurchasing, for sure.

BB Cream -Skin79 -Super Plus Beblesh Balm Triple Functions - VIP Gold

on 5/30/2018 2:31:00 AM

This BB cream was great value because I snatched it up half price on the koreadepart website. I've tried the skin79 orange bb cream and the skin79 green bb cream as well, so I wanted to see how this one would compare in terms of colour and performance (I found the green one much too pink/white, and didn't provide as much coverage as I wanted, while the orange one ended up too yellow for my skin tone).

To me this BB cream was fairly thick and smelled and felt like sunscreen. I like the fleshy beige tone, which blends in nicely to cover the redness on my cheeks and nose. It doesn't seem to provide quite as thick coverage as the Skin79's orange BB cream, and it is only SPF 30+ so I would use this for a day when I'm mostly indoors. I only need a dusting of powder over the top - no blush, no bronzer - to produce a nice minimal daytime make up look.

After a couple of hours on a warm humid day it looks quite dewy or even shiny, so blotting or more powder is needed. I don't have any bad reactions or breakouts to this BB cream, and the colour is quite good so I still like it.

I'll work my way through this bottle, but I won't be repurchasing just because it doesn't do the job (in terms of feel, colour and longevity) as well as the BB cream I'm currently using.
