Concealers -Jane Iredale -Disappear

I love Jane Iredale products, but this is a total miss. It is a horrible glue like texture that does not blend or conceal. It certainly doesn't "disappear" in fact it makes imperfections look worse.

BB Cream -Jane Iredale -Glow Time BB Cream

This stuff is perfect well worth the bucks. Not only did it last through the day, my skin didn’t feel dirty, sticky and uncomfortable unlike after applying normal B.B. cream and foundation. I set it with a mineral powder and it stayed on everywhere but my chin, which is understandable because I suffer rosacea and hormonal acne there. I struggle to keep makeup on my face and it’s hard to run to the toilet at work every hour to top up and conceal all my blemishes. Until I bought this, life changed.
Not incredibly keen on the bottle but could be worse, at least it is light weight and easy to carry in your bag or keep in your car.

Powder -Jane Iredale -Pure Pressed Base

Jane Iredale's pressed foundation is my go-to when I am in a hurry, since the application is very easy. I use the color Bisque. My skin is very fair with neutral to slightly warm undertones (I have some yellow in my skin but can also look ashen).

The foundation is buildable, so if you need more coverage, you will want to do a few thin layers, setting each layer with a setting spray. I use the Jane Iredale Pommisst, which is expensive but does an amazing job. I find that a little goes a long way with both the foundation and the setting spray. I have used the Pommisst as a makeup setting spray after finishing my makeup, and it performs well. It leaves a dewy finish.

I have found that the foundation can leave a cakey, dry look if it is not set with some kind of spray. Also, I have recently discovered that if you moisturize your face first (I don't use a primer), the foundation looks so much better. My face looks amazing if I moisturize first and then use the pressed foundation followed by the Pommisst.

I apply the foundation with a dense, flat-top brush, in downward strokes. I tried using the flat compact pouf thing, but that made the foundation look awful.

My skin is normal to dry, but I think this foundation would be excellent for oily skin types. I especially like using it in the summer, when I will be sweating, because I dislike using liquid foundations in the summer.

I wasn't a fan of the packaging. You are supposed to buy a separate compact to house the pan of foundation. The salesperson told me that you don't need the compact, but the plastic casing that houses the pan of foundation is quite large and does not fit well in my makeup bag. So I ended up having to purchase the compact. Also, the price is high. But a little goes a long way, so you do get what you pay for.

I love the fact that this has a decent SPF (I think 20?). No, it's not enough to rely on by itself, but I feel much better knowing that I have extra sun protection on top of my sunscreen.

Blush -Jane Iredale -PurePressed Blush

I have one particular blush from J.I. that is one of my favourite blushes of all time from any brand! It is in the shade "Tawny". 9 times out of 10 this is the blush I reach for. I have a medium skin tone with (in between) neutral/pink undertones. It adds the most beautiful hue to my cheeks, lasts all day and blends beautifully. J.I. has the bonus of having "clean" and toxic free ingredients. I would definitely replace this blush when I run out! The size makes it perfect for travel as well.

Lip Treatments -Jane Iredale -Lip Drink

My lips are always chapped ever since I can remember even though I'm in the tropics. So I've always been in the hunt for great lip balms.
I recenlty traveled to a country that just started spring and experienced really bad chapped lips that were splitting and raw all over. Tried everything- paw paw, petroleum jelly, other lip balms, so when we got home I headed out to buy this one which had been on my radar. And voila, it cured my severly chapped lips in a DAY!

Great healing powers- cured my severly chapped lips when no other can
Has spf
Casing is pretty

Moisturing feel is short lived, need to reapply constantly
Casing but a bit heavy

For reference, in the past, the lip balms that I have tried and stood out were Jack Black intense lip therapy and Laneige but both are difficult to find in our country.

I have the clear one because they had no other colors.

I have already repurchased because I lost the first one :( but I only intend to use this mostly for healing and skincare, so I typically carry at least 2 lip balms.
