Polishes -China Glaze -Flying Dragon

Biggest disappointment ever in a polish! I bought a bottle of this several years ago, around 2010 and I remember using it back then and getting compliments on the color. I pulled this out to wear it now, 8 years later, and it was horrid. It turned out a completely different color than in the bottle, it dried an ugly matte, and where did those beautiful blue shimmers go? They are so evident in the bottle. Soo, thinking my old bottle had turned bad, I bought a brand new one last month. It did the very same thing. I was soo disappointed as I expected the color I saw in the bottle. I especially did not like the look of it once it dried. It looked like a deep pink plum shade and not at all close to the color in the bottle which was more magenta with strong blue shimmers. The photo here shows a purple and mine is not anything close to the one shown here. Neither of my bottles look at all like the purple shown in the photo above. The formula on this was fine and it only took 2 easy coats on my nail to get the look I wanted. I don't know the wear time as I only wore this one day as I didn't like the color it turned out to be when dry. I tried this again only using a white base coat and only 1 coat of polish that I floated on slightly heavy and once it dried it still turned dark and matte but the blue shimmers were still visible in the dried polish, only they were matte and didn't shimmer either, so I don't know what the point of adding them to the polish was. This actually is not pretty at all when dry. It turns dark and drab and those blue specks make it look dirty. I've tried numerous times to like this one, but I just don't. Giving it a shiny top coat helps, but it still has that darkened dirty look. No, thank you to this one. It simply isn't a good fit for me, but maybe someone else will absolutely love this one. I don't.

I’m sad to say that China Glaze is not on my list of things to buy in the future... it flaked off of my fingernails just a day after application. For what it costs, it isn’t great quality.

Polishes -China Glaze -Werk It Honey!

Werk It Honey! is a beautiful pastel yellow from the Spring 2018 collection.

If you have ever attempted to wear yellow polish it is almost always a nightmare to work with. The pigment itself is more transparent and runny so the results are usually a hot mess. So my review here is comparing this yellow to other yellows. The fact that this has a regular 2 coat formula is something of a miracle for a pastel yellow. Now to be totally fair I kinda dragged the polish on one of my nails giving myself a little bald spot, so one nail has 3 coats, but I am going to chalk that up to user error.

The other challenge with yellows is they can look unhealthy on nails. But this is such a playful non- muddy color that this just looks fun. I would call this a Spring/Summer color. The china glaze website makes this look like a egg-yolk yellow. It's more pastel in person.

Polishes -China Glaze -Glitter Me This...

Beautiful glitter topper! I own a ton of glitter top coats but none that look exactly like this one. China Glaze's Glitter Me This is made up matte white and metallic gold hexes and microglitters suspended in a clear base. It's a cute, versatile combo and I'm so glad I bought this one.

It dries down nicely, very flat and smooth. Applies well, no issues with wear, and removal is a snap of you use acetone.

Excellent polish overall! I would definitely buy this one again!! A+

Polishes -China Glaze -Cherry Pie

on me looks nothing like these reviews. chg description... a brite red with orange undertones. they must be on crack. i thought i was sent orange pacific. its a unique, vibrant, cool toned coral orange with tons of sparkly visible pink glass flecks. and nothing red about it. at first i was disappointed cuz expected a marchiano cherry color but my rasberry festival from this collection is the cherry/berry red. looks prettier than images which mke it look like a plain not sparkly, warm toned orangey/red. its a fun, one of a kind color thats flattering on my fair cool toned skin. easy to apply and remove.
