Polishes -China Glaze -Ma-Holo at Me

on 7/17/2018 4:50:00 PM

Very pretty linear holo. From their Summer 2018 Shades of Paradise Collection, China Glaze's Ma-Holo at me is an icy, metallic sky blue with a holographic effect that is definitely present and visible. Although it's not quite as strong as what you get from Color Club and some of the indie brands. But it's a real holo polish, not like their Holo at Ya Girl from a couple of years ago!

Excellent formula as well. Very smooth application, pretty much opaque in one coat (but I used 2), and no problems with wear either.

High quality product overall. Beautiful color. I'd definitely buy it again.

Polishes -China Glaze -Flip Flop Fantasy

The colour drew me to buy this but the application is so awful I will never buy China Glaze again! And here in Canada, it cost $8 so it wasn't cheap either. Booooo.

Polishes -China Glaze -Don't Make Me Blush

on 7/13/2018 1:46:00 PM

Nice color - a pinky-peachy-salmon color that looks nice with my pale winter skin or nice with a tan. Goes with a lot of things, looks nice, polished enough for work.

I like China Glaze but I've found that this one seems to be chip-py - not staying on my nail very well. Usually I like China Glaze, so this may just be a bad batch or an old bottle.

In general, not bad. May repurchase.

Polishes -China Glaze -I Just Canterlot

on 7/6/2018 7:26:00 PM

LOVE!! So Much! From their My Little Pony collection, China Glaze's I Just Canterlot is made up of fine purple microglitter and lots of holographic microglitters suspended in a sheer purple jelly base. Sparkly and fun to wear. It is so cute! This is one of my very favorite ChG's!

It goes on sheer but is opaque after two coats. It also looks good with just one coat though, if you prefer a more delicate and glittery look. After two coats, you get a more rich and vibrant purple that's densely packed with purple and holo glitter. It's absolutely gorgeous and I'm so glad I bought this one!

I got excellent wear from this polish, and removal is a snap if you use acetone.

I'd definitely buy this one again. Highly Recommended!! Love it!

Polishes -China Glaze -OMG

on 7/2/2018 6:17:00 PM

In 2008 China Glaze released their much-lusted-after OMG holographic polish collection, and now for it's ten year anniversary they've re-released six out of the original twelve shades as the OMG Flashback collection. I've got a few of their original OMG polishes and think that the strength of the holographic shimmer between the two collections is about the same - such a relief, because the other holographic shades from the brand post-OMG have been pretty "meh".

OMG is a silver shade, that is filled with a intense linear holographic shimmer. A lovely shade, but in the world of Indie polishes there are hundreds of similar polishes, and [in the mainstream] Color Club and Nails inc both have a popular range of linear holographic polishes, which have silver options in. On the other hand; Indies, Nails inc and Color Club are more expensive.

I know that I'm repeating myself a lot in my China Glaze polish reviews, but I've just been having loads of good luck with their formulations recently - they were hit or miss for a while, but the brand is now back on track. The formula for OMG is a fantastic one coater if you apply a thicker coat, though I do always recommend (at least) two thinner coats of any polish for a better wear time - but it's nice to know that if you don't have a lot of time to spend on your mani, that this is a good time-saving option. The formula is neither too thick or too thin, has great pigmentation, it is smooth, even and non-streaky to apply, it dries quickly, and I've not experienced any staining, bleeding, or shrinkage [I always wear a basecoat]. In general nail polishes will last me anywhere between two to four days with only minimal wear. But as I'm a self powered wheelchair user I'm tough on my hands and am always catching my nails, so I can't really speak for how long lasting the formula is overall.
