Polishes -China Glaze -Nail Lacquer - IDK

on 11/4/2018 5:54:00 PM

In 2008 China Glaze released their much-lusted-after OMG holographic polish collection, and now for it's ten year anniversary they've re-released six out of the original twelve shades as the OMG Flashback collection. I've got a few of their original OMG polishes and think that the strength of the holographic shimmer between the two collections is about the same - such a relief, because the holographic shades from the brand post-OMG have been pretty "meh" overall. IDK is a dusty purple/lilac shade, that is filled with a linear holographic shimmer. This is my favourite shade in the OMG Flashback collection and is backed up with a winning formula.

The formula is pretty much fantastic in one coat, if you apply a thicker coat, though I do always recommend (at least) two thinner coats of any polish for a better wear time - but it's nice to know that if you don't have a lot of time to spend on your mani, that this is a good time-saving option. The formula is neither too thick or too thin, has great pigmentation, it is smooth, even and non-streaky to apply, it dries quickly, and I've not experienced any staining, bleeding, or shrinkage [I always wear a basecoat]. In general nail polishes will last me anywhere between two to four days with only minimal wear. But as I'm a self powered wheelchair user I'm tough on my hands and am always catching my nails, so I can't really speak for how long lasting the formula is overall.

Polishes -China Glaze -Nail Polish - Ruby Pumps

A lovely deep glitter red that applies quite smoothly, although not as smoothly as other CG shades - but that's due to the glitter particles. Good shine, especially when I make sure I've done 2 coats and followed with top coat, and no issues with chipping either, at least for a few days, after which as with any jelly polish it's inevitable. But I do have one's not easy to remove. In fact it's a pain as the glitter refuses to come off and it takes a lot off cotton and remover to eventually take it all off. Aside from that a very festive and fun shade which I'll purchase again.

Nails -China Glaze -Nail Lacquer - That's Shore Bright

on 10/24/2018 4:53:00 PM

ChG's That's Shore Bright is a beautiful shade of neon orchid-purple. It's super-vivid and eye-catching. The color is so saturated, and it looks amazing on the nail.

Four lippies instead of five because of the formula. It's opaque in two coats. BUT this polish really drags on the second coat and pulls up the polish from underneath, leaving bald spots if you're not careful.

And being a neon, it dries to a matte finish. But I just added a shiny top coat, problem solved.

The color itself is just so lovely, and I don't have anything else that looks exactly like it.

I'd buy this one again.

Polishes -China Glaze -- Pick Me Up Purple

Excellent glitter polish!! I LOVE this one!!! So freaking GORGEOUS! From their Star Hopping Collection for Holiday 2015, China Glaze's Pick Me Up Purple is made up of densely-packed purple microglitters and small holographic hexes in a clear base. It looks amazing on the nail. Super-sparkly!

Excellent formula as well. Opaque in two coats and no problems with application or wear. Doesn't dry to a rough finish. And removal is a snap of you use acetone.

This is one of my favorite ChG's. I would definitely buy it again. Highly Recommended! A+++

Polishes -China Glaze -Glamletics

on 10/21/2018 7:46:00 PM

Beautiful! From their Chic Physique Collection for Spring 2018, China Glaze's Glamletics is a bright and cheerful shade of medium periwinkle blue. There's also a very subtle iridescent pink shimmer, but it's more visible in the bottle than on the nail.

The formula was very runny and watery, though. So four lippies instead of five. Applying this polish was a little annoying, but it was opaque after two coats and it dried beautifully.

Overall, this is a gorgeous shade and I love it. I'd definitely buy it again!
