Masks -Garnier -Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask

on 6/23/2018 3:29:00 PM

I adore this mask!
The first one I tried from the range was the green tea one. To be honest, I didn't notice much difference in terms of pores, although I did feel moisturised.
The super-hydrating revitalising mask, however, is much better. When you take it out of the packet, it's incredibly wet. The product is a gel like consistency and can feel slightly sticky. It has a pleasant fruity smell, which isn't too strong in my opinion. The mask is easy to apply and feels incredibly refreshing. Once I've worn the mask for 15 minutes, I remove it and rub the excess product into my skin.
The amount of hydration this gives my skin is amazing. I always use one of these sheet mask after using a clay mask, as clay can make my skin feel slightly dry. This mask instantly reintroduces the moisture my skin needs. I also notice that my skin feels plumper and firmer after using the mask.
All in all, this is my favourite out of all the sheet masks I have used!

Hair Treatments -Garnier -Fructis Repairing Treat with Papaya Extract

on 6/23/2018 12:47:00 AM

Hey! Thanks for reading this review =)

Lets start. My hair is thinning but I have good volume and its just past my shoulders, it's naturally strawberry blond and processed i.e. highlighted, I blow-dry and flat iron, I wash every 2-3 days, I also use a number of products on my hair but not all at once such as: Moroccan Oil (light), dry shampoo, shine spray, light hair spray use. I usually use virgin coconut oil as an overnight hair mask, but I noticed this item on sale whilst picking up a few things at Superstore and I had heard good things about it so I thought meh for $4 bucks, wth.

Question: Am I the only one who goes in for bananas and eggs yet l head straight to the cosmetics just in case theres something I can't live without.... lol yeah I do believe "sucker" is my second name. I used this product in the same manner as I do with the coconut oil, applied a generous amount to the ends of my hair, wrapped it in a towel and off to bed.

After showering the next day I did my usual hair routine and the biggest difference was how ultra bouncy my hair was. I DON'T ever have bouncy hair unless I've been at the stylist and she does her magic but at home, just me? Nope almost never happens. This product worked exactly as described and promised....... wait for real? Yea its such a pleasant surprise huh. It smells fab, its cutesy packaging looks very gram worthy on my shower shelf, but the very best part is that it doesn't weigh my thin, hair down at all. This did give me a better result than the coconut oil as a deep conditioner. I will try it as a 1 minute conditioner next time I wash my hair and see what happens but so far, this product delivers its promise IMO.

Nice work Garnier, tres bien >'.'<

BB Cream -Garnier -BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector - Light/Medium

on 6/19/2018 10:56:00 PM

Got this way back when BB creams were the new kids on the Western beauty block. What a mistake that was! The lightest shade went on dark, oxidised terribly AND had this patchy glitter in it. Miracle skin perfector my arse, only suitable if you have a fake tan so orange that it should be a crime. A more appropriate shade name would have been #01 Radioactive Tangerine.

Gave it away to a friend who loved fake tan the same day I bought it as it looked SO BAD on me. To add insult to injury, it concealed absolutely nothing so on top of looking like I eat nothing but carrots, there were still marks and pimples clearly visible, just now with orange overlay.

Word of warning, this is a shiny and shimmery base so take extra care when outside! It can cause temporarily blindness in those poor souls who encounter you with the sunlight bouncing off your face bling and becoming a human lighthouse. Please wear responsibly.

BB Cream -Garnier -BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector for Combination to Oily Skin - Light

on 6/19/2018 9:55:00 PM

I received the Garnier SkinActive BB cream approximately two weeks ago and began using it immediately. The packaging that it comes it is very colorful, eye catching and informative. I was very impressed by the amount of information listed on the outside of the little box which basically left me in no doubt of what the product contained, what it was primarily for, benefits etc. I often find other products leave a person in doubt of exactly what something specifically does until you have purchased it and opened it. I would give this product 5 stars on presentation and packaging.
As for the product itself, I will list the pros and cons that I found:
- Garnier SkinActive BB is very light and creamy and blends into the skin easily.
- It does not leave your skin feeling clogged or greasy. Its more like you just used a very light moisturizer.
- Although I typically suffer from dry skin and this product is specifically listed for oily or combination skin, I didn't find that my skin was any more dry by using it than normal. In other words, I didn't need to use additional moisturizer in spite of this not being specifically designed for dry skin.
- I found my skin looked smooth and even complected without any other product applied.
- I liked knowing that I had sunscreen on without having to remember to apply it. I apply moisturizer at least once a day anyways so it was nice not having to take extra steps but knowing I was protected.
- There was very little scent to the product but what there was is very light and fresh.

- The one complaint I have is the specific color of the product. While I do not consider myself as having particularly dark skin and am not as tan as I can often get in the summertime, this product was much lighter than my natural skin tone. I would honestly say it seemed more like a LIGHT tone than a Light/Medium as it is listed. I went to several local stores searching for this product in a deeper tone but could only ever find it in this same Light/Medium. It made my face much lighter than the rest of my skin and gave me a rather sickly, pale appearance. I continued using the product in spite of this fact so that I could honestly see what it was like in all other respects but was not able to go out in public with just this on due to its very light tone.

I gave this product only 4 stars in spite of being very impressed overall with it simply for the issue with the color. Honestly I would not purchase this product in the future unless I could find it in other color options that would better match my skin tone.
I did not take before and after photos of myself using this product because of this color issue for my skin. If your natural skin tone is fairly light, I would absolutely recommend this product!

Skincare - Face -Garnier -Skin Active Clearly Brighter Spf 30

on 6/18/2018 1:16:00 PM

I used the SPF15 version of the Clearly Brighter moisturizer in Summer 2017 after finding it on sale, so when that ran out I wanted to try the SPF30. This one just does not work with my skin. The SPF15 was light and absorbed well, but the SPF30 leaves my skin feeling filmy and looking greasy. I have pretty "easy" skin - it's not super sensitive, and doesn't get overly dry or overly oily if I leave it alone, but this moisturizer leaves it feeling gross. No matter what I do, this just doesn't sink into my skin well enough, which sucks because I really prefer something with SPF30. I like the light scent, and since I had a great experience with the SPF15 I am sure the SPF30 will be fine for some people, but for me it just leaves my skin feeling dirty.
